Anyone know how long the construction / work on the fantasia pool is going to go one for? How long is it schedule to be closed? Thanks, MKY :D

I would also like to know.
Are they doing pool work of the fantasia pool? I haven't seen any information on it. I hope they are done before we arrive.

We were there last weekend, and the rehab was an unexpected one that began on June 9th and was hoped to be completed by June 19th. Since we left on the 15th, I have no idea if it was completed by the expected date.

What I do know is that the workers were busy working on that pool, (which by the way had been refilled by the time we left) both day and night, and even on Sunday.

The resort was offering complementary shuttle service from the front entrance of the main building to each of the other AS main pools. We took advantaget of the Calypso Pool at Music, which was quite nice.

Hopefully by the time of your trip, the Fantasia Pool will be up and running, if it isn't already!

Have a fun and safe trip!:)

Just got off the phone with ASMovies and the rehab is done and the pool is opened again.

We were at All Star Movies from the 16th to the 20th, the pool opened up on the 19th. I wish someone from Disney would have told us about the pool and we would have stayed somewhere else. There were alot of 'guests' upset about this.

I am sure people were upset, but it sounds like it was an unscheduled rehab so it was probably an emergency repair.

The repair was unforeseen, so there was no way for them to know when you made your ressie that it wouldn't be open, unless you made your ressie on June 9th or after. We made our ressie on June 2nd for a check in on June 13th... the pool closed on June 9th... there was NO WAY they could have let us know, and can you imagine calling everyone with ressies during that time frame and trying to accomodate resort changes?! What a nightmare!!!!!!

They made it as convenient as possible by supplying a shuttle to the other pools... that is not usually something that is done on a regular basis.

We didn't find it inconvenient at all. We walked to the pool at Music and had a blast!

Yes, it would have been nice to swim in the Fantasia Pool, but it certainly didn't keep us from having a fantastic time, or wanting to return in the future !!!

My friend at work just got back and said it was under rehab and closed. Her check in dates were in on the 9th and checked out on the 17th! She said they just used the mighty ducks pool and that was fine. I felt bad cause I helped her plan her trip and did not obviously know about the rehab, but she was fine about the whole thing. She was very happy at the all star movies! They had a prefered room in fantasia, and got her ground floor request. :D

MKY :)
