I was surprised this afternoon when, in the produce section of our local grocery store, I spotted this little lost hummingbird :

Was it okay? It's very rare that you can get a pic of a hummingbird sitting still like that.

I think he was "weighing his options"! I've seen them sit too but never that long. I took 2 pictures with my regular camera...taking time to zoom in/out to get a good clear shot and a picture with my phone. I sent phone picture to DD and when I looked up from the phone he was gone. He honestly looked like he was thinking, "What have I gotten myself into and how do I get out of here"!

You must have some pretty relaxed hummingbirds where you live. The ones I see here in KY are very active/skittish, never wanting to stay still.
