I had a feeling that the "big mystery" about where Ryan goes at night would wind up being something like the fight club. Maybe they will later go into his psychological need to "beat himself up" because he feels so guilty that Braden and Jonathan got beaten more than he did, as children, and they both died but he couldn't save them.........so getting beaten to a pulp now, is his way of "repenting".......or something........WHO CARES??!! I almost laughed out loud during his annoying black and white dream sequence, the other day, when Greenlee and Jonathan kept alternately saying "You said you loved me, Ryan......." It was like some bad sci-fi movie, or something!

Loved Krystal figuring out the Di / Dixie connection! Maybe she will blow the plan sky high and they will somehow release her from jail for her honesty! I miss seeing her around PV, too!

That Amanda is too much - does anyone think she's for real??? She is such a caricature - there is nothing remotely realistic or genuine (not to mention sympathetic) about her character's actions or behaviors. If Aidan falls for her, I will lose all respect for him!

The best storylines of the past 2 days were Jack's and Reggie's "heart to heart" conversations with Sam and Lily (and then Sam and Lily's going on their date) - those scenes were adorable! And also Simone's date with Ethan - I loved her standing up for herself and showing some respect for herself by telling Ethan that she couldn't "play games" any longer, and his showing that he really cares for her, too! (I also loved how Tad was all protective of her, when he found out that she was going out with Ethan - that was sweet). And I'm so glad to see them showing that Ethan is not just using her because she is the town "ditz" / "good time girl" - even though she acts flaky / funny now, if you recall, when she first came on the show (to help Mateo with his part of the Proteus plan, I think) she was very sharp and smart. So it's good that they're showing that even though she can be funny and a bit man-crazy, she is still intelligent and has self-respect. It would be nice to see her have real love in her life (instead of just a self-proclaimed "fling", as with Tad) - I love her character! And she's certainly more fun to watch than Greenlee, lately! The only nice thing I can say about the Greenlee / Ryan storyline is that I like how Kendall's and Greenlee's friendship and trust is developing, as Kendall supports Greenlee through her difficult time.

And the one good thing that I can say about the Di(xie) storyline is that I thought that JR's line about ".....when I die, it won't be from a car accident. It won't be having a heart attack on a tennis court. It will be from lies........" was delivered beautifully, and it was the first time that he's displayed true vulnerability, humanity in a long time!

Everyone (especially David) keeps referring to the "miracle" of Dixie's "coming back from the dead"...........but it's not as though the town of PV has never seen such a "miracle".........it wasn't all that long ago that Maria's return was the same such "miracle".......and of course, David had his hand in THAT return, too!

I also loved that Krystal was the one to figure out the Di/Dixie thing. It was a stroke of intelligence on the part of the writers to have her be the one - it actually makes the most sense. And lately - there's been alot of stupid writing - hooray - maybe someone's off the sauce finally!

Amanda is starting to be over-the-top. I like having someone to genuinely hate, but if she becomes the new PV Private Eye with Aiden and Tad, I'm gonna be sick. But I think that's where things are heading. She'll become the official "decoy" in the PI firm.

JR did show some humanity. That was nice to see. But I can hardly wait to see what he turns into when he finds out the truth. He'll make Adam look like Mother Teresa.

Di Takes Charge
Di tries to make peace between Babe and JR, and tells them how disappointed she is when she fails at her attempt to unite them. Di puts JR to the test, asking him if he's even willing to try and fix his family. Ruth, Joe, Palmer and Opal arrive at the Chandler Mansion to see Dixie. Though they are skeptical, Di forces everyone to face the facts about who she really is. Later, she tries to convince JR not to make the same mistakes she and Adam made. Making his best effort, JR invites everyone, including Jamie and Babe, to a 4th of July picnic. Adam shows displeasure with JR's plans for the future. Stuart, meanwhile, questions Adam about Di. Di pays a visit to David, telling him that from here on out, she's doing things *her* way--then she goes to see Krystal.

Simone And Ethan's Romance Blossoms
Simone and Ethan have a meeting of the minds. While lying for Greenlee, Simone puts her foot in her mouth in front of Ethan. Despite that, Ethan and Simone grow closer.

Greenlee, Kendall and Simone are horrified as they watch Ryan fighting.
Jack is angry with Sam when he brings Lily home late.

Zach advises Kendall on how she can best help Greenlee.

Erica calms Jack down over his angst regarding Lily dating.

David does his best to convince Krystal to keep quiet about Di and who she really is.

Greenlee refuses to give up on her plan to have Ryan's child.

Maria is overwhelmed with emotion as she and Maddie prepare to leave town.

Kendall keeps Greenlee's secret from Ryan.

Ethan and Simone find themselves growing closer to one another.

David refuses to help Greenlee believing it can only bring her pain to have a baby with Ryan.

