While looking at your pictures, I found myself getting excited about taking my own AK pictures -- especially in Africa -- I love all the detailing there!
Breakfast with Brooklyn's new elephant family looks quite tasty -- I am a dipper, too.
We're down to NINE weeks until we get to see it all in person again.
Marc and I grabbed our first breakfast at Pizzafari this past Spring Break and loved it!
Too cute that the girls had elephants dining with you, did you have any peanuts for them?
No peanuts. The elephants helped Brooklynn eat her French toast sticks. Turns out they are dippers, too. They picked those sticks up with their trunks and dipped them in the syrup, never losing one drop. It was pretty amazing.
We did find a bike...but she will have to wait til Friday to use it.

It was too big to fit in the car with her in the backseat so we will go back and get it Wed or Thurs night when she is at sleep away camp with her class.
She is very excited. I was thrilled to find some rubber boots yesterday that actually fit her big feet.
We have all of the list checked off, and it is quite the list. She is going to have to bring the rolling duffle bag we use at Disney to hold everything.
The kids will certainly be prepared.
Is it crazy to say I will miss her, even thought its only for 2 nights.
Oh you have my vote for the name Aaron!!!

I adore mine!!!
We have had lunch at Pizzafari but never breakfast. Love the decor. It's so colorful and so much to look at.
Our favorite breakfast in AK is with Donald & Friends at Tusker House.
What a cute elephant family the girls got that morning.
Well it seems I will be making some ADR changes today.
Apparently Lexi can't find anything on the Coral Reef menu that she likes now. (
she did before, but not anymore)
We discussed trying Cape May that day but $40 is a bit much to spend on a buffet where she will have some chicken nuggets, mac n cheese and dessert.
It is so different when I'm paying OOP.

I checked the park hours and they have changed since I wrote them down.
So I'm going to cancel the Playhouse bkfst too cause the only reason I booked it was to get in the park early and Lexi isn't really interested in those Characters anyway.
Decisions...decisions what to do?
I think I may just got back to Quick Service choices and only keep Liberty Tree, Kona and WGPC.
Have you tried 50's Prime Time?
Enjoy your Sunday!
Sometimes it would be nice to have a truck for hauling big things around, but paying the gas for it all the days you don't need to haul things would be a negative.
We love a Tusker House breakfast, too!
We mostly do counter service, and it's more than enough. We spread 2-3 table service meals throughout a long trip, and that's plenty of eating for us.
We have been to Prime Time several times. We enjoy it. It's not a top five or anything, but if you haven't been, it's a good experience. Your mom will enjoy looking at all of the 50's stuff.
I can't believe how early you guys were able to get into the parks during your trip! That's so awesome!
I always forget where we went on our trip too, until the pictures remind me!
Some parks opened at 7 all week while we were there. We took advantage of that.
I start out taking good notes, but after 2-3 days, I fizzle out. I rely on the pictures and Jill's better memory for help when recalling things for the reports.
I love thinking of it that way!

Mike was a good kid, just extremely "busy."
You guys are such pros, even at the busiest time of year. If I was just looking at the pictures and not knowing exactly when you guys were down there, I would never think it was right around New Years!
When people get scared of going at busy times, we try to reassure them that they can still have a great time, and they can still find very quiet places on Disney property all throughout the day. You just have to do a little planning - and maybe a little sacrificing of morning sleep. Afternoon naps/rest make up for it, though, so it's worth it, as far as we are concerned.
Thanks for the advice. We are getting really excited about our upcoming trip. It has been three years since our last trip. We will be at Pop on the day that AoA opens. We're hoping that the bridge will open too, but if not we would like to find a way to get over there. I read somewhere that there was possibly a way to walk from the 50s side of the resort. I'm not sure if that is true or not. I'll have to let you know what we find out!
ETA: I just looked on Google Earth and it does appear there is a sidewalk that goes all the way around Hourglass Lake. You can tell the pictures are a little behind on the construction, but the sidewalk on the 80s side is completed all the way to the other side of the bridge. It will be interesting to see if it is not blocked at any point.
We'll get over there some way, be it walking, going from another park on the bus, or getting a cab. I can't wait to take so many new pictures!
I don't know if they will undo the bridge - surely they will eventually, though. Maybe when the first section opens or maybe when it's totally completed.
Thank you for the link to the AoA pictures, we hope to look around there for real this summer and maybe have some food too.
I didn't know that Pizzafari did breakfast, we have been a few times for lunch
I wanted to share my DDs excitement with you. We have visited our local
Disneystore today and they both came away with a small Pascal plush toy

They have been wanting to try and get him since the movie first came out, but he sold out extremely quick. We even tried to find him in Florida last summer, but no joy!
I have 2 very happy girls and I know for certain who will be joining them with their other plush toys in bed tonight.
We're planning to check out the AoA food court, too.
I love that a cute little plush animal can bring so much happiness to a family. We know that firsthand. Brooklynn falls in love with her animals, and her face lights up when she gets a new one.
I read the other day that Restaurantosaurus has a shrimp po boy so it is now where we will eat our AK lunch in October! We love Pizzafari too though...love all of your pictures! There are so many details in there that only us DIS obsessed people would even notice.
Enjoy your Sunday, MeMom!
I do get some looks when I am taking pictures of snails and snakes on walls.

I had a CM come up to me once and tell me to come and look at a Hidden Mickey so I could get a picture of it. He didn't think I was crazy at all.
John has had the shrimp po boy at Resaurantosaurus. He ordered it with the sauce on the side. He really enjoyed it!
I was going to tell her I thought John got that, but I wasn't sure. Glad you chimed in.
Enjoyed your early stroll through AK pictures! As always, makes me feel as if I'm right there walking along.
I'd be much more motivated for morning walks if they were all in Disney World.
I know I take some kind of common/nothing pictures, but my goal is to make the readers feel like they are walking along with us, and that means walking by common/nothing things sometimes.
We leave on the 27th and won't be able to go to any parks. I will for sure be on the lookout for DISers.
We get there on the 23rd, so we'll work out something between the 23rd and 27th before you leave.
I tried to do a quote and it didn't work so well.
In quoting pictures or words, just be sure you have [ QUOTE ] with no spaces in the front and [ / QUOTE ] with no spaces at the end.
