All Star Preferred vs LM AoA

Trying to decide between the new LM AoA rooms and a preferred All Stars room. They are roughly the same price within a few dollars. Are the LM rooms worth the walk? Seems about the same as walk to 80s at Pop where we stayed last Summer which wasn't horrible. New vs close?

We stayed in the LM rooms Sept 2012. The rooms were cute (even though A/C didn't work in my mom and sister's room) however, I really found myself wishing we were closer to the food court, refillable drink station, arcade and buses. Especially after coming home late from the parks and already feeling pretty tired.

For the next trip, we're planning on All-Star movies and I'm requesting the Mighty Duck section (not my favourite theme AT ALL) just to have a quick walk to the All-Star Music food court and buses. It is like having a preferred room without paying the preferred room price premium.

All that said, my personal vote would be for close over new.

Thanks! A preferred room actually came open at the ASMU today creating my dilemma. I went for it. It will be nice for refilling mugs. swimming, etc. 5 min more walking after 12 hours of walking can seem like a mile! LOL I really like the food court at ASMU too. I like all the value resorts, but it makes it hard to choose. They just scream Disney and make me feel like a kid again!

That would be my choice too! Preferred at ASM!