Tad tells Krystal that he and Dixie have no future together.

Krystal spills everything to Babe about Di and who she really is.

I'm pretty sure it was Greenlee's father Roger who Simone had fallen in love with. If I remember correctly he had fallen for her too. That's kinda of ewww factor.

That was a very nice montage of Maria and Edmund scenes, today. Too bad that it's difficult to remember when they were so happy. I still maintain - WHO WILL LIVE IN WILDWIND, NOW?!!! Will Julia live there, by herself, when she returns?? Or will they do away with the set - uh, I mean mansion - all together??!!

I did like the way that Maria said "goodbye" to Zach - sometimes a look says more than words could say!

Greenlee and Ryan are painful (LITERALLY!) to watch.

Nice fantasies by Krystal, today. I hope that they will start showing her more - something tells me that she will somehow be getting out of prison, soon.

It was nice to see Myrtle, today! It was great that she could help Zach get perspective on his feelings - I hope that we continue to see her more often!

I saw some of today's episode, and I'm sorry but I just want to smack Greenlee. I don't like seeing her so desperate. But I did like Kendall trying to get through to her but she looked so skinny in that dress it was a bit distracting. I'm becoming a huge Simone fan.

It was nice. It's really sad that they ruined the Maria/Edmund couple. I really don't think it was necessary to turn his character into such an awful person. They could have had him die off but still be in love with Maria. I just don't get why they did that. My DD said the same thing. I also wish that Maria (Eva LaRue) would have stayed so she could have had a storyline with Zach.

Funniest thing said during AMC yesterday was at my house: DD15 (almost 16) sees Maddie & says, "When did she grow b**bs & start wearing make-up. Last time I saw her she was a little kid."

I told her she "grew" b**bs & started wearing make-up about the same time you, Maddie just did it a little quicker!!!

Zach resists kissing Kendall but asks her to join him at the park for the fourth of July celebration. Greenlee and Ryan bump into Kendall and Zach at the boathouse, where Greenlee's secret comes dangerously close to being exposed. Kendall gets a peak at Zach's kinder, gentler side when he offers her some words of advice as to how she can help Greenlee. Tad tells everyone how he asked Krystal to marry him. Tad is delighted when J.R. asks him to be Godfather to little Adam when he is christened, Babe shows Adam that she's got a backbone by refusing to tell him what dirt she has on Di until he gets Krystal out of prison. Krystal stands firm with Adam and refuses reveal anything she happens to know about Di. Adam tries to frighten the information out of her by saying that Tad will end up with Di unless they expose Di as the fraud she is. Babe steps in and prevents Krystal from saying too much. Krystal tells Adam everything he wants to know about Di and he follows through on the promise he made her. Tad, J.R.,Jamie and Di hold a memorial service for the baby daughter that Dixie lost years earlier. Adam walks in during the middle of the service with Babe and Krystal!

Happy 4th of July Weekend, Everyone!

That's so neat that Babe and Jamie already got married! Will have to look out for that magazine!

I also can't wait for the picnic, next week! I have visions of Krystal showing up there, after Adam springs her from jail, and everything coming to a big showdown with the "pro-Dixie's" and the "anti-Dixie's". It would be wild if - in the midst of the confusion - Cady McClain showed up! Then everyone would faint except David (since nothing ever surprises David)!

David must really have some magical powers - he can make a potion for any occasion! How is he earning a living, these days? Since his medical license was revoked, I suppose that he is living off of his vast savings?

I thought that it was sort of ironic that Greenlee told Ryan "you knew that this is exactly where I wanted to come", when he took her to the romantic rendezevous at the boat house. An odd choice, since that was "her place" with Leo - the place where they got married, the place where they first "consumated their relationship", etc.

I loved Simone's comment, when Ryan inquired as to why they weren't celebrating her joining a bowling league with some "longnecks", and she pointed to Kendall and said "we have one"!

Am I nuts, or are they trying to create some heat between Zach and Erica? I've suspected for a long time that they might eventually try to put those 2 together. (Whenever they have a lot of tension between Erica and a male character, they usually wind up pairing her with him, eventually - David, Adam, Chris........) They wouldn't be a bad couple..........but I would hate to see them break up Jack and Erica, so soon after they finally got married!

The picnic should be a hoot. I have to say, I love seeing Babe having the upper hand with Adam for once.

I am getting so confused on "is she" or "isn't she Dixie?". The fact that "Di" seems to know all these little details about JR's childhood - hmmmmm.... But I really hope she isn't. I'd like to see Cady come back and claim that role again.

David is quite the talented guy. He can mix up potions, test DNA, impregnate women with turkey basters (or however they did that - thankfully they didn't SHOW it) . His savings account must be quite significant.

I just hope Adam can spring Krystal from the joint soon - she really needs a new wardrobe.
