All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Congratulations again on another princess! Sophie Kate is a gorgeous name, and I am sure she will fit right in to the Royal Court of MeMom's Girls! :goodvibes

Lovely walk around AKL. Hearing the storyteller remains one of our fondest Disney memories!

Finally back in DIStown.

Congrats for the new princess: :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I too would love to John's reaction when he found out!!!! :rotfl2:

I know he loves his girls but it sure makes it easier room and wardobe wise but I know a few moms with only boys and a few dads with only girls and they feel a bit outnumbered at times. :lmao: A good kind of crazy. :rolleyes1

Okay I see the smilies are back in some sort of order thay once were but it depends, so now it just changes every time.

Find your way to AKL soon. I think you will love it!

I think so too! I want to try Boma some time ::yes::

Our birthday weekend(and Monday) festivities start tomorrow :cool1: Tomorrow is my mom's birthday; I'm taking her out to breakfast and then my grandma is taking both of us out for dinner for both of our birthdays. On Monday, my birthday, I have to go to my morning class, and then I'm coming home for a little bit before we go up to Boston for late lunch/early dinner and a Red Sox game! :dance3:

Wow been off the boards for a bit. :(
Missed a bunch of updates,,,,thanks for those.:thumbsup2:surfweb:
Congrats on the new little princess, that is going to be one pink house! :bride:
Poor daddy!

Looking forward to more as always, thank you for the effort.

Congratulations on your new little princess!! I love her name!!

Thank you. It was nice to be talking about her by name this weekend, instead of just saying 'this baby'.

Well, she sort of has a royal name. Kate Middleton comes to mind.

I think he likes having the house all to himself and having plenty of peace and quiet when all the girls are off doing girl things, so he may be okay with it. :) I don't know if he secretly wanted a boy, or not. I'm sure some small part of him did.

Of course, #4 could be a boy.... :rolleyes1

I am looking forward to party pictures.

Coming up!

Even when you aren't eating at Boma, the aroma over by the stairs is worth paying for! It smells so good!

Hope you guys have all kinds of birthday fun!

I'm excited about the nursery. I won't reveal, in case it's a secret, but it will be cute....

and Disney-related. ;)

Thanks for chiming in. Sometimes I wonder if we have outworn our welcome in DIStown and if people are sick of hearing about our stuff.

Our neck of the DIStown woods hosted a Chef Mickey's Party yesterday evening. For those who are interested, here are some pictures.

The idea formulated months ago, so we ordered chef hats and aprons for all. Jill found a Chef Mickey's logo and did the iron-on transfers. I think they look great.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012001.jpg

Right before the party started, Chef Mickey arrived.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012005.jpg

The boys followed shortly after, and all the little chefs got ready to cook dinner.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012006.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012007.jpg

The littlest chef was Micah, who just had his first birthday.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012008.jpg

The kids were listening to all of the jobs that had to be done.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012010.jpg

Making Kool-Aid was a favored task.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012011.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012013.jpg

Carson and Dawn fix strawberries,

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012021.jpg

while Micah perfects the art of going up and down the stairs.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012022.jpg

This is always a favorite activity of small visitors to our house. ;)

Jill helps out as cupcakes are frosted.

Chef Mickey's buffet.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012028.jpg

Minnie's Bake Shop provided desserts.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012027.jpg

Thanks for the food and our time together.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012029.jpg

We took our food to Old Key West to eat. :goodvibes

After eating and before heading out to Goofy's Garden Golf, we had the kids take pictures with Mickey.

Parker was first, so I'll just show his.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012033.jpg

The rest looked pretty much the same, except some were taller, some were shorter, some were girls, and none of the rest were getting over pink-eye. ;)

Poor little fella - he had been on his antibiotics for over 24 hours, but his Mom still made sure he didn't touch anyone else's food or anything else, so he was the 'leper' for the night. His cupcakes were separated from everyone else's, so in true Disney style, Chef Mickey's catered to special mealtime needs. :)

Then it was time to burn off some calories with nine holes of golf.

The kids went in age order, with Kemper leading off.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012041.jpg

Hole 1.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012042.jpg

Next up was Carson.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012043.jpg

Between holes 1 and 2, they had to stop and water the watermelon.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012045.jpg

Hole 2 was what everyone needs in their gardens -

a money tree!

