I just tried to add another night, and was told all the Disney hotels are sold out. So bummed, we really wanted another night. So if anyone is canceling a room at the GCH for that Friday, please let me know. So if anyone is planning on going to the party that night, you might want to get your tickets, just a thought, not sure if it would have an effect, but it might.

Do you think it's worthwhile if I call everyday and see if they get a cancellation?

Thanks!!

Yes, call every day and even ask when you check in and then every day during your stay. The worst that can happen is you'll still get told they're sold out.

This happened to me in June, I wanted to extend for the 8th of October and they told me to keep Calling back because all rooms in my room rate were booked. All gloom and doom, until I got this one CM who said they hold a couple of rooms just in case something happens in another room. Anyways he asked his supervisor to release one of the rooms. Just to think I almost hung up because the wait was long. Good luck.

I wish I had that Disney feeling at work.

Keep the faith, tour companies might release unused hotel blocks closer to the date as well! Definitely keep trying.

Ok I understand being bummed, and I would be too, but how cool is it to see all the demand/business/interest/whatever you want to call it for gay days? Kinda awesome I think! :)

I honestly think the demand has very little to do with the cause. It has a lot more to do with the convention opening up rooms at its rate to the general public. I think a lot of people got wind of this and moved their trips to those dates (or onsite) because they could book under the gay days rates. If the rates weren't so good (for both rooms and tickets - heck they had 6-day hoppers for $190, I believe), I doubt that many people would have gone out of their way to book during that timeframe or under those rates.
