What building are they located in? Bus transportation for EMH? Pool towels? Magical Express offered? Might save some money and switch over from Beach Club. Are they clean?

We had a great stay at the ASMu suites just this past May. They are located in Calypso, which is a prefered building, so you are close to the bus stops and the food court. The Value resorts don't provide pool towels, but you can call housekeeping and have them bring you more towels. What the Music has that no other Value resort has is fun and games by the pool. they show movies at night, and during the day they play games like bingo.

We had no issues with the cleanliness of the whole resort. And the busses were fine. You share with the other All Star resorts sometimes, but not all the time. Usually we shared going to the parks, but not on the way back from the parks.

Hope this helps because I'm sure you can save a ton of money switching from the Beach Club to the ASMU. Now you won't have Storm Along Bay to play in, but if you are not planning on doing a lot of swimming, I don't think you will regret the switch.

We spent 7 nights in a family suite, followed by 2 nights at the Beach Club. Best of both worlds, really.

Our suite was in the Jazz building. Still close to everything. We did not have a problem with cleaniliness. Here are a few pics:

Mickey was there to welcome us...and best of all, the suite was ready when I checked in at about 11AM!

Here is the living room with one of the bathrooms (curtain drawn) at the back. Both the green couch and red chair also pulled out into beds. My nephew preferred that tiny bed which folded up to be the hassock to put in front of the chair.

As you can see here, both bathrooms have the sink area separate from the toilet/tub area. There is also room to hang clothes and store items. Each storage area has a safe.

I think this shot gives some idea of the size of the suite

And, I know someone wants to know, so here is our room #! It was on the 2d floor of the Jazz building (#9) facing the main pool

Overall, I was very pleased with my decison to stay in the family suite. There was plenty of storage space, and the ends of each of the armoire/entertainment centers were designed with shelves to stash your stuff. When we were there in August we thougth it was too hot to go to the pool much before sundown, but, that was what the Beach Club portion of the vacation was for.

Hope you have as great a time as we did!!

Oh, I think the movies started at 8 or 9..after it got dark. They may start earlier these days.

And to the OP, Yes, you do get ME and busses to EMH.

We were in Jazz Inn in a regular room right next to the suites. The Calypso and Jazz Inn were recently refurbished so they are all new. The suites take up the equivalent space of two regular rooms so they are quite large.

As for pool towels they have a large yellow cart by the pool full of towels for the taking. Though by the end of the day it's usually empty, you can call down for more.

I've heard nothing but rave reviews for the family suites.

At 9PM every night they show a movie by the pool on a huge blow up projection screen, weather permitting.

The Family Suites start at $184 a night duing value season in 2008.
Most of the Disney resorts (excluding DVC) charge extra for more than 2 adults in a room.
The Family Suites do not charge extra for extra adults.
1-6 adults can stay in the Family Suites for the same et price.
The Family Suites have discounts available also so if you keep your eyes open you just may snag a great deal.

Family Suite info:

DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) in Sept. of 2006.

We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.

I thought the pullouts very comfortable.

They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.

Info thread--Pullouts in Family Suites at ASMU with photos of how the pullout is supported.

The pullout chair and large ottoman each pull out into standard size twin beds.
