We had the most incredible time at ASmu. We have stayed at Deluxe resorts before and haven't gotten such treatment. The day we checked in our rooms were ready at 11:00. I thought we were going to have to wait. About an hour after we checked in I was delivered a huge gift basket for my birthday, out of they blue. (They asked in April if there would be any special occasions coming up, we told them of our anniversary and my birthday, but we thought nothing of it.) The day after we left was our anniversary and they sent us a gift for that also. Mousekeeping came just to check and make sure everything was up to par with us. We couldn't ask for more. I was leery of a "value resort" because we had a bad experience the first time. Not anymore!

Good to hear a positive report! I have stayed at both Movies and Music and would definately stay at either one of them again. And this is after a deluxe stay as well.

Just curious, but what part of ASMu did you stay in? Broadway, Jazz, Calypso....?

I've stayed in most sections but LOVE Broadway the best. Country was really fun for my DD and my sister, but I just love Broadway!

What did you think of the food compared to your deluxe stays? I personally think the ASMu food court is great for people on the go, and people with all different tastes!

We stayed at ASMu this past may... our previous visit to wdw was in Dec 2001, when we stayed at the Dolphin.

As nice as the Dolphin was, ASMu beat the Dolphin hands down in the "value for money" category!

The rooms, when you consider actual living space, weren't really any smaller. The pools were nice, as was the gift shop. We aren't really into the pampering/amenities thing, so we would have no problems staying that the All-Stars again in the future.

The ASMu is my personal favorite, and we've stayed at deluxes and moderates all over WDW. I love Jazz because of the lovely rose garden and fountain out in front. I find the soundproofing at the All Stars much superior to every deluxe I've been in.

We have stayed here many times and always enjoyed it. We usually stay at the sports or music.
