Code, GREAT shot! The impressive pyro usually does an impressive job of blowing out ones photos.

Alan - I'll answer your question about the focus soon - I have to look it up in the book for the technical terminology... and thanks for putting your name in your signature so I don't keep thinking your name is Berni sorry that had nothing to do with the quote above but I'm being lazy.

The Sigma is slightly faster- 1.4 vs 1.8- but you can also hand hold shots at a slower shutter speed at 30mm than you can at 50mm. Using the old rule of thumb that you should keep the shutter faster than the focal length- you can shoot at 1/30th Sec in lieu of 1/50th Sec. And with the crop factor on must DSLR's the range is what was once termed 'normal'.

Aside from all that- to me there is just something magic about that lens. I have only had it for a few weeks but have yet to put it on the camera that I have not have a few jaw dropping shots result- including the Baptism I shot today.

Wow, Jeff- I never even considered that aspect of the lens, but it makes perfect sense. Thanks so much for your insight, and of course the great pictures you have posted using it!

Stars and Motorcars was widely panned as being a horrible parade. Disney has received a ton of feedback that it was just bad.

They are bringing over the Block Party Bash that they have at California Adventure. I'm not sure what prompted the change. I will miss the parade, I loved seeing Star Wars characters without having to fight the Star Wars weekends crowds.

My DH loves the Mezzo Mix from Germany (Pepsi with orange flavoring), and yes I did trick him into tasting the Beverly

Funny story: our first time in there a couple of years ago, right after they first opened it and they had a lot of staff milling around encouraging everyone to try everything, we just had to try ALL of the flavors- several times! Well, about 20 mins. later we all got just a bit (not) nauseus...

Suffice it to say we never made that mistake again!

Oh my!! That's usually what happens to me! I usually get drenched on this ride. You should submit this to the ride photo contest on the photography board. I know you frequent that board too. Although it may be too late to do that since voting is now going on. Anyways, great shot as usual!

This is one of those rides that you either love it or hate it. My DW and I LOVE it. The usually non-existent wait lines may have something to do with it though.
