All my reservations are now done for 2006

First of all, thanks everyone very very much who gave advice on resorts and dates. It was really helpful and in the end saved me a whole lot of $$$.

Here is what I ended up doing:

Feb 11-21, 06 AKL-Standard

Dec 1-6, 06 WL-Standard
Dec 6-11, 06 Poly-Gardenview Concierge (merry x-mas to me )

I decided that since I couldn't make up my mind on which one to stay at, I would stay at both. The CM who was great and really got me the best rate possible, only had gardenview concierge available with or without my AAA discount. She said that both WL and Poly were going really quick already and that I did the right thing by booking what I wanted now.

Between these two reservations and using BRP and my AAA discount, I was able to save $1321.30.

Oh that sounds great. I am sure you will love your resort choices. May I ask if you usually stay offsite, where you stay? We are looking for an Orlando area hotel to stay in for 1 night.

Thanks and I'm sure I will have a great time. What I couldn't believe is that resorts are already filling up for Dec 2006 so it's a good think I booked for that time when I did. If I had waited I probably wouldn't have gotten a AAA discount at either WL or Poly.


Wish I could help, but my only time offsite was 2001 and lets just say I will never stay offsite again.

Exactly. Now that I think about it, I guess it's good that I booked WL first and Poly second. Nothing like going from concierge service to no concierge service.

Other room selections are available on the WDW site for your dates at the Poly. I do not know if you booked AAA for those dates but rack rates for a gardenview room is 1756.15, add 529.60 for a lagoonview room. This is for 5 nights including tax

Thanks and yes I did book with a AAA discount. I looked at those and decided that this is my best chance to try concierge at a WDW resort.

For your birthday celebration, I could be talked into staying one more day for that. I mean what a shame it would be if I had to stay an extra day or so at WDW to help celebrate your birthday , especially since that would mean more days staying at Poly Gardenview Concierge.
