All of my Disneyland Paris photos!

Okay, I've gotten through like the first 4 pictures... and WOW!!!!!!!! I need to go read your trip report RIGHT NOW! Your pictures are AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :worship:

Thanks for the kind words, everyone!

Avoiding the crowds is a matter of patience, late nights, and long exposures that won't show people (as long as someone keeps moving through the scene, they won't be visible in a 30 second exposure).

Thanks for that, looks as if I might have to read the instruction manual for my camera at last! :rotfl:

In the meantime I'll just enjoy your photos. :thumbsup2

I posted some of my Disneyland Paris photos a while back and some of you seemed to like them. Well, I'm finally done editing them all, and I've uploading the best to my Smugmug page.

My trip report has 3 times as many photos in it, but these are the best ones!

What camera & settings do/did you use?
I can't seem to get any good ones at DLP once it gets dull or dark.

*My images come out noisy, but I'm only using a D40.

Great photos Tom - I've shared a few on Twitter previously as I've been so blown away with how good they are.

Looking at the EXIF info it looks like Tom uses a Nikon D600.

For great night time shots you really need to be using a DSLR, CSC or very high end compact like the Sony RX100, but that won't compete with a DSLR.

You can check out the EXIF data for settings on each photo by clicking the "I" on the photo page. I change my settings for each photo based on the scene.

Thanks! I do use a D600, along with a D700, and Infrared converted D70. My wife uses the Sony RX-100, which is really an amazing camera.

There's no denying that nice gear is important, but MUCH more important is knowing how to use it. I've seen awful photos taken with a D600 (and above!), and I've seen amazing stuff taken with cell phones. I used to use a Nikon D40, and I have photos in my Magic Kingdom and Epcot galleries taken with the D40 that the average person couldn't distinguish from a shot with the D600.

Absolutely stunning shots! I am looking for a new camera, I'm only an amateur but do love taking my time to get a great shot. I was thinking of a Nikon D3100. I know it's a bit of an older camera but it still seems to get pretty good reviews. This will be our first time in DLRP so am hoping to come back with some awesome shots.

I do so love your photos! Makes me want to learn how to use my camera properly before our next trip! (Or maybe I will have a trip report that links to your photos!)
