:earsgirl: This is a really easy/silly question..but I will ask away anyway...

I have decided to get rid of our fridge option in the room b/c I didn't want to pay the extra $60. But was wondering if there were plenteful ice machines and soda machines available 24 hours a day in the resort. B/c I don't know about you..But I Love to have an ice cold drink at the end of the day. But not really sure if the $60 extra was worth it if they had soda/ice machines nearby available anytime.
Could anyone give me the heads up on this??
Thank you.

Yes there are ice machines and soda machines. The sodas aren't cheap though. As a suggestion, maybe take a cooler and fill it with ice from the ice machine and keep your cold drinks in there.

We found the refillable mugs of pop well worth it. You can add lots of ice if you want too!

We just got back from our trip, and our DD was on medication for an ear infection.{it needed to be refrigerated} They gave us one free of charge because it was for medical purposes-no questions asked. Just an idea... ;)

Ready for the flames!

Thanks to folks on the DIS Board, dh made a quick early morning jaunt to the Publix. This was a very easy trip and well worth it. He found prices there to actually be less than what we pay at home. I will no longer haul all sorts of food and drinks along with me.

We had a fridge during our stay at ASMu. However, the fridge was so small that we ended up keeping our drinks in a cooler. Large ice machines are centrally located in each building. This was much more affordable than the refillable mugs for us and definitely more convenient. (We were in the Rock section -- far, far away from the food court.) I noticed when we checked-out along with LOTS of other families on Sunday that nearly everyone was toting a cooler of some sorts.

Just back from ASMu and from what I noticed if you want ice from the ice machine located in each building you had better get it early because it seemed the machine was out by late afternoon or early evening. And yes there are vending machines with pop in them but they aren't cheap. Neither are the snack vending machines.
