Yeah, the writers must think that we are all just plain stupid.

I read the updates on here every week but if I miss the show it doesn't really bother me. Sad. This time last year it was getting exciting.

But don't we know for a fact that Di isn't Dixie, as Cady McClain is coming back to the show (or rumor has it)?

Notice how Di(xie) made a point of mentioning that she needed to have surgery on her vocal chords, too (to explain why her voice is totally different from Cady McLain's)? She hasn't explained yet, though, how her physique is totally different from Dixie's - remember those tight outfits they used to dress Cady McLain in? This Di(xie) is much - shall we say - flatter - and taller than she "used to be". Also, I think that we were to have believed that Dixie was a natural blonde........but we know for a fact that Di's blonde came right out of the bottle that David gave her.........too many ridiculous, unanswered questions - I just don't get how the writers are going to expect us (much less the characters) to buy this!

Yeah, just a few major problems. UGH, don't get me started. The whole prison thing is absurd. Now as far as the physique, I guess flatter I can buy, since surgery could do that, but taller??? I have always said she is too tall to be Dixie, Cady McClain was a tiny little thing. And yes, she was a natural blonde, but not this platinum junk David gave her. I think Cady did use that color for a very short while, but she was much more of a reddish/strawberry blonde.

Amanda, YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is just rotten to the core. I hate that they brought back a wonderful character to make her do this. They could have just brought on some new girl or made up some old childhood friend returned to town, to just be awful.

I wish she would STOP singing that SONG! I don't remember Dixie even singing a note of it! Lets not forget that this Di(ixie) is about 20 years YOUNGER than the original Dixie! So, they changed her age while she was under the knives? Yea, right!

LOL, Dixie did used to sing that song, fairly often to JR when he was a baby. And while she may be younger than Cady, not quite 20 year LOL, Cady is a few months younger than me, and I'll be 36 in July. But, I still can't stand the whole thing, and I hope they will somehow explain it all away by bringing back Cady!!!!!!!

Yeah - totally unbelieveable that they couldn't find an older actress to play "Dixie"! Puh-leeze, she doesn't look old enough to be Dixie! And why would she hate Tad? I wonder if she will try to explain why she stayed away today? amnesia?

Well the latest is the Cady is taking a leave of absence from ATWT for personal reasons.

I like Di but now that I'm thinking (yeah I know dangerous) she really is young but anything to shake up the Babe/Jamie/JR storyline. This always being angry (JR) was getting boring.

Simone, I love her more everyday. Give her a major storyline.

What I'd like to know is is every prison visiting room like that you can just waltz in when you want. I think I'm done preaching.

OK, so it's not just me. The Di/Dixie storyline is MAJORLY discombobulated. It lacks continuity in all kinds of ways.

Di was a brunette in prison - can't even remember for what. She was a tough girl who protected Krystal.

Di gets released from prison and almost gets hit by a car at a busstop with Babe as a witness. She claims it's some madman trying to kill her. WHERE does all this nonsense ever fit in again?

David talks Di into playing Dixie - but miracle of miracles - or coincidence of coincidences - this woman, out of the millions of women on earth - actually IS Dixie. How amazing that David chose her - he must be the Messiah.

What ever happened to all the posers David hired to play the Dixie game. The German doctor, the REAL Diana Cole? WTH?

I know it's a soap, and we must suspend ourselves from reality - but the writers must have short term memory loss these days.

Patti you are so right. How are they gonna explain all that. What the heck was she doing in prison? Then almost run over? I wonder if they are sort of playing two cards with this story line just in case Cady comes back.

That's what I'm hoping. Then maybe they can go back and explain all the "Di stuff" some other way.

Remember when Babe freaked out when she found out the woman who almost got run over was Little Adam's nanny? They seem to have ditched that whole story - probably assuming we'd forget about it. They don't know we talk about this on the DIS and remind each other.

Absolutely right! I was also wondering how - if Di "IS" Dixie - they were going to explain David's jumping through hoops to set her up "as" Dixie, hiring all of the actors, creating a phony resume for her.......and her knowing that she WAS Dixie all along?! Much less the prison thing, all the time she spent with Krystal, etc. (Although there WAS that scene where Di was lurking in the shadows and murmured "Tad", when he came to visit Krystal, that time). We're all just as incredulous as JR, Adam, Tad, and Jamie!

In the mean time, poor Krystal! Tad goes to the jail (and waltzes right in.......and hugs and kisses her!) and dumps all his Dixie stuff on her. As if THAT probably didn't hurt her enough, DAVID is sure to be her next visitor, bounding in and declaring that the "love of HIS life", Dixie, has returned to HIM! Poor Krystal should just refuse to see them!

I also love Simone and think that she deserves more screen time! Thank God for her - if not, it would just be the usual backbiting between Kendall and Greenlee (even though it's nice how they're really being one another's friends and defending each other........even if they don't realize / acknowledge that!).

Very nice discussion between Erica (I don't really like the dress, but it does look good on her!) and Ryan, yesterday - maybe some of what she said will seep through his ever-thickening skull........probably not, though. He needs to keep his excuses to brood and sulk.

Hey! I just figured out how they are going to justify having Sam move in with Tad! Since they are both men who feel betrayed by "women who left them for 3 / 5 years and then returned and 'expected everything to be the same'", they can help each other through their respective crises over the returns of Maria and Dixie!

P.S. At least Di(xie) told Adam to "SHUT UP!", yesterday...........as I said, if she'd said "Hush!" one more time, I would have thrown something at the TV!

Did you get the feeling that maybe Erica's lecture to Ryan might have worked a little? He didn't throw her out the door in a huff like he usually does - that was telling to me. Of course, his sulking is so ingrained into the show now, I'm not sure they can shift gears so fast.

I'm DVRing AMC now, so I can watch it later. Can't wait to see how they continue this Di/Dixie thing. Maybe we can catch some more incontinuities.

If I was Krystal - I'd tell all of them where they can go. Then she can get out of prison in 9 months (oh I mean YEARS, even though in soapland it will probably be more like 9 weeks) and steal Jamie away from Babe or Amanda or hey, why not Kendall? She's doing everyone these days.
