All Seasons travel 600.00 cheaper then Dreams ???

I think i see where the mistake could be in comparing the prices!I am booked with Dreams for March 2004 and I just went to all seasons site to see if their rate would be cheaper and IT WAS MORE THAN DU. I think some of you might not be reading the fine print. The rates they quote for 4 or 5 people in the cabin assume that the 3rd and 4th and 5th passengers are under 12. If they are over 12 you need to add $200 per person more. For the intial poster of this thread, Do you have 3 kids under 12 in the room? If they are over 12 you need to add $600. Also insurance and ground transfers are NOT included in their quote. Were they included in your DU quote?

Here's the comparison on my quote:
I have a Cat 10 room with 4 people 2 kids OVER 12.
allseasons $3735 with NO INS, NO TRANSFERS.
My quote from DU WITH INSURANCE, NO TRANSFERS IS $3791.00. If you minus my insurance cost of $316 it means DU is $260 cheaper than allseason travel. Good luck to everyone and remember to compare apples to apples!

I am thinking that the quote I got from AllSeasons, for our 4 nite, was exactly the same as everyone else. I don't think it is easy to find savings on the 4 nites! Did get the DU rebate though!!! :D

I think the sailing dates that you want can make the difference. I know that are a very few times where agencies like AllSeas and AAA will offer a 'promotion' type thing. I recieve the e-letter from AllSeas, and, from memory, I am thinking that the folks here may have stumbled onto one of these sailings? Hhhhmmm???

Hi My3Kids - I think my comments may be misleading, especially if you thought I wanted folks to write to DU to negotiate the price. That was not my attention. All that I ask is that you if receive an additional quote after you receive one from DU to please allow us to review our quote with you. Sometimes we may not be comparing apples-to-apples and the price difference could be for that reason.

If the quotes do come out to be very different, it is difficult for Dreams to make up the difference as it means cutting into commission and the money the agents would make. Everyone at DU works very hard and it is important that everyone gets compensated fairly.

Please keep in mind, Dreams does not receive any money for providing a quote, only after you have completed your cruise, therefore our agents do not receive any money for providing a quote. This is why I only ask that you allow us to see why there may be a price difference if you received a second quote somewhere else.

I hope this helps to clear up any misunderstanding.

Thanks
John

Hi benebire- My ressie from both was for 2 adults and 2 children under 12 @ both TA's- no transfers and no other insurances. My quote from AllSeasons is 3575.00 with all taxes and port charges included, DreamsUnlimited was 4335.08- a 150.00 disc. for a total of 4185.08, 610.00 more then AllSeasons for the same cruise- 7 day Western cat. 6 room, departing 1/17/04

Hmm, sounds like you are comparing apples to apples so dont know why the big variance. It sure is odd. Maybe some others will comment. They were higher than DU for my date and lower for yours, really strange. In any case, you will have a blast! This will be our 3rd cruise and time cant pass fast enough for me.

There may not be a savings from your rate if you booked from DU months ago. However, if you check the price for a March, 2004 cruise from DU booked today as compared with the exact same cruise booked with All Seasons today, then there will be a significant savings with AS. That may be where you don't see a savings when you are comparing.

I just got off the phone with All Seasons Travel and they quoted me, for me, my friend, a 14 year old and a 4 year old with Disney insurance 4335....right now I am booked with Dreams Unlimited for 4686...that is with the 150.00 rebate from dreams..that is a 351.00 difference if I go with All Seasons ...something I have to think about now....

Reservations can be transferred from DCL to the TA of your choice BUT it is common courtesy practive of TA's NOT to accept transfer from one TA to another. That's why it is important to do our homework and shopping around BEFORE transferring your booking to a TA (or booking directly with a TA of your choice)

Sam's Club saved us $245 on the 7 night for 2 adults and 2 kids (9) in a Cat. 10. Think I might book it

Well I e-mailed DreamsUnlimited today to try and find out why the huge difference in price. I was surprised that I got no reponse. They were always quick to respond to my questions before, so I waited for some reply. When I checked back later in the day and saw no reponse, I e-mailed again and waited for a reply. It never came. Maybe an 800# would be helpful here. I did end up booking with AllSeasons for my cruise at a savings of 610.00 over DU. Dreams had a courtesy hold on room 6108 for me and I liked the location, AllSeasons got me room 6106 instead.

Hi Sandra,
Who did you send your question to? I look after the reservations account and just did a search and haven't received an e-mail from you.
I even answer the tough questions. ;) If I don't know the answer, I ask Michelle! :p

Are there some hidden prices with all season that is not showing up ? I checked their website and saw a price difference of about $600 also , but I really like Dreams and don't want to book with someone else and than end up paying the same amount ( with fees added on ) when I could have gotten the customer service of Dreams. We will be making reservations in June and I am checking out different agencies now looking for the best deal . There are five of us and my college kids are working this summer to go . $900 a person is a lot of money for a student . Heck $900 is a lot for my husband and I on one income !

We have Cat 6 Reservations for Eastern 7 day departing Nov 29, 2003 with DU.. We are paying $2667 for two adults. No insurance no air. Allseasons is $2783. Still a mystery!

nicki dahling, there are no hidden prices with either agency, both include port taxes and fees. Pricing between now and June very well may change based on sailing date and availability, so depending on what date you want to book for you may see some rate changes (especially increases). My advice would be to check rates a little closer to the time you are ready to book for a more accurate picture of what you will have to pay. The difference may not be as significant then, or may even shift the other way. Just my .02! :)

Hello Cathy- I received your e-mail and my last e-mail to Tammy is not there. Is there an 800 # to call when a situation arises like mine that seems to be some missed e-mail? Each time I e-mailed Tammy in the past, she responded immediately. It did seem to me that she didn't respond to my question of the price difference because she was not going to get my booking. If she didn't receive my last e-mail then I assumed wrongly. Your company's service seems fantastic from all the posts I've read and I hope to one day use their services, Would you know of any reason that DU is priced so much higher for early bookings?
Sandra

Hello all -

being a 'single income' family of five...entertainment $$$ are getting harder (& harder) to budget. It is understood that 'money saved' is a good thing. Hopefully, consideration to 'value received for service' will compensate a small price difference.

Our first WDW/DCL trip was a planning nightmare...we used (our friends TA) a local Travel Company that knew very little about Disney World - nothing about DCL. I frankly question if this TA could find Orlando on a map. Every question we had - was...I'll make a few calls and 'get back to you'...we rarely got a return call.

Our Second/Third (God willing, Forth - Fifth...and, so on) has been wonderfully handled by DU. I want to 'publicly' say thanks to Carole (our DU TA) for her expert advise and timely responses. I must admit...I was an 'incredible pest'...numerous questions and changes. We were very pleased with her support and will continue to ask for her.
I can assure you...we checked pricing from other sources and differences were minimal - . When we called DCL reservations/Castaway Club line or held conversations with Cast Members at port...any mention of DU/Carole was accepted with a 'high level of respect'. It was obvious Disney and Dreams have a wonderful working relationship.

If you are still reading....hopefully you will agree that 'level of service', expertise and presence should be considered when making any purchase - vacations included...you always end up...'getting what you paid for'.

I wonder...hopefully someone can educate me. Do some agencies make large reservations during 'early booking', when price is at it's lowest....hold the rooms till Disney increases price...then, offer discounts that others cannot compete with?

Kevin
