Poor frozen Porkchop! Oh, that was a good one Pembo. I loved Trevor!!!! This is beyond sad, and waaaaay too morbid, even for Janet from another planet. But let me tell you, I am LOVING her lately, she is completely cracking me up.

Maybe Trevor is just cryogenically frozen and is not really dead???? Stranger things have happened.........(God knows stranger things have happened - people return from the dead - and from being frozen - all the time, in PV! And fetuses walk and talk! )! That whole thing is just too bizarre. But I wouldn't put it past the writers to have Trevor defrost and return, some time in the future!

I think it's OK that Julia was wearing a lab coat - Anita always wears one, and she is a Physician's Assistant, not a doctor. I'm glad to see that they gave Julia a new hair style, though - the bangs look much better on her, than those 2 droopy things that they kept framing her face with!

You're right - I'll bet that Ditsie WOULD run to David to fix her up, before she would either faint on the doorstep of the cabin or go to PVH. I was so sure that JR was going to shoot Tad, and that Ditsie was going to run in at just that moment and catch Tad, as he fell backwards into her arms.........guess not, though.

Even though the storyline is ridiculous and frustrating, at this point, you have to admit that Babe is a great actress - I thought it was great when tears spontaneously sprang into her eyes, when she realized that Janet intended for them to go on the run together, without returning L.A. to JR (ie: the kidnapping would continue). She does very good "subtle acting" like that.

I also detected a bit of the "old Jonathan" when he was talking to Jack, yesterday. That was kind of weird - I wasn't sure whether he was supposed to be naive and not realizing how his attempt at empathy was coming across, or whether he was subtley trying to manipulate Jack into agreeing that he could be with Lily.

And I also noticed that Krystal looked a bit puffy. It may just be the outfit and hairstyle, though - I don't think that either look very good on her.

Kendall and Ryan, again..............UGH. After EVERYTHING that they've been through???? I suppose that it's "poetic justice", in a way, and I would rather see Ryan with Kendall than with Julia..........but it's sad that things didn't work out for Zach and Kendall (even though his brooding is getting to be a bit annoying). And yes, I suspect that he is planning to try to kill himself (ie: "you'll make sure that things are cleaned up here, yourself, when I'm finished?"). But I'm sure that someone - maybe Di or Julia - will run in and "save" him, just as he's about to pull the trigger.........

I read somewhere that she had Mono but would be back on 3/1. Maybe that's the date she was going to start taping again. The replacement just doesn't do justice to Lily.

Leven Rambin had mono and she should be back on air very soon. I read she was in the hospital twice while she was sick.

I read a little piece in Soap Opera Digest, a few weeks ago, where Leven said that her boyfriend had gone away on vacation, over the winter holidays, and when he came back to NY, he was sick and she caught what he had! So maybe he had mono, too. Anyway, the article said that she was definitely excited about (and intended to) return to "AMC", so hopefully we'll be seeing her very soon!

I'd read that too. Did anyone else see that the girl who is currently subbing for Leven is coming back later Spring/early Summer as.....Colby?!?!? SORAS at its finest!

I was sooo sad to see frozen Uncle Porkchop! Although I've been laughing for days with the one-liners Janet was tossing off that alluded to the fact.

DD has been home, sick, the past few days & rolled her eyes today & asked "Why on earth does Babe talk to Little A like that? She must know Janet's going to walk in on her! She's done it how many times already??" Too funny!

And I've been telling myself that I just didn't care enough to ask earlier, but I'm finally caving in! I'd watched the show off & on since back in high school (when Erica was still a teenager ). I remember Natalie being in the well & Janet fooling Trevor....what I don't remember is when Trevor actually married Janet!?!?!?!?!? The last I remember was just after Amanda was born & people were visiting Janet in jail/the mental institution.

Can someone tell me how she got to be the love of his life? Or better yet - WHY?!?!?

I have a confession to make... I actually watched Maury today instead of AMC. I just couldn't take it anymore

It was so long ago..I may be confused but I thought that when Janet showed up again in Pine Valley...Uncle Trevor there didn't know it was her. She was actually the old Heather from General Hospital..can't recall her real name. Supposedly she had surgery in the Penn...or something like that. Anyone else remember this..did I dream this?. ..Anyway this is when Trevor fell in love with her..because he didn't know it was really Janet. Changed face and all. Of course over time, he came to know who she was..and they wound up being in love for real..and when they went away it was because she had killed someone who knew her from prison, and was threatening the family...they knew she would be caught and prosecuted so they left..very much in love.
Now...when she came back...she is the old original Janet with the same old face...nobody ever seemed to mention that..I guess they forgot about that part of the story...and they sort of picked up with her being a crazy...which she wasn't when they left Pine Valley. Alot of rewriting to fit into this new grown up Amanda storyline...like she had this rough childhood with a crazy mom. Also Amanda is probably about 12..not twenty something..but that's soap opera aging for you!

You are correct. Janet returned to PV from prison with a new face thanks to experimental surgery she received while still in prison. She went by the name of Jane Cox. I don't remember how Trevor found out she was actually Janet but by that time it was too late, he was in love. They had a lovely wedding and I still remember their walk back up the aisle. I don't remember the song they walked to but it was unusual I know that. I much prefered the other Janet but I think she wasn't available. Too bad because Kate Collins WAAAAAAY overacts.

