Going to WDW october 4-8th. Would like to stay at a value resort. At that time of year, will the all-star resorts share buses or will each resort have its own bus? If they are sharing buses, which resort generally gets picked up first (meaning more chance of getting a seat or even getting on the bus)?? thanks!!!:dance3:

i have been staying at all star sports the last 8 years.
always go the same time period.
last week of sept/ first week of october.

based on my past stays there, i can say the busses did not share with the other hotels in the morning, or up to 10:00.

it was shared one or two times with the other two hotels for the afternoon when i was last there.
it was mid afternoon on those occassions.

in the evenings, leaving the MK, busses to all stars do not share busses.
they all have different lines to be in.
what i did was if the music bus had a short line, i would hop in that line for that bus.
get off at music and walk to my room at sports.

i guess it depends where your building is to make that feasible like it did for me.

when the busses are shared, it goes to sports - music - then movies.

that is the route it follows.

if you are at sports, you will get a seat on the times it will be shared.

there were 3 nights that the busses from epcot were shared.
i'm talking about 9:30 during the height of the mad dash after illuminations.

but, there were 3 busses waiting all for the all stars those 3 nights.
the stops were first sports, then music and last, movies.

i know at different months, the bus pattern has not the same as it is for my time period there.

i have read opposite of other's experiences.
maybe i did not encounter very many sharing of the busses due to the times i needed to return back to my hotel and the date.

Time of year doesn't matter, but time of day does.

Early in the a.m. (more than 1 hour before park opening), all buses are shared.

From 1 hour before park opening until 11 a.m., most AS buses serve just one resort; a few may share.

After 11 a.m., most MK buses still serve one resort; each of the other parks' buses share the 3 resorts.

DTD buses always share.

When the buses are shared, most will go in this order: Sports, Music, Movies. Occasionally, a bus will be sent in reverse order, usually after one or more buses have filled up before reaching Movies.

Returning from the parks, MK has separate buses. During the peak return times (right after fireworks or Fantasmic!), Epcot and sometimes DHS will have separate buses. The rest of the time, and from DAK, buses will share Sports, Music, and Movies.

Everything is subject to change. Enhancements are in the works for DHS buses; I don't know whether that will include separate AS buses at more times.

i never had a shared bus in the morning prior to park opening the last few years.

Only more than an hour before opening -- what are commonly called "breakfast buses". Once the morning rush starts, the buses are separate until 11 a.m., except for scattered "upstream" buses taking guests from the park back to the resort.

I've stayed at the All Stars a few times and rarely had to share a bus. It's not at all what people on here make it out to be. It's made to sound like a horrible situation....the funny part is that the mods all have multiple stops and know one says boo about it.

OP...try any of the values...you will enjoy your stay.

I wondered what the cut-off time for those early morning buses was, and when the regular buses take over. Thanks.

You last line is the correct one. Everything is subject to change. Because, for my stay this past December, we never shared a bus with the other All Star Resorts, no matter the time of day. There is just no way to know ahead of time how often your resort will share a bus, and how often it will have one of its own.

I agree people make way too much out of this sharing buses thing. At the times they share it will take no more than 15 extra minutes on the bus, probably less. The front of the 3 All Stars - where the bus drops and picks up are all with in walking distance of each other. On our stay at Yacht Club last year we also shared a bus and the distance around those resorts is actually much further. We have always enjoyed not having to drive. We have used the bus at both the Yacht and Music resorts. Sometimes the bus is full and sometimes it is not but it always gets us home! Relax and enjoy, it will be fun to say on site at the Values!
