All My Children Fans Revisted!! (still loving and hating our show)

Will Leo and Vanessa's bodies wash up? I hate it when there is no body! That just annoys me!

Sherry-I saw Ryan and immediately--That just made Sherry's day:smooth:

sgt-Leo was alive in the water but they did a Titanic thing and he kind of slipped away.

Bianca was the most heart-wrenching for me.

btw-Did we have to see Frank and Simone on the couch? where's the puking smilie thing!

Yep, seeing Ryan made my day.

Bianca was very heart-wrenching. Seeing her just made me cry more!

First of all -- brandie, I was cracking up about your dh talking about the show at work and some woman not knowing Leo was going to die. She must have been living under a rock. LOL!

Sarge - Leo was hanging onto a large tree root or branch and it was right under the falls where the water was frantically swirling and he lost his strength trying to hold on and slipped away. And Ryan only appeared in a Kendall flashback. Still one of my favorite scenes in recent history -- watching Ryan leave Kendall screeching his name in the rain. hehe.

OMG! I thought everything was soooo well done today! I was like lilboo thinking I wouldn't cry. It takes quite a bit to get me to cry at the soap especially when I've read so much about what was going to happen. But I definitely teared up when Greenlee thought Leo had rescued her. It was fun seeing Trey as somewhat of a comic relief today having to conquer his vertigo. (Funny, the vertigo didn't seem to bother him when he jumped from the balcony in Paris.) And Anna was actually barking out orders like a real CoP! I was impressed. Even the female reporter on the scene and the ones who busted in on Kendall added more reality to the unfolding drama. Marj and Josh's acting was outstanding. I'm really going to miss them. I think everyone involved played out some very dramatic scenes very well. I was pleasantly surprised.

When Leo surfaced and started clinging to the branch I wondered if AMC has just pulled off the biggest bluff of their life!! Just an instant of wishful thinking.

I agree about Simone/Frank being puke inducing. (Thanks for rounding up that smilie, Sherry! LOL!) When the heck did they get so lovey dovey? I thought it was pretty much useless filler for the day. But the rest of the show ROCKED!!

Faith - I'm sorry you missed the show. Want to borrow my tape? I can bring it at SSW and you can mail it back to me. I think I want to keep this one.

Thank you Sherry and Scarlett for the appropriate smilies!

Will they find Leo's body???? or Vanessa's?????

Does anyone get the creeps when Kendall & Trey are together? They act as if they should be dating not brother/sister!

:( What a sad sad day. Sherry, you definately were not the only sap here. My eyes were watering up through most of the show but was in tears when Leo helped Greens up and Bianca. Oh my on Bianca - that was very hard. :( The only bright spot of the day was RYAN!!!! The look on David's face - sad.

I am with Aprille - definately some real good acting today. I kept thinking - David just run up those steps, thats your brother up there.

Bye Leo, we will miss you along with the others. I think it was sadder for me seeing Gillian die though. Maybe because of the heartache Ryan was going through. :( I will probably miss tomorrows show, thinking of going to MK for the day tomorrow.

omg...that was the saddest thing i have seen in a long time...but what's even sadder? you know this isn't over yet...we have to go through greenlee's mourning along with everyone else in pine valley! this next week is going to be a killer...

kendall and trey do act like a dating couple...not brother and sister...

DH was trying to make light of the whole situation last night on AMC...i have to admit that it was pretty funny! he kept making comments about the fact that everytime it seemed that leo should be dead, he would spring up and go through some more...he kept saying "he just refuses to die, doesn't he?" he got a few dirty looks for that one...and then when the new reporter lady said the names of the victims, he was like "that's unrealistic. they would never report like that without contacting the victim's families first"...he had a point...my defense was "this is TV!" i said as i sat there all blubbery and sobbing...

i don't know if i can take greenlee mourning him...it's going to kill me!

Okay, changing topics a little because everyone is sad. I do remember a storyline with Brooke probably 15 years ago when she got kidnapped. But I don't think it was a Saudi prince that kidnapped her, it was someone who was obsessed with her. When she was kidnapped, they played that Police song over and over again-"I'll be watching you." Does anyone remember that?

Also, what seems to annoying to me lately, is the way they have hinted at or started story lines, and then they just drop them without explanation. I wonder what is going on with the writers. Or maybe they have always done that, and it just seems more noticeable to me lately. For example, some storylines that have been dropped recently...

1. The Marion drinking thing

2. Jamie not talking-His problems just went away...

3. Kendall and Greenlee teaming up to get back at Erica-I doubt that's going to happen now.

4. Revlon was supposed to be a big part of the storyline awhile back, but they let that go pretty quick.

5. Tim and Amanda-Some phone calls home that hinted at things, and then nothing.

6. Chris finding Eric Kane-I suppose they might follow up on this later.

7. Mia having a crush on Adam-That's been dropped

Anything else??

6.

Brandie, you are not alone - while I was getting all choked up watching yesterday's episode.....my DH was LAUGHING! I couldn't believe it - I was like "have you no heart?" I think that he was just laughing to keep from getting all emotional, himself! I thought that yesterday's episode was beautifully done, as well. Everyone did a great job, and I was impressed with the waterfall and river "set" that they apparently built in the studio.

