Hi all!

Well, it's official, I'm going to Disney! My friend and I (we're in our 20s) are going for a long weekend in March, and I'm so excited (I haven't been in a few years, and my friend hasn't been since she was small). That being said, I would love some advice on my touring plan:

March 17th - March 20th

17th (Thursday): AM = check in and MK. Night = Epcot EMH
18th (Friday): AM = MK. PM (or night) = MGM EMH
19th (Saturday): AM = AK EMH. PM = Epcot
20th (Sunday): Checkout and go home

How does this look? I took the advice of people and am staying away from MK on Saturday. I also tried to take advantage of the EMHs that are being offered during that time.

We're staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter, and I'd also love some advice on requesting a building that is central to the buses and food area. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

I would say replace one of your AK mornings with MK or something else, but that's my personal preference. DH and I get bored at AK and tired of all the walking and the streets are narrow so it always feels crowded and hot. However, if you have never been there, you may want more time for it anyway. That's my main suggestion though.

We just stayed at POFQ and building 4 was where we were...right behind the bus station. Just request a building close to the bus when you check in and they will try to do it for you. It's real close to the lobby, food court, etc.

Your itinerary is very well thought out. I agree that AK is a good choice for Saturday morning. Saturdays at the Magic Kingdom can be pretty congested. We have always found Friday mornings at the MK to be great, and we were able to do just about everything with no problem when using the fastpasses to our advantage!

For your AK morning, I'd say be there when the rope drops and head straight back to the Safari. As soon as you're done with that, go to Kali. Then perhaps Dinosaur and It's Tough to Be a Bug. DH and I consider those the highlights (of course Everest will eventually take a spot in that rotation). We take our time through the Oasis on the way out to look at the animals, and then head to another park, usually by noon.
Have a great time!

DoomBuggyBabe has the right idea--with one small change. Instead of going on the safari right away, get a fastpass. The safari is where everyone runs to and then figures that there isn't that big of a line so they go on the ride. Since it is a fairly long attraction, lines are building up everywhere else while you are on the ride. If you get the fastpass, you are basically holding your place in no line--you'll be one of the first to be allowed to come back! :cool1: The first FP will probably tell you to come back 1 hr after you get it, and you can get a second FP 1 hr and 5 min. after you get the first one (it's printed on the ticket).

Ready for the good part? Go over to dinosaur, or tough to be a bug (one of my favorites)or primeval whirl and have a great time! Remember everyone else is standing in the now formed line for the safari. :earboy2: Ok, now you have been on a few rides, and still have your FP for the safari. The time has come when you can go on the ride--but before you do, go get a FP for Kali river rapids. The clock will be ticking on your second FP while you are using your first! The second one will tell you to come back in another hour +. By that time the temp will be rising, and you'll need something to cool you down--and Kali will cool you down :rotfl2:

Have a great trip

One of our favorite things to do at AK when there is extra time waiting on the safari....go to the little bakery at Tusker House and eat a cinnamon roll....mmmm...makes the day better!
