Maciec and Brandie - a brief synopsis:
- 2 years ago, JR left the show to go "find himself" on a "tramp steamer" (whatever that is) in California.
- He came back married to Babe. He appeared to really love her. Adam was furious and never thought Babe was good enough for JR.
-On Babe's first night in PV, she was "so nervous / intimidated" about meeting JR's "rich, powerful" family, that she went to a beach party. At that party, she met Jamie, and not knowing his relationship to JR, spent the night with him. Jamie immediately fell in love with her, then was mortified when he found out that she was JR's wife.
- Babe got pregnant (but for a long time wasn't sure whether the baby was Jamie's or JR's). The Chandlers were thrilled and started trying to accept her.
- Everything was happy until JR found out that Babe had slept with Jamie........and that she was still legally married to Paul Kramer from Llanview. Apparently, after a drunken night of partying, she and Paul had gotten married on a lark, in California. She was too lazy to file the annullment papers, so they were still legally married (but had no relationship with each other and hated each other).
- JR decided to "keep Babe around", even though he despised her for lying to him, at that point. He and Adam plotted to get the baby away from her as soon as he or she was born, but for JR to keep pretending that he loved Babe until the baby was born. In the mean time, Jamie was still pining away for her.
- Then the whole thing with Paul Kramer, the "helicopter crash", and the baby switch happened, which I'm sure you both know about.........
- JR kept pretending that he loved Babe while living with her and Bess (Miranda) but secretly plotted with Adam different ways to get rid of Babe and Krystal and keep Bess all to themselves. He insisted that Babe was a "lying slut" and had to "get what she deserved".
- Then Babe found out that Bess was really Miranda........and opted not to tell Bianca about that and keep pretending that Bess was her own daughter, since she knew that JR's heart would be broken if he found out and had to give up his child.
(THAT'S why everyone keeps saying that Babe is a "bad person" - because she kept Bianca's baby from her for so long, after finding out that Bess was really Miranda. Now they are compounding that by saying she's "bad" for not letting JR know that his son was alive, after she found out.)
- Babe started to suspect that JR was evil and was plotting against her, so she and Bianca set up a "trap" for him. He fell for it and revealed himself to be the jerk that he really is, and admitted out loud that he hates Babe and just stayed with her for Bess's sake. Around that time, Babe happend into Llanview and saw Ace Buchanan for the first time.......and eventually realized that he was really the baby that she thought she had lost in the "helicopter crash".
- Jamie sort of declared his love for Babe and helped her plot to kidnap Ace ("James" / "Adam Chandler III") and run away.
- They want to take the baby away from Babe because:
A) Kevin Buchanan insists that he is HIS son (even though he knows that he isn't!)
B) JR is a "true Chandler" and wants his son all to himself. He wants to take James / Adam III away from Babe the same way that he'd originally been plotting to get Bess all to himself.......because that's what Chandler men "do", according to JR and Adam. He tried to have Babe declared an unfit mother to Bess and will probably try to do the same with James / Adam III. That's also why Jamie, Tad, and Bianca didn't tell JR that his son was alive - because they knew that he would try to take him away from Babe the same way that he had plotted to take Bess away, and they didn't feel that HE was a fit parent to raise a child.
And that's where we are, today! I hope that that makes things a little clearer for you!
What else can I say? Jonathan is beyond creepy and I REALLY hope that Maggie comes to her senses and sees what's really going on in their relationship before it's too late! I hope that Bianca is somehow able to get through to her!
Aidan and Kendall were cute together, yesterday - it reminds us of what good chemistry they had when they used to do a lot of scenes together! I am happy that she is with Ethan now, though! And that "suit" was something else! Very appropriate for a corporate executive, don't you all think?
I wonder what it will take for Ryan to begin to realize that Greenlee was right about Jonathan........maybe Bianca will finally spill to Ryan about what he's been doing to Maggie and ask for his help - then maybe the 2 of them will walk in on Jonathan when he's just about to do something really bad to Maggie (like hold a knife in front of her, again), and that will convince him........
I also think that they are taking some time to compile a fitting tribute to Ruth Warrick - I'm sure that it takes awhile to put something like that together. Or if they're going to work it into a storyline, they would need some time to set it up, like Brooke telling people that Phoebe hasn't been well, etc. I'm sure that they will do something beautiful for her and that we'll need boxes of tissues to watch it!
