Oh thank you Mickey's Sunshine, TG for Soapnet, we have a cookout this afternoon plus I have to work extra this week so at least I can see the shows in the evening. I'm very upset about the Danielle storyline though losing her virginity to Josh. That's not sitting well with me.

Yep. ACK on Danielle and Josh. :earseek: Who the heck thought THAT was a good idea???

Can't wait for the big picnic! My 4th festivities don't start until 3, so I'll be able to check it out.

You're welcome S&K'smom. :)

I could not agree more, it is just wrong. Poor Reggie. :( I hope he dumps her.

I agree. I don't want to see Reggie get hurt. He's trying to be such a good guy. Sam drinking the beer, didn't like that either. Poor Lily, she's gonna be more confused.

Now I heard Jamie is going to dump Babe and that Babe and J.R get closer :earseek:

Alexa Havins will be on the Tony Danza show July 13th.

Sorry to interupt. But don't forget to vote for me! ;)

I do not like Sam drinking either. what is up with the show....are they trying to make us think all teenagers cant live by morals/behave. Danielle resisted Reggie for so long and now they go and make her do something that stupid. It would be a LITTLE better if they have her sleep with Reggie when she was drunk but another guy? Barf.

Then you have Sam, mom leaves and he starts partying? Hope Tad sets him straight real fast!

I agree with you all. What they are doing with Danielle and Sam is really irritating. They could have interesting storylines without making both of them out to be such jerks. Blech.

Oh I'm so irritated with the Danielle story line. It is very disappointing but again how many girls has this happened to. And yeah Sam going partying when mom leaves that happens too, but I loved how Brooke took him to task. I'm actually liking Derek and Mimi finally giving Derek a personality. Today was a good storyline.

I am very disappointed that they are having Danielle sleep with Josh. :sad2: I really liked her & Reggie together. I thought it could of almost been a Jessie & Angie type romance. Too sad. :guilty:

I agree with you all, about Danielle and Josh. I really didn't think that they were going to have her go through with it (since she is underage and lied to Josh about how old she was, especially) - especially after all of the times that she told Reggie that she wasn't "ready". I don't want to see Reggie get hurt, either - it was so sweet how he was being "big brother" to Lily and watching out for her, taking the car keys and the beer away from Sam, trying to help Danielle, etc. He is such a good guy - hopefully, finding out about Danielle and Josh won't send him into a tailspin. Maybe they will have Danielle feel really badly about what she did, confess to Reggie, and then maybe in time, he will forgive her?

I also loved Brooke's grounding Sam and explaining to him why no one in her house will ever take a chance by driving under the influence of alcohol. Brooke is so great - I hope that they start giving her more to do, again.

Where was Erica at the picnic? I don't think that Jack even mentioned her or explained why she wasn't there! Maybe she was taking care of important "New Beginnings" business??

It was so annoying when Opal and Ruth locked Tad and Di(xie) up together - I don't want Tad with THIS Di(xie), whether she turns out to be "real" or not! If he can't be with Cady McClain's Dixie, then I'd rather see him with Krystal!

Speaking of Cady McClain, I bought the ABC Soaps magazine that had the piece about Babe and Jamie's wedding, and there was also a piece in it that discussed Cady's having a personal crisis, right now, and that's why she's taken a leave of absence from "ATWT". She very vaguely said that she doesn't know what the future holds (in general) and implied that while she is grateful that "AMC" and its fans want her back, she cannot guarantee that she would ever come back.

There was also a neat article about why Eva LaRue "really" left - it turns out that essentially right from the start, she didn't like the way that the writers wrote her storylines - she hated their putting "Maureen" with Aidan. She thought that the Edmund-Maria-Zach triangle had possibilities, but felt that they didn't follow through with that story, enough. Ultimately, she hoped that they could have written Edmund and Maria off of the show and have them leave as a couple (so as not to leave the fans with the sour memories that we are now stuck with) and was disappointed that they chose not to do that. She said that playing out those storylines were very frustrating, and that it was very difficult to deal with her personal life, every day at work (ie: John Callahan). She also apparently asked ABC Daytime if Maria could be "transferred" to "General Hospital" and continue her character there, working in the hospital, etc., but they told her that they already had enough female characters in her age range on the show, now. Since she is moving to California, she's hoping that maybe eventually, there will be a spot for Maria on that show.

