All Mazatlan Excursions Filled?

We were thinking about doing an "on our own" thing in Mazatlan but have been reconsidering recently. So, I get online today and log in to my reservation to try and reserve an excursion, and ALL of the Mazatlan excursions are showing as sold out. I find it hard to believe this is the case. Could this just be a problem with the website?

Also, the Port Adventures section is now showing some new excursions in Mazatlan, but they aren't available to book under the Excursions link in My Cruise Plans. :confused3

Are other folks seeing this same thing when they try to reserve an excursion in Mazatlan?

I just checked mine and it is showing the same thing, No reservations available on any of the excursions!! Wonder if they are reconsidering that port???

Same thing for Feb 6. Nothing available. Huh.
Glad I didn't have anything booked! We were unsure what to do here so we decided to wait and see:scratchin

Same here, we leave 01/30 and nothing available. Although that could actually be true since I am sailing next week, all Mazatlan excursions were open for me to reserve yesterday.

Well, isn't this an interesting twist.....looks like they might be reevaluating stopping there.

I'm interested to know where they would stop instead? Or, maybe just have another sea day?

That's okay by me! We were going to stay on the ship anyway. Been to Mazatlan before and really didn't enjoy it.

Hmm.... interesting.

Mazatlan is actually the only port that I don't have an excursion booked - there was nothing that jumped out at me.

Where do you think we could stop then?

My itinerary changed slightly - not by much.

My paper cruise docs are showing ashore in Mazatlan 7:30 a.m., onboard 6:00 p.m.

My online itinerary has been changed to ashore in Mazatlan 7:30 a.m., onboard 4:00 p.m.

I know its not much of a change, it just seems to me like as of right now they maybe dont want us there after dark?

I dunno, just thought i'd throw that out there :)

I would love to go to La Paz instead of Mazatlan!:cool1: La Paz is a real city with gorgeous beaches (not unlike the Caribbean). They have a huge port, there wouldn't be any problems with the port.

We sail on 3/27 so I'll be watching!

Hmmm....I'm going 2/13 and it says no reservations available in Maz for us either. Odd.

La Paz is pretty...would love to go back. But maybe Manzanillo? Or, better yet, Zihuatenejo!:goodvibes

Could they really change ports so quickly--on such last minute notice? Or would they maybe do an overnight in Cabo or PV? I hope they aren't considering San Diego -- we live here. That would be a total drag.

We are also on this cruise and I am interested to see what is going on with this port. We currently have a private tour booked through Mazatlan Frank (with an associate), and would like to let him know if things are going to change so that he might be able to get someone else booked if needed.

I called DCL. The representative seemed unsure when he told me he had to check inventory. When he came back on the line he said that all the excursions are full and that he was sorry. I don't think he had his information correct--it doesn't make sense.

Maybe someone else can call and ask someone else for some info?? It's not a big deal to me, I'd just like to know.

Well apparently that CM has no idea. I am sure that they are not all sold out on all of our sailings!! :confused3

Maybe we will hear something soon.

I booked a tour in PV through Mazatlan Frank and went with his associate there and had a great time. For those of you with out tours look him up and if there is a tour you like book with him.:thumbsup2

I just posted a new thread. DCL confirmed that they are no longer stopping in Matzatlan. There will be two stops at Cabo.

So Mazatlan was the day before Cabo on the itinerary. Does that mean that we will do back-to-back days in Cabo on days 5 and 6? Will we come in and go out or just stay in port???
Did they say anything about when they would open excursions for the second stop in Cabo???:confused3

Although I am happy about this, I do feel bad for the tourism industry in Maz...it looks like they will be hit hard over the violence:sad2:

I did call them also but everyone was confused about why they were all booked but I also found out that they are pulling out of mazatlan for passengers safety is what I was told...but I love cabo so im glad we get two days there :cheer2:
