Hey Everyone!
Sorry that I have not been around, for the past few days, but I have been frozen solid for several days, up here in freezing NJ, and am only now beginning to "thaw out"!
This weather that we've been having is just ridiculous - it was 4 degrees out, this morning, with a wind chill of - 7! 4 DEGREES!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable!
Anyway........I agree with you, Sarge - I get very uncomfortable when Ed-dumb has those fantasies about Mauron (very good!
), too. It's weird because they used to be one of my favorite couples, and now I would rather see her with Aidan! Speaking of Aidan, doesn't every would-be assassin carry around a chess set while holding someone hostage?? That storyline is just ridiculous!
I am also glad that we were spared the "teen Brady Bunch", yesterday, Faith! And I agree with you, MaryJ and Pembo - Petey is more talented and fun to watch than all of the "teens" put together! I love his scenes with Kendall! Actually, that little storyline with Kendall and the "handsome stranger" was actually very nice, yesterday. I hope that they leave it as just an independent experience that Kendall had to give her more confidence in herself instead of turning it into a recurring storyline, where she searches for Michael, or he turns out to be a business competitor, or whatever. What Erica said to Kendall yesterday was totally uncalled for and unprovoked - I don't like when Erica acts unreasonably, like that, then Chris shows up to tell her how wonderful she is.
I actually sort of enjoy the Maggie-in-college storyline - probably because I'm planning to go back to school full time, myself, in the fall, and it brings back memories of my college days and makes me think about what I'll have to look forward to, in a few months (I will have to take Organic Chemistry, as well - UGH. All of my friends who took it in college, who are now doctors or dentists, said that it really WAS the "killer" that Maggie and her pals are making it out to be!). And I sort of like her with Henry, too. I think that Henry's "secret" is that he lives at home with his mother, and he's embarrassed to admit that to Maggie (I remember reading somewhere, before his character came on that "a young Asian man and his mother are moving to Pine Valley").
I have no clue what Lena's purpose is, either. It would be kind of nice if she was a prospective love interest for Bianca, instead of a corporate spy, or whatever. It's nice that they're establishing an identity for Bianca, independent of Maggie, again. I just don't understand why they would keep BoydBoydBoyd on the show, but fire Trey!
And he's "in love with" Kendall, all of a sudden? How much do you want to bet that he gets out of his contract with Erica and goes to work for Fusion, just to be closer to her??
Did anyone else think that it looked like Jake was wearing eyeshadow, the other day?? All of a sudden, Mr. Loyal is going to start looking at other women just because Tad said "dump Mia"??? That is so out of character for Jake. I hope that they don't proceed with having him have an affair with the resident at the hospital (even though she seems more interesting than Mia, even in the 2 seconds that she's been on screen so far). I did like the discussion that he had with Tad, though - I thought that they both played those scenes very well.
I read on SoapCentral that Laurie has signed a formal contract with "AMC". WHY????? Why do they give this dull character a contract, but get rid of Trey and Frank???? I just don't get it.
They tied up that Liza-pushed-Mia-out-the-window storyline very nicely, didn't they? Last month, Mia was on her deathbed in the hospital, and Liza was torturing herself with guilt......now Liza is setting up appointments for Mia to pick out wedding dresses, and there is never a mention of any animosity / suspicion / lack of trust?? Yet in other storylines, the same themes are harped on over.....and over.....and over (ie: Ed-dumb trying to force Maureena to get her memory back and fighting with David, Laurie and Joanie trying to convince eachother to go out with JR and Jamie, etc.).
What's the purpose of having Reggie live with Trey? Is Reggie going to be another new character for the "young crowd"? I like him - he's funny - but I don't see the purpose in having him live with Trey, or work at Fusion, for that matter.
Mia is the new face of Fusion?? Please. Maybe they could use her and her ever-changing hair as their hair model, though! When Jake picked up that picture of her on his desk, I almost didn't recognize her, because that was about 5 hairstyles / colors ago, for her!
Hope that all is well with all of you and that you're all staying warm! Have a nice day!
