Lovely AKL pictures - we've never stayed there but always visit because it's one of our favourite places to go to relax. The lobby is beautiful and I could spend a long time outside watching the animals. Plus on our last couple of trips we've been to Boma and had good meals both times.

Brooklynn and I will be spending several hours at Jambo and Kidani on our non-park days this summer. Boma is so very good!

AKL really does have an amazingly beautiful lobby. I love all of the details in it!

We haven't seen the evening storyteller either, but we have seen the fire on in that fire pit!

I have seeing/hearing the storyteller high on my list for this summer. Surely in 13 days, I can make it happen!

I really enjoy AKL. So beautiful and so many things to look at. Love the marketplace with so many unusual items. I havent heard the storytellers either nor tried the night vision goggle viewing but also hope to try them in the future.

Good luck to Jill today at the Dr. Can't wait to hear if it is a new pirate or princess destined for DIS town!

Zawadi is one of my favorite resort shops. They have all the unique carvings and dinnerware to enjoy looking at. I know Brooklynn would love to do the night vision viewing.

I would also love to hear the story teller at AKL in the evening. Some day...

Sorry to hear you ran into some unpleasant people, uggghhhh... never fun! But at least you didn't have to stand around listening to him forever Love all the new 2012 merchandise you were looking at, hopefully it is still there when I go back, I'm lacking anything pertaining to 2012 and Disney Great pictures of AKL! Oh I miss it there so much, it's such a beautiful resort! And I never knew they had a storyteller there at night. Will have to try to see if I can catch him/her if I stay there again

What was funny was that right after we saw Mickey, that guy's family was held back so they could give Mickey a break. I can't imagine what he might have said after we left if he had to wait more than a few minutes.

AKL is truly beautiful. I feel so 'special' that I was able to stay there one time because of my daughter's sweet Mother's Day gift to me.

Loved the stroll around AKL! Such a beautiful place. I'd love to be rocking by that fire! I sure hope we can stay there some day.

You know, I think it is sad how rude people seem to be getting these days. Even if I was disgusted by people walking by me to move up the line, I would never in a million years open my mouth about it. It's just amazing how people seem to think that it is ok to say whatever you want whenever you want to. My mama taught me better than that, thank goodness!

I am a 'keep my mouth closed' person, too. It's not a struggle; it's just my personality. It's probably hard for a naturally vocal person to stay quiet when they want to speak. That guy was just pretty much making a fool of himself, and we really felt sorry that his little boy will be raised having to listen to that kind of stuff.

Don't you hate hearing those kinds of people, like that guy in your line?? I also hate hearing people scream at the kids or their spouses. I always think, if they treat them like that in public, how do they treat them in private??

It makes me uncomfortable to hear chaos going on in Disney World. Sure, you get tired and frustrated sometimes, but that's no excuse to just get to be ugly and say whatever you want in a negative or hurtful tone. I always think they just need to give themselves a time-out and go back to the room for some rest and try again later.

I really would love to have a job there. But I have a feeling I would spend my paycheck as soon as I got it

I still haven't been to AKL. That's probably next on the list. In 2010 we saw the Grand Floridian for the first time, last year it was the Poly, and this year it was the Boardwalk.

Find your way to AKL soon. I think you will love it!

Some people just have no filters and whatever they are thinking just spews forth - they think somehow that's going to get them somewhere. Nope, it will get you nothing but trouble.

I read an interesting article about how to be happier and one of the big things is to "let go" and not fret about small stuff. More people need to read it!!

Anyway, can't wait for Jill's baby news! I hope the little one cooperates!!

I don't get stressed very easily, and I sure don't sweat the small stuff. People who are more uptight about things probably think people like me just don't care, but that's not true. I have my own opinions, and I am fine with keeping them inside my head. On things I can't do anything about, what's the use in spouting off and making yourself look silly or maybe even mean. That's something people who see you will remember, and that's not how I want to be remembered. It has to be difficult, though, for people who by nature are more apt to speak their minds. I think things just spurt out before they have time to stop and think about how it looks and sounds, and I imagine they have regrets sometimes, too.

AKL is truly beautiful and we loved, loved our stay there and will be staying again at some point. I don't know about other's experiences, but the night vision thing wasn't very exciting for us. We saw absolutely nothing. I don't know if it was a bad night or if it often that way. It was still fun walking around at night and putting on the goggles, just be prepared!

Sophie is a beautiful name...she is lucky to to have such a loving family.

I'm so glad that she co-operated during the ultrasound and did the little squirm.

I wasn't able to find out when I was carrying Lexi...so she was a surprise. I felt so so blessed to have her when she came.
But it did mean we needed a whole new baby wardrobe.

I have been so busy...thought it would quiet a little after Easter but I'm still going...

I went and got Lexi's bike Thursday night and came home with some cute Mickey pj's from Walmart.
I also picked up a pair with Eeyore on them. (I thought of you when I saw them )
I bought the Bluray set of all the StarWars movies.
We are on a mission to get well acquainted with the characters we will come across at the StarWars weekend. Our plan is to watch them all by the time we go....wish us luck!
I also ordered custom transfers so I can make us tees to wear.

Lexi & I had so much fun seeing all those trees in AK. One of my favorite parts of the trip was seeing the characters in their holiday attire.
Unfortunately my DMom missed seeing them because she was back in the room with the flu.
A crazy trip, just as I was feeling better she wasn't.
Sadly we have little pics from that trip too cause we lost our photopass card.

Another reason to have a do over....you may just see us when you go Christmas 2013.

I'm going to take my DMom on a stroll to see our cities famous tulips downtown sometime this weekend.
People come from all around the world to see them.
Every kind and color you could imagine.




I start training my replacement on Monday. Time is going by so fast.

I didn't see that anyone mentioned seeing Chimpanzee. Did you see it?
We went last Friday and it was so cute, funny and a little sad but we enjoyed it.
I wanted to to reach into the screen and grab little Oscar...so adorable.

Well, we've got night vision on our list to get to eventually. We may/may not make it this summer. Even with a long trip, time slots start to fill up, and you start wondering if there will ever be a long enough trip to get in everything you want to. I think the answer is no. We still want to take the girls to SeaWorld, too, but who knows when that will happen???

They'll probably have a lot of fun blaming the innocent little sister for things that are done, undone, misplaced, etc.

I sure don't have FB at school, but I do have DIS. Lately, things have been way too busy to check in much. Lots of end-of-the-year testing and paperwork is going on. Between that, doing a TCAP teacher breakfast yesterday, and getting ready for the party today, I have been on the go all week long. I am ready for a day of rest.