I don't see how they can have the actress currently playing Lily as another character. I'd think it would be too confusing.

Janet from another planet....I remember when she came back to PV with her "new face". I also remember thinking how weird a sl is that...little did I know about walking fetuses. Janet seems to think Uncle frozen Porkchop can be defrosted. I was always hoping Michael Cambias would be.

Zach can't kill himself....who would all the random women of PV run to for illicit help????? He's turning into the savior of PV.

Ah the old Janet storyline. I remember that fondly. If people recall she was awarded an 'early release' from prison if she agreed to the experimental plastic surgury to change her appearance. Just what every convicted murderer needs is a changed appearance and an early release! Janet (as played wonderfully by Robin Matteson) came back to cause trouble, and be with Amanda, but as the fans grew to love her, she was 'cured' in rather short time. Seems like that happens a lot in PV, Jonathan is another example.

Janet wanted to trick Trevor into falling love with Jane Cox so she could be close to her real daughter whom Natalie adopted. Amanda was always Trevor's, old Janet (the one who looked like Natalie) got pregnant by tricking Trevor into thinking he was 'with' his wife since they were identical at the time. Anyhow, Janet was cured and Trevor was the love of her life and fell in love with Janet, which at the time was stretch, but one the fans accepted because Janet was really a beloved character at this point. They got married much to the chagrin of the PV townspeople, but even they came to like Janet, even Ditsie whose brother Janet killed. As others have said, Janet killed someone, defending her family and Amanda and Trevor decided that she should relocate because he was afraid the the PV townspeople would condemn her again. Janet and Trevor were living peacefully somewhere out west until apparently the writers decided to make Janet crazy again which apparently caused her plastic surgery to reverse since she looks like she did before she went to jail, before her surgery. Blech. Does anyone remember when Natalie had plastic surgery too and neither Natalie nor Janet looked like Kate Collins anymore?

I am sick of the Janet story and disgusted that they apparently have killed Trevor. Love the frozen pork chop comments though! Perhaps Dr. Cletus Fetus Martin-Kane-Madden will work a miracle on Trevor and he will be alive. If Trevor is dead and Hayley doesn't come back for the funeral I will be really disapointed.

UGGGHHHH.............I think I see a horrible "trend" happening...........Ditsie showed up at Zach's office just as he was presumably about to kill himself........and he saved her life............flash forward 3 - 6 months from now:

ZACH: "Dixie, you saved me. You are my savior. I will love you 'til the day I die". (Even though he said the same thing to both Maria and Kendall)

DIXIE: "Zach, you saved my life! Just when I thought that everything was hopeless and I had no one to turn to! You understood me when no one else could have! You are the love of my life!"

GAG. I just have a feeling that that (or something like it, anyway) is going to happen. Ditsie-the-saint will be Zach's "salvation", just when he thought he had no reason to live. And Zach will "save" Ditsie and be the only one on her side, when her whole family turns against her, once they realize that she's alive. It will be like the whole Maureen / Maria thing all over again.........UGH.

Good question, why no one ever mentions Timmy or acknowledges his existence. Surely HE would be worried if he hadn't heard from Trevor in awhile, too! And he was always so protective of "Mandable" - one would think that he would at least check in on her to see how she's doing, in PV!

In recounting Janet's past, don't forget about the whole period of time in between Jane Cox and when she, Trevor, and Amanda left PV to escape charges because she killed her prison inmate. Trevor didn't fall in love with her when she was Jane Cox..........Jane Cox was actually after TAD, not Trevor! Trevor was still happily married to Natalie, at the time. Then Natalie died and Trevor married Laurel, the new "love of his life", stealing her away from Jack. In the mean time, Janet went away for awhile, and thought about every way she could to be close to Amanda. So she plotted (with one of her other former prison inmates) to blow up the church where Trevor and Laurel were to get married.........but wound up getting hit by lightning and knocked unconscious, instead. Pierce, the mysterious mountain man who lived in Phoebe's forest cabin found her, took her home with him, and nursed her back to health. She lived there with him - and later with Laura soon-to-be-English, too - for many months, until Pierce decided to "return to society" and fall in love with Brooke. Then Janet slowly "returned to society", where she got a job and slowly regained Trevor's trust........he slowly let her start spending time with Amanda........then they both told Amanda together that Janet was her biological mother.........then Trevor fell in love with Janet and THEY got married and lived happily ever after..........so there is no good reason that Janet should have returned to PV "crazy" enough to have killed Trevor, made Amanda's childhood miserable, and terrorize the entire town! It's just completely inconsistent with the way that they left the characters, 5 or so years ago!

Ryan and Kendall - haven't we been down this road before? Once? Twice??? Here we go, again?? I was GLAD that Greenlee apparently changed her name back to DuPres, in part to spite Ryan - Leo WAS the only husband that should have mattered to her - at least he didn't pretend that he was dead for months on end, then show up and expect her to have undertood!

Very nice scenes with Jonathan and Lily, yesterday! Can't wait for Leven to come back, though!

I'm so sorry to hear about Dana Reeve. I don't recall her being on "AMC" - I don't think that it was any time in the recent past - maybe back in the early 80's?
