I'm in the process of planning a trip for a choral group to participate in Disney's Magic Music Days and I want to stay at ASMu. What's the likelihood that I would get the building request I want? Since we're a vocal group I'd love to stay in the Broadway section.

Any thoughts? Thank you!

We stayed in Broadway once, and there was a cheerleading group staying there as well. There were a couple other groups there, they seemed to all be in Jazz and Calypso (before it became preferred).

Broadway really isn't in a prime location, so you'd probably get your request. ;)

My Ds's high school band participated in Magic Music Days and we were all assigned to the Rock Buildings. We were all together and it worked out well!

It really all depends on how large the group is, and how the occupancy of the resort is laid out at the time. Putting in a request certainly can't hurt... but it can't be guaranteed.

Hello scanne! I'm in Marlton!! I would put in a request asap!! Is it a school group? Good luck in Disney!!

Hi Nysie.

Yes it's a school group. We haven't made any reservations yet. Actually the kids don't even know about it yet! They are going to FLIP! I'm going crazy not being able to say anything yet. I have to wait for the school board to approve the trip. The Superintendent already has but we need the board's approval as well. I don't really care which building we are in. I just don't want to be in Country Fair. That's where I stayed in 1996 and it was just too far from everything. And I just think Broadway is appropriate since I'm taking a musical theater singing group, you know?!

Anyway, I can't wait to really start my planning for this trip. I know for some of my student's it will be an experience of a lifetime!

Hi scanne! I hope since the super. approved it, the board will follow! I bet you ARE going nuts not being able to say anything! When is this trip panned for? We are going in July and staying at the poly! We can't wait!! Is your group middle or inter mediate or senior? My dd wants to take voice lessons to go along with her dancing!! She is in a dance compettition group, and 2 yrs. ago they danced in Disney!! She can't wait to get to high school, and do some plays or musicals!! She will have to wait for 4 more yrs. though!! Hope all goes well, so you can TALK!!

Disney's Magic Music Days take place all year round. It is an opportunity for a performing group to come to WDW and perform at one of the theme parks. Disney also offers workshops led by Disney professionals that help the students learn what it is like to rehearse for a professional production. In some cases, some performing groups get to march down Main Street in a parade. Others are on a stage. I've seen performances in Tomorrowland and in Future World. I actually marched down Main Street with my high school's marching band when I was in 9th grade. It is a wonderful educational opportunity for students in the performing arts. Disney also offers educational group tours with classes geared towards academic areas. Isn't that so cool? I think so. ;)