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012046.jpg

I won't bore you with all of the pictures, but rather I'll just tell you about some of the other holes and give you a variety of pictures. Among other things, there was a daisy/Daisy garden, an apple ramp, a corn row, a snake tunnel, a pumpkin patch, and a vegetable race.

The cabbage won the race, of course, because he's always a-head.

Yes, that and other 'corny' jokes were placed all around the course, mostly for the adults, since the kids were too little to get any of them. :upsidedow

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012048.jpg

How do you make an apple turnover?

Roll it down a hill, of course.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012049.jpg

Or in this case, roll it up a ramp.

At hole 6, they had to stop and spray some pesky bugs away.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012050.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012051.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012052.jpg

Watch out for those snakes!

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012053.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012056.jpg

Kemper took over showing everyone what to do at each hole.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012058.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012059.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012060.jpg

Can he sink this putt?

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012067.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012068.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012069.jpg

Bella couldn't hit up the ramp, so she just threw it up the ramp.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012071.jpg

They loved spraying the bugs!

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012074.jpg

Once again, Bella is cheating, while Dean looks at her with a 'That's not how you do it!' look on his face.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012076.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012077.jpg

Consulting on how to make this one.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012078.jpg

Micah was content to throw pumpkins around the pumpkin patch.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012081.jpg

He tried his best to pick up the watermelon.

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012082.jpg

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012084.jpg

Kemper was mad that the game was over, and Dean refused an end of game picture.
(I'm not sure where Bella ran off to.)

ChefMickeysPartyApr2012085.jpg

Getting a group picture is always fun. ::yes::

So, that was our wild Saturday night fun. Hope you enjoyed. Tonight, we'll get back to trip pictures. Have a wonderful Sunday, all!

Your parties are so creative and fun! And just like WDW filled with little details that make the whole thing more special! :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing. Love those DIS town parties! ::yes::

Wow, what a great and fun Chef Mickey's party! You guys really do know how to make a great party. I love how you made different sections of the food preparing a certain resort and even where they eat. Then the golfing... how adorable! I wish I had parties like this when I was there age, all I had were pony rides and clowns :P Oh how lucky kids are these days :)

And you have an awesome Sunday too, MeMom! :teeth:

Once again, I am going to have to steal your ideas. That was an AWESOME party. The Goofy Golf was so clever. We still have our Disney Countdown Dinners and I am running out of ideas.

Bella has really got her posing down now, hasn't she. I bet the next trip, she will have no hesitation with the characters.

I think my DH has officially been converted to Disney. I overheard my boys talking last weekend about where they wanted to go on our next vacation. They said they wanted to go on a cruise. I was in a panic. I don't swim very well and the thought of being stuck on a ship surrounded by water frightens me. Plus the fact that I would have to relax doesn't sound fun. Anyway, that night, I was telling my husband about the conversation. As soon as I said the boys wanted to go on a cruise, Lang said," Book a Disney Cruise!" I mean no hesitation whats so ever. I was shocked. Lang has wanted us to go on a cruise for the last 14 years and I kept putting it off. I figured he has been so good to go to Disney World so many times, he deserves his cruise. So, May 26, 2013, we will be on the Disney Dream for a 4 nights to the Bahamas.

Looks like another fun party. Your creative team is to be commended.
.

Such Fun .... as always. The Goofy golf had me cracking up and moaning...;)

Living in DIStown would be so much fun. We could all pitch in and having those parties often. :goodvibes

Happy Sunday.

Another fun party!
I especially liked the Chef Mickey hats and aprons. In fact I think I'll be looking into iron on transfers and chef outfits :thumbsup2

Got back Friday night so lots to catch up on!!

First off Congratulations to Jill & family & Memom for your princess:
Love the name!! Little Sophie Kate will get lots of love from her adorable big sisters.

Love all the AK pics. To think I was just there & wish I were still there. I spied a T-shirt I bought. (White with Mickey peace sign on it). It was my first purchase while we were there.

Wow they have LOTS of trees there at the holidays!! I did not realize that they have that many. Hopefully someday I will get to go during the holidays but with my job it is not a good time to go.

Love the party pics. What great ideas you have!!

Memom I wish I knew you wanted that France Minnie. I would have gotten it for you while I was there.

Well I have about 1500 pics to go through on my camera. I went through our mail & newspapers & went food shopping. Trying to get caught up before work tomorrow. Back to the real world.:(

Your party looks like it was a ton of fun! That's such a cute idea! Hahaha I definitely appreciated the 'corny' jokes. :rotfl:
