Good Morning everyone!! I was wondering if anyone can tell me if All Star Movies is one of the resort that does the DDP? I was thinking about adding it to our reservation. Thanks in advance

Yes, ASMo does participate in the DDP. If you have a room-only reservation, you will have to turn it into a package by adding at least a 1-day park ticket per person, and also add the dining as well. If you already have tickets on the reservation, just call to add the dining.

Oh thank you so much! Yes we have tickets for the parks so I just need to get that added. When I first made the reservations back in January I didn't think we needed the DDP. Now after making the restaurant reservation and looking at the prices of everything I have changed my mind. LOL Then I read somewhere that only certain value resorts do the DDP so I was getting worried. I will put that on my ToDo list for tonight. Thanks again!!

How did you get your tickets? were the purchased with your room reservation and called a package (meaning your deposit was 200 not the first night and they are bundled together)? if they were purchased in any other way, then it is not a package and therefore dining can not be added. If you have a package then it is definitely and easy change as long as you are more than 5 days from your arrival date.

All Disney resorts do the DDP. There Swan and Dolphin and the DTD resorts/hotels which seem to be on Disney property are not disney owned and therefor do not participate in the ddp and other Disney property perks.

Beth...I purchased everything thru the Disney phone number. I paid the $200. So that is consider a package right?

I see that you said the ASMo was your favorite. If you don't mind me asking what did you like about it?

All DISNEY and on-site DVC resorts participate in the DDP.

Not necessarily. If you received a discounted room, or even booked a room only plus tickets through AAA or an agency, that may not be a "package." You may need to cancel and re-book the reservation, which shouldn't be a problem, just an additional step.

It does sound like a package since it would be odd though not unheard of that your discounted room would come to 200. However a simple call to disney to add dining will most likely get it done no real problems reguardless. I just wanted to make sure you didnt already have tickets purchased separately that would not be able to be used as part of a package. Call and find out.

We really liked ASMo because the children had a bll there. I didnt have children of my own prior to 2003 to take to DIsney and so the experiences were different. I did not feel that Contemporary felt like disney and even though it wasn't 'spread' out it was still a hike from the wing to the main building to do the food court or catch transportation. We walked just as much there as we did at the other resorts and ended up driving everywhere except MK. AKL was great with the kids but we didnt like it anybetter than ASMo and so it wasn't worth the extra. AKl did have the least walking for us since we were in a standard room close to a stairwell and an elevator that let out in perfect places to get to the mara or the bus stop. We didnot get a savannag room. ASMo was just bright and exciting as you walked. We drove everywhere from ASMo though. I didn't want to drive to MK but there were so many people waiting the day we tried to take the bus there. However that was just first thing in the morning and late at night. We don't park hop, so what we would do is drive to the park in the morning, take the bus back during the day for a break and then back to the park. Then drive back to the resort. We had no problems with the buses in this fassion and it may well have been just fine morning/evening but we just didn't bother since we had our own car. We liked the food court at ASMo tons better than AKL or CR. We really didn't find the walks to be bad...if I was carrying the kids maybe but it just really isnt that far to the furthest point. They do like the water slide at AKL but hardly even mentioned it since it was still a fun pool.

If you have booked a suite at AS Music can you use the dining plan as well? I recall somewhere in these boards that the answer is no but I was just fooling around on the disney travel website and it accepted it.
