I'm sorry, Sherry! I read about Cameron getting engaged a couple of weeks ago but didn't post it over here because I didn't want to upset you!

The story I posted on Cady turning down the ATWT job included a link to another article that contradicted it. I wish they would put dates on some of these stories because when they make references to "last week" we don't know when they're talking about. Personally I hope she does take the job! The more unavailable she is the better as far as I'm concerned!

Report: McClain To Join ATWT Cast

It will be a reunion of sorts for All My Children's Dixie Martin and Leslie Coulson - but it won't take place in Pine Valley. Cady McClain (Dixie Martin) is joining the cast of As The World Turns.

A setside source told Soap Opera Central last week that McClain would join the CBS soap in the recurring role of Rosanna Cabot. The role had previously been played off-and-on by Yvonne Perry from 1992 through 1999.

Colleen Dion, McClain's on-screen nemesis at AMC, joined the cast of As The World Turns late last year as Dahlia Ventura.

McClain's new role on ATWT could shock AMC viewers who are used to seeing McClain as the sugary Dixie. Rosanna is described as a "bad girl," very much the opposite of McClain's AMC character.

McClain had her last regularly scheduled appearance as a contract performer on All My Children on February 26th. In departing, McClain stated that she would love to return to AMC on a recurring basis. The show's executives apparently honored McClain's request and wrote off the character in such a way that McClain's eventual return could easily be facilitated.

An ATWT spokesperson confirmed that McClain started taping her scenes for ATWT earlier this month. She is expected to make on-screen debut in early-to-mid-April.

In the mean time.....where was Ruth at Joe's retirement party? And why is Jake talking about "....since my father retired....." when he just retired THE NIGHT BEFORE??!!

And why is Mia conducting physical therapy sessions when she has no experience, is not licensed or trained, and just accepted the "job" (I thought it was a training opportunity, not an actual JOB, yet!) EARLIER THAT DAY??!!

Lots of weird stuff happening in PV! The biggest mystery of all is.....what the heck is going on with Liza??

I loved the conversation that Leo had with Greenlee at the end of yesterday's episode - I thought that that was great!

Who is the woman to whom Cameron is engaged? Wasn't he dating an actress who used to be on "Spin City"? Or is this a more recent girlfriend?

Here's the scoop on Cameron Mathison's engagement from Soaps in Depth:

Proving that his personal love life is a good deal more satisfying than that of ALL MY CHILDREN's Ryan, Cameron Mathison recently got engaged to girlfriend Vanessa Arevalo. "I proposed to her over the holidays, on top of a [Vail, CO] ski mountain with a spectacular view of the whole world," the actor reports. "Vanessa is a great, great person. I'm a lucky guy!"

I don't know the name but that don't mean diddly. I would think if she was an actress it would have been mentioned.

Hey, Aprille, stay away!! Jack Scalia is all mine! I hope my VCR taped it okay. I hold my breath daily because it sometimes does this weird thing and doesn't tape well.

On another note, I was really planning on going to Super Soap Weekend in April since I live in California and flights are cheap. However, I can't really make it that weekend. I probably wouldn't have had the nerve to even approach anyone for an autograph anyways!

LOL! Yeah, my DH isn't in my Mel Gibson fantasies either! Now with Poohbear staking a claim too all I can tell you is that you better come to our SSW/DIS meet at WDW in November to protect your interests. I can't say what might happen if Poohbear and I actually meet Jack Scalia. hehehehe. Did your VCR tape yesterday's episode?

Here's my favorite part of the latest rant:

To get back to Dixie’s leaving, when the subject first came up, Cady McClain was going off-contract and supposedly was to be available to come back time to time. Don’t expect that to happen any time soon. Cady has signed a contract with "As The World Turns." I doubt that Dixie is a character that AMC would re-cast, so I wouldn’t be expecting the 32nd Tad and Dixie reunion any time soon.

Woohoo! Sure hope he's right about this one! I see he also agrees with my Liza has a brain tumor theory. LOL!

As for Liza, has she suddenly become ill with Soap-Opera-Brain-Tumor Syndrome? Or has she just lost it because she realized that it actually IS crazy to marry Adam Chandler three times? Or is it another case of AMC taking a strong female character and just turning her into a complete loon? We’ll be finding out soon. Regardless, I am glad to have Liza back in a storyline. Let’s just hope it’s a believable one.

Thanks for the story about Ryan's engagement, Aprille! (I'm sorry, Sherry. ) And thanks for the picture, Pam - she looks very exotic! That's not the actress from "Spin City".....I guess he's been dating a model for awhile.

OH MY - I'm glad that I'm not in on this tug-of-war over Jack Scalia.........and I'm glad that no one is "competing with me" for Tad!

Speaking of Tad, it looks like he is going to be on, today, threatening David about Ditsie's whereabouts and his involvement with her, for a change. Gag me. I wish that they would drop that storyline, now that Ditsie is gone, and get Tad someone new to be with - someone exciting (ie: I hope that they don't decide to put him with Mia or Simone, now!) - like it was when he was with Liza or Gloria (in the beginning).

How did Chris get upstairs to put away his belongings in his room in Myrtle's house? Does Myrtle's house now have an elevator? Or did Ryan carry him?

That was some scene with Vanessa in the hospital, yesterday! She is amazing! I wonder if she really IS crazy and hearing "Proteus's" voice in her head......or whether Mateo put some sort of speaker in her room when he was there and is "broadcasting" the voice into her room to make her think she's crazy??!! That was pretty freaky when she was hugging Jamie and wouldn't let go. I guess her saying "my long lost son!" is the prelude to our eventually finding out that her lawyer is going to turn out to be her long lost son with Roger!
