Can someone fill me in on the Erica/Jeff Martin storyline that led to her being pregnant and getting an abortion? Where is he now?

So Josh is younger than Kendall (Erica's teenage baby/rape), but older than Bianca (Erica's only child with a husband). That should make Kendall about 37, Josh about 34 and Bianca about 20.

Where is Jeff Martin in all of this? Does he get to come on the show now?

If I remember it all correctly, Jeff was Erica's first husband around 1970, maybe? He wanted kids, Erica didn't so she got an abortion. Or so we thought.

I loved Jeff Martin way back then and thought Erica was SO mean and didn't deserve him! ( I was about 12 at the time)
On Friday when Tad said he hadn't gotten Jeff's DNA test back yet, I was hoping Jeff would show up. I know that actor has done some other shows, I just can't think of them. Does anyone remember?

SPOILERS FOR THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 13TH


The Mardi Gras ball is shrouded in a deafening silence after the terrible explosion.

Tad is the first to awaken and soon finds Julia who is alive but scared that another explosion will occur.

Brooke, Aidan and Erin join Julia and Tad in searching for survivors.

JR and Tad rescue Amanda and Jamie, while Babe and Dixie remain trapped in their separate confines amongst the wreckage.

Dixie fears that Tad will find her as she hears him draw nearer to her.

During the chaos, Di and Dixie come face to face.

An unlikely hero rescues Babe.

Josh desperately scrambles to explain himself to Erica.

Erica wrestles with telling Josh that she is his biological mother, believing that he should be told the truth.

Dixie is stunned when she sees Tad and Di kissing.

Kendall creates problems for Babe and JR.

Jonathan and Lily defend their feelings for one another to a less then thrilled Jack and Ryan.

Kendall tells Ryan to stay out of her life forever.

Ryan and Kendall find they are trapped together after the explosion.

Kendall and Ryan's argument is stopped short when Kendall feels the baby move.

Ryan and Kendall bond over the baby, with Kendall admitting that what Zach did changes everything.

Ryan comforts Kendall as she begins to cry over what happened with Zach.

Ryan promises Kendall she won't have to face anything alone ever again.

Ethan refuses Zach's help and is seriously injured by fallen debris.

As Ethan lay dying, Zach tries to make peace with his son one last time.

Erica refuses Josh's help when they find themselves trapped together.

Jack is injured as he attempts to rescue Jonathan and Lily.

Jonathan proposes to Lily.

Dixie overhears David tell Palmer he will save his life, only if he promises to have David's medical license reinstated.

Julia continues in her relationship with David, but falls for Ryan.

A Pine Valley resident decides it's time to pull up stakes and leave town.

Babe fights for her life with only Amanda there to save her.

This whole Josh thing is over the limit of good taste.
1)I guess he did life support on the embryo/baby...hmm did he staple the placenta into place??? Sorry, as an OB nurse this is just way too creepy.

2) once again we have the nobody is the right age thing going. Though it sorta fills most people's dreams...you want to skip the awkward years, the zits and puberty and all...heck, lets be 18. No wait, the new woman is 22....swhooooosh now it's 24. The 30s last 25 years. Wise, yet not aging...I like that.

I thought Josh knew he was the walking embryo. He looked at his dad's file on himself and saw something he didn't like. Then, he started trying to sabotage Erica. Wasn't that one of our hints early on? Yea, he probably wanted to sabotage Erica anyway, just for his own career aspirations, but what did he read in his file, then?

Okay...maybe it's just me and living in New York...but that whole scene where they pan the ball room...with the bodies. I just thought that being that this soap is filmed in the city they would be a bit more sensitive to the events of 9-ll. It seemed totally inappropriate and I thought of the Trade Center and what happened downtown immediately. I don't think I could be the only one whose mind went in that direction. I knew they were going to have an explosion...only I don't know it just gave me the willies. I certainly hope they move past this quickly. The reality of an explosion of the magnitude portrayed...well they wouldn't be a bunch of dusty people with smut on their faces.

I agree with you all, this embryo/Josh thing is the WORST storyline ever and I think the most unbelievable of all storylines. Now if it were David that did the abortion.....seeing he is Doctor Miracle then MAYBE. LOL.

Maybe Erica went in for a simple procedure that required her to be put under and Doctor Madden stole an Egg. Something. But no, this disgusting storyline appears to be coming to fruition. Blech..

Did anyone else feel that having this Mardi Gras ending in an explosion was in poor taste as well? There was this whole tie in with the American Red Cross at the beginning of the ball. Susan Lucci asking people to donate to Red Cross for disaster relief, and then this ball ended in a disaster as well. I mean I realize this is all fiction and if AMC can help the American Red Cross get some donations, great. I just think there is something wrong with a charity ball ending in a disaster when it has a tie in with a true charity that aids in disasters. Just my .02.

I agree with that! I missed the show today, NO I wasn't sleeping, my DS Patrick came in on Friday from Afghanistan, and now he has the flu! Poor guy, he was at the Dr. at that time, so I missed the big BOOM!

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one who felt the entire explosion was pretty distasteful...I also agree about having the Red Cross involved..and then have it end in an explosion. Are these writers NUTS...what the heck are they thinking. There are people in various parts of this country who have been living these types of hell..whether it's 9-ll or the hurricannes that have plagued the south in recent years. I'm surprised the Red Cross was on board with it. Blowing the place up...real nice. About as much sensitivity shown there as there is with the walking fetus storyline...gross.

I agree with all of you who thought the scenes from the end of today's episode were inappropriate. It just seemed too much given 9/11.

On a completely other topic, how come all of us viewers know Dixie is at the Ball but no one else has noticed her-well except Simone who tried to talk to her today. Also why would Dixie choose the Ball to go to so she could see everyone in PV? Why not go to a more discreet place like the Chandler mansion tunnels, PV Hospital, or the Park or BoatHouse

I also agree with you all, the walking fetus storyline has really got to be the most stretched storyline in the history of PV. I really am at a loss for words which is pretty miraculous.

I had a meeting yesterday and missed the show. All the story lines are really so far fetched they just make me .
