We are contemplating adding a few days onto our beach vacation and staying at one of the Value Resorts for 3 nights before we head to the beach in June. I've never stayed at one of the Value resorts so I have a few questions. Which of the All Star resorts have been recently renovated? Is it just Movies? In the summer, do the All Star resorts share buses? If so, which resort does the bus stop at first? We will not be doing any parks as we are going to all the parks in 2 weeks; this little stay would just be to hang at the pool and go to Disney Springs and stuff before heading to the beach for a week. TIA!

Movies has been renovated. Music is currently being worked on. Sometimes the all stars share buses but typically only maybe midday. The first stop is sports, then music, then movies. But that doesn't mean you actually experience bus sharing.

Movies has been completely renovated, Music is in the process of being renovated now.

Contrary to rumors, the All stars do NOT share a bus except during the low traffic times of the day (midday when many people are already in the parks) During morning and evening each all star has its own bus. If they are sharing the bus will stop at Sports first, then Music, then Movies.

Fun fact about the All Stars, they are "sister" resorts meaning you can go to any of the pools at all 3 resorts if you are a guest at one of them.

Historically very true, but mickeystoontown posted this recently.

We were at Movies during the Thanksgiving holiday and there was a LOT of bus sharing. By the time the bus went from Sports to Music and then to Movies, they were either full or only a couple of people could get on. It wasn't like that the year before

We just returned from the World after staying at Sports from 12/19 to 12/28. This was our third time staying at an All Star Resort and we have never seen so much bus sharing. This was especially true for the first bus of the mornings. That bus was a shared one more often than not. We were still at the parks in time to be at the front of the rope but it was still a little frustrating. Afternoon and evening buses were also mostly shared.

Our experience was just a few months prior to this and there was no bus sharing except for during the slow periods - I know that Disney's bus system is extremly dynamic (they make a lot of changes on the fly based on guest volume and bus availability), it's always possible that there was something going on (bus breakdowns, short staffing, a million other things that can throw a monkey wrench in logistics) during this time frame that caused them to resort to bus sharing for the all stars. It'd be interesting to hear reports back on it over the next few months and see whether this is truly a change or if it was an anomaly.

It is typical for buses to be shared very early(like the first bus), in the lower midday/afternoon times, to low crowd places(we shared going to typhoon lagoon over Christmas break), and Disney springs(especially during the day). There was a little sharing at odd times or odd combinations(two of three sharing and one alone). But really the majority of the time, each had their own. This was our experience over christmas break(12/21-12/29 over this year). It doesn't take very long to go from resort to resort because there is only one security gate for the whole complex. Not any worse than a multi stop moderate resort.

Our experience since our first stay at the All-Stars in 2004 is that "Park Open Buses" RARELY share,"Park Close Buses" "sometimes",but not often, share and "mid-day buses",the Water Parks,Disney Springs and ESPN WWoS buses almost always share.

Just our experience(we mainly stay at the All-Stars in January/July/October).
