All of your tips were great...short trip report

Thank you to everyone who gave me such great advice on Genie plus etc...our trip Dec4-8th was so much fun! I love Genie Plus! We got to ride ALMOST everything we wanted...yes I am looking at you Indiana Jones! It was down the whole time we were there! The lights, decorations were so wonderful and the cast members were great! Only a couple things were not so great- the 10 o'clock World of Color dessert party was so magical, but just too late for us to eat the desserts. And it was downright chilly! We also did the Plaza Inn parade package- food was good but they stressed to us not to be at the reserved area until 6. Hah! There wasn't very much room left at 5:50! A very nice gentleman let me sit next to him and we rotated sitting. The parade was very cool so much to see! The alien macaron at Pizza planet was so good, wish I had brought one back! Oh and the mini food festival going on at DCA had the BEST macaroni and cheese...it was the Kugel Mac and cheese so creamy even the little one was hooked.

I wish we had thought to go into the Grand Californian to see the decorations, same with the Disneyland Hotel, but there is always next time.

And for anyone traveling to Disneyland from Orange County airport (SNA), I have contact info for the best cab driver I have met. 55.00 set price, very polite, respectful doesn't chat too much unless you want to, very good driver.

You are right about the mac & cheese. A couple of years ago, I got that with my mother, and she wanted to go back for more! They really have some good stuff at the DCA food booths.

The plaza inn package screams of squeezing out every last dollar from guests. I just didn't see the value to it. Maybe if it guaranteed chairs which doesn't seem like the craziest request?

We stood in line for the parade and a large man was standing in front. I asked him if I bought his kid a balloon if my kid could sit in front of his feet. He laughed and made room for my 6 year old who got an amazing view. Disney magic + a few churros > "package deal"

Would you do it again next trip?

No I wouldn't do it. There must have been another package where folks had reserved seats by Walts statue area...I would eat at the Plaza Inn but not spend the money for the parade package unless seats were better

We couldn't get an answer from anyone, but that would definitely have been the place to sit!