Wow, that makes perfect sense about Eva LaRue. The storylines that she came back to were horrible, just horrible. Here you have this long mourned character come back after years away and instead of the heartfelt homecoming EVERYONE wanted they tore apart Maria's character. Then you take one of the more popular couples on AMC in recent years and make them both out to be jerks. I don't blame her at all for wanting to leave the show. I am sure that her return was not done in anyway that she had expected or wanted it to be.

It was almost like they get her back only to destroy the Maria character so no one will care that she never returns. Just another popular long-time character that the writers have destroyed in one of their dumb plots.

::yes:: I couldn't agree more.

Loved yesterday, when Erica was talking to Regis..."say hi to Kelly for me, I don't know where on earth you found her, but she sure is working out great" ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!! Even my dh thought that was pretty funny!!!

Yes, Erika - that was the best line in the show - that was great! :)

And I agree with your sentiments about Maria (and the many other great characters who have been "ruined" in the past), too, Sarge. They seem to be doing it with Ryan, right now. And how will we ever be able to look at Dixie the same way - whether Cady McClain comes back, or not?! They'd better have some decent plans for Julia's return..........or else we'll "lose" another great character of the past! They're already making Mimi out to be a shrew - the woman hasn't smiled once, since she arrived back in PV! At least her fiance seems like a decent guy........

I can't believe that Adam forced Krystal and Babe to interrupt Kate's memorial service with "the big reveal" - that was just downright WRONG. I'm glad that they're (maybe?) getting this whole Di thing out in the open, and I'm glad that Krystal is out of jail, but couldn't Adam have waited 'til a more appropriate time? JR has been through so many lies and confusion that he just may wind up in Oak Haven, after he finds out that Di isn't his mother!

I have to say I am thrilled that Krystal is out of jail. It was really getting old seeing her in Orange. Speaking of her clothing, did you see her yesterday? Wow. Adam, the all powerful, gets her sprung from jail and they dash over as quickly as possible to the memorial service. Of course, on the way, they stop at Myrtle's dress shop (she does still own that, right) and buys that hot emerald colored number! Then, she hits the beauty salon and gets her hair and makeup done. Wow, Adam is pretty patient to wait for her to get all dolled up like that to destroy Di/Dead/Dixie, but you have to look good right when you break Tad's heart. I had to laugh when I saw that. Of course we all know they time reference in Pine Valley is pretty funny but I mean really. Unless of course that prison she was in sends off the ladies in a fancy dress?

One other nit, Adam who hasn't owned a company for how many years now, but he still has so much pull he can spring a prisoner with 20 years left on their sentence. Sounds like someone to have on your side at all times. I was wondering how they would spring Krystal, but that was quick and painless!

I, too, thought that was a great line. :cool1: I am anxious to see today's episode and see how "Dixie" reacts to Adam's news. If it gets Hayward in trouble, that would be a good thing. I am tired of him be the answer to everyone's troubles.

Speaking of her clothing

I have to wonder about all the outfits they wear. Those are dresses that I would normally see at weddings or formal functions. I know I don't walk around in that kind of clothing & I never wore anything like that to work when I did work in office.

Melsmice I couldn't agree with you more. Wow and I thought I was doing well with clean jeans.

This Di story is killing me, is she or isn't she? On the other board I read they are saying Cady is definately not coming back so who knows.

We tlak about that too. They never wear just normal clothes. I don't know about anyone else but I don't wear cocktail dresses to the office :sad2:

We had storms yesterday because of Cindy so they had local weather on all day. They aired yesterday's episode today so I guess we will continue to be a day behind everyone.
