All Star Movies?

I just read the post about the puke
comforter back on the bed at ASMu. eeeeeeek!!! I've never stayed at an All Star resort before. We thought we'd try this since we're never in the room. Now I'm worried!

Dont worry! Incidents like that can and will happen everywhere. Unfortunately you are more likely to hear the bad over the good.
While I agree that person did have a bad stay at ASMU, we have stayed at ASMO, 3x and ASSP once, and enjoyed our stays there very much. Housekeeping has always been great for us. In fact on our most recent trip we split our stay between ASSP & the POLY(my favorite) and we had housekeeping issues at the Poly, but ASSP's housekeeping was wonderful.
While these incidents do happen, hopefully they arent the norm at any resort.

I've stayed @ASMo and ASMu numerous times and had no problems. Once we returned to our room and there seemed to be a moldy smell. I stopped a housekeeper who was outside and she came back and sprayed sanitizer in every corner of the room. I had to nearly force her to take the tip I had left. Bad things happen everywhere and WDW is no exception. The poor mother that posted about the sick child had numerous stresses and not much was done to make it right. We've stayed in deluxe resort and still find AS a good value and a nice place to stay. As a matter of fact, we think the food court is much, much nicer than CR. Only 19 days 'till we hit the road for our WDW vacation!

We just stayed at ASMO for 10 nights and it was one of the cleanest rooms we have stayed in. Bear in mind we usually go for the 4 star hotels but the kids were dying to do Movies. Anyway the one thing I really noticed was that the carpet was clean. Usually the kids socks (regardless of star value at the hotel) are black on the bottom from dirty carpet. At ASMO they stayed white. Obviously they had cleaned the carpet recently. Another thing I noticed was LACK of mold smell. We frequently vacation in Florida to do beach vacations and every place I have stayed at will frequently have a strange smell, especially in that extra drain in the bathroom sink and the shower curtain. I may notice this more since I am from Colorado and we have no humidity so moldy smells are really alien to us. Like you I was worried about this resort not being clean but I truly had no concerns. Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for all the positive posts. Disney is usually immaculate to me! It's true, things like that can happen anywhere. I'm glad to hear how clean ASMo was recently. I was just suprised and kind of disgusted when I read that. I'm sure it will be fine. I just panicked for a minute there!

As in most areas of life, people LOVE reporting the EXCEPTION, and not the RULE. That incident was truly the exception to the rule. IMO Disney thrives on *no surprises* in that everything from mousekeeping to transportation to crowd control is pragmatic and totally structured.

ASMu is quite possibly THE BEST Disney Resort for everything DISNEY! You will have a great time, ENJOY!