As for the soap scene that made me cry the most? I don't know - there were several - when Trevor and Janet had to explain to Amanda that Harold was dying, and when they were mourning the loss (and then Natalie led him away on a leash in heaven); when Ed-dumb ripped baby Sammy out of Maria's arms at the airport, when she was planning to take him away so that Kelsey couldn't get him back, when Cindy died and Stuart was remembering her.....there were many!

I also wondered why Trey didn't experience that vertigo when he was on the window ledge in Paris, Aprille!

Some other "unfinished" storylines, Patty:

1. Kendall being Petey's nanny.

2. Opal "looking out for" Palmer while he recovered from being in the hospital, and hinting at their getting back together.

3. JR's singing career and band.

4. A possible re-kindling of romance between Jackson and Mary Smythe.

5. Sexual tension between Aidan and Kendall (I guess that they don't run into eachother any more, now that she's no longer living at the Pine Cone).

6. Mateo's interest in the Proteus case (he used to be obsessed with it - now he doesn't care at all about Vanessa or her whereabouts).

And I'm sure that there are many more, too! The writers seem to be overflowing with possible plots, lately!

I have a feeling that because both Trey and Greenlee witnessed Leo's death, and because he saved her life.....they will eventually get together.

I kinda like Simone and Frank together - hey, it's better than watching her make out with Roger, right? :) And I feel sorry for her, the way that I feel sorry for Brooke - in that "I don't want to lose again" sort of way!

Looking forward to seeing what happens today..........

I am sorry, but yesterday's show didn't make me all that sad. I mean not sad like everyone else is describing. Maybe it is a 'guy' thing? ;) A couple of times I almost wanted to laugh. I know that sounds terrible. I saw Leo slip away, and I could think was how long it would take him to come back if things don't pan out in L.A... Granted it is always 'sad' to see a character go, but for some reason none of this yesterday had an effect on me....

Maybe it will be sadder when we have to watch Greenlee and David grieve. We shall see. I also thought that maybe Bianca would have freaked out more than she did to the point of fainting or something..

Sorry that I am the only one who didn't think yesterday was all that touching. I guess it's a 'man' thing.. LOL!

P.S. I agree on the barf factor with Simone and Frank.. They don't have much chemistry.

Don't apologize Sarge! I have to admit-esp. Trey and his fear of heights thing-had me ROFLMAO!!

And-ugh-for Simone and Frank and other moments of queasiness-just let me know when you need one of these:

Good job on the unfinished storylines everyone! Marion, who? ;)

Okay, I have to say that the parts that ALMOST brought on the tears for me were not what I would have expected. The first was when David was being so tender with Greenlee. He had just lost his brother, and yet, instead of ranting about it himself, he was doing his best to calm Greenlee.

The second was when Kendall and Trey were in the chapel and she took his hand and said, "You have a sister." It's nice to see Kendall with a sibling that she really cares about.

I guess I really do not want to be sad, as I missed the show again today. Work kept me late again, but at least I have EXTRA MONEY for SSW!:bounce: :Pinkbounc (which is in 20 days by the way):o

I choked up, and shed a few tears. Gillian I think made me shed more, but this was close. So sad, I wish he and Greens could have left together.

IASW Rider, when Harold was dying, I had to turn it off, that ripped my heart out, and I couldn't watch. Eddie taking baby Sam at the airport was also awful. Soaps just like to torture us. GH has had a couple really awful ones, BJ's death, and Stones death! Man I need a life LOL.

>Maria accepted Edmund's bid for a date, causing her to change her plans to be with Aidan. Anna ordered more tests on the drug David crushed into her carpet. Marian urged Liza to take Adam back, while Stuart advised him to give her more time. Later, Brooke and Adam encountered each other at a bar and wound up making love in her bedroom. Kendall persuaded Jack not to arrest Trey for stealing the Proteus files.
WAIT TO SEE - Erica has a wrning for Trey and Kendall.

Please tell me this can't be!!! Brooke and Adam?!?!?!? How many times do the writers have to take people down these old tired paths... How original is that? Besides Brooke is supposedly a smart woman and hated Adam! Come on!!! I personally would think it would be more intersting if they hooked Brooke up with Aidan or Trey. A little May/September thingy going on. Brooke and Adam? Where is that puking smiley now? I think what was left of any reasonable scriptwriting must have gone over the falls with Leo and Nessie. :jester: Give me Simone and Frankie over Adam and Brooke any day! (And that isn't saying much!)

I think I figured out why the Leo - Greenlee thing seemed less than sad to me. There was no contact between them.. Leo fell, Greenlee was clinging to vines. I think it would have made me more 'sad' if it was written where Leo was drowning and Greenlee was trying to save him to no avail. You know, more like the real Titanic scene. Greenlee hanging on yelling, just didn't cut it for me. I am sure they don't want to 'find a body' so Josh can come back... But Greenlee and Trey could have been more involved in trying to help Leo in some way, and it would have made so much more sad. Plus Leo was still floating and clinging to that tree when he 'helped' Greenlee up, so you can't even thing that his 'ghost' helped her. He was still alive then, so it was all in Greens mind...

I agree the Gillian scenes were very sad, but again, here was Ryan cradling his wife in his arms as she lay dying. Not shouting at her from a distance not knowing what was happening.
