All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

Love the trees! We didn't see them in 2006. I don't know if they weren't there or I just passed them by.

The character pictures are great. Michelle and Chelsea had some great character interaction with Pocahontas. She really got into the character.

Those themed Chirstmas trees are sooooo awesome!!:thumbsup2 I love the Elvis record hanging from Lilo's and the bow at the top of Minnie's! They are all so amazing! Thanks for sharing that!

I also love the girls eating with their elephant family! So cute!:goodvibes Looks like a fun time was being had by all the Dis-ers

Have you tried 50's Prime Time?

I agree with MeMom! The food isn't the best but the atmosphere is worth it! Last time I was there I had to hold a sugar packet against the wall with my nose and be scolded infront of everyone.... My mum also loves it because she likes to look at all the cool retro stuff. I bet you guys would have fun!

I got so behind... but caught up again! :goodvibes I always enjoy looking at your pictures. The holiday outfits on the characters are always so adorable! Love the Pocahontas and Meeko pictures, they've always been favorites of mine!

Oh, I love that nemo tree! I just love nemo. :lovestruc

Love the holiday pictures and all the trees. It is such a fun time to be in wurhld.

I do, too. :)
I have enjoyed having the Nemo theme in my classroom all year.

Yes, Christmas in Disney Wuhld is fun. We'll be home for Christmas this year, so maybe we'll shoot for 2013 for Christmas again.

Love all the pics from CMM! Those trees are too cute! And I love the characters in their Christmas costumes! That hat is definitely Brooklyn! :thumbsup2

I too am sad that the Pochahontas show is no longer running. We never got to see it but I really wanted to. She is one of my favorite characters. Even though the movie is not very historically accurate, I still like it, and it still has educational value. I wish there were more references to her in the parks.

Brooklynn is having a safari birthday party in August. She may need that hat for it. ;)

The show didn't draw big crowds, but it's nice to have some things that don't. It was a cute show, and I am glad we got to see it.

My youngest is hoping to see Pocohantas this time. She has only seen her once before. In fact, she just bought the Pocohantas Barbie from our newly opened Disney Store. :)

Wow! I can't believe how many people are there! That is some major crowd.

We were back where Lion King lets out. We didn't see the show, because they were saying where we were in line was not for the first show and possibly nt for the second. We weren't going to wait in line for something three shows away, since we have seen it numerous times.

I hope you guys get to see Pocahontas. :goodvibes

I love what a trooper Bella was with the characters on this trip! :thumbsup2

I also love that Donald had a ring of holly on his hat!

Donald was in a festive mood - no griping, whining, pouting, or meltdowns. :thumbsup2

What fun with all the characters! The year we went over the holidays we didn't do the meet & greets, but we had fun looking at their trees, they are all so unique.

Scary stuff! I hope all is going at least a little smoothly now!

They were fun to look at. You'll have to remember them for your next holiday trip.

All caught up! I'm making good use of my library time in between classes ;)

Your Disney store is a lot nicer than the one closest to me(about 30-40 mins away). Ours is kind of small and doesn't have a huge amount of stuff. There's a nicer one down the street from where my mom works but that's an hour away. Maybe some time this summer I'll go to work with her and borrow the car to go to the Disney store :upsidedow I really wish there was one at the mall in Providence so I could try to get a job there this summer.

I love all of the AK pictures! We had such a good AK day this year. It was probably one of our best Disney days ever.

I'm excited to find out what Jill's having :goodvibes When my mom was pregnant she didn't want to know, but my dad did. I think my mom was the only one who didn't know. But she kind of figured it out when my grandma(dad's mom) gave her girl diapers at the baby shower. Oops :rotfl:

I used to be like that. I still usually dip my fries, but sometimes I'll just put the ketchup on top. I could never do that when I was little though  I even had to do it with pasta. I had to have my pasta and my sauce in separate bowls :confused3 I have no explanation. I was just strange :rotfl:

That would be nice to have a job at Disney Store for getting discounts. ::yes::

We'll know tomorrow. Jill has been so anxious to find out. If this baby doesn't cooperate, she will not be happy with him/her. Hopefully, it will not look so much like an alien this time.

Good for the characters being fun. I know it's not easy for them to be 'on' all the time.

Maybe you can see the trees on your next December trip. :thumbsup2

It's fun getting to ride a ride with a DIS friend or two. We're trying to work out seeing a show, or at least part of one, with some DISers this summer.

I want to see Thumper!!!

Animal Kingdom is the place for that. :)

I got so behind... but caught up again! :goodvibes I always enjoy looking at your pictures. The holiday outfits on the characters are always so adorable! Love the Pocahontas and Meeko pictures, they've always been favorites of mine!

Looks like Pocahontas has quite a following!

Great pictures from CMM! I especially love the ones with Chip & Dale! The girls look so happy and so did our favorite little chipmunks :) It is a shame though that the Pocahontas stage area is being unused. I hate when Disney abandons areas like that. Just like the original ImageWorks at the Imagination pavilion. So sad :( Well, moving on... love the pictures of the trees around CMM, they have some adorable decorations over there :goodvibes

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Those are some great character pictures! CMM rarely gets any love from me, but I need to go there.

The Pocahontas show was perfect for little ones, and sitting down for a few minutes and enjoying something like that was nice. I would love for them to bring it - or something similar - back.

I hope you get back there. :thumbsup2

I forgot to mention that while we were waiting in line for Mickey, there was a guy behind us with his wife and son who was so stressed out with anyone who was walking in front of us to go and meet their party. I'd say maybe three people at different times came through to pass us and meet their families up ahead, and every time he vocally protested that idea. He sounded like a four year old. :sad2: I guess he didn't think that when his wife took his son off to the restroom and had to come back and meet him that she, too, was passing people in the line on the way back to him.

You really had to be there to understand how childish he sounded, but we were all glad we were not with him, didn't know him, and certainly that we didn't have to go home with him!

Since my next picture is Everest,

I am guessing we went here for John to ride as a single rider.

I can't recall.

IMG_7568.jpg

Looks like Brooklynn was in for a pin trading opportunity.

IMG_7570.jpg

We began making our way out of the park, we saw some spoonbills.

IMG_7572.jpg

Keeping guests up-to-date on how things were with each park.
So far, everything was open.

Bella working on a strawberry bar.
I think we pretty much get one of these every time we go to Animal Kingdom.

IMG_7574.jpg

From Animal Kingdom, we took the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

The first stop is always Zawadi Marketplace. I didn't get pictures, which means I was probably watching Bella. I can't take pictures very well and keep my eye on that little bolt of lightning.

The lobby was lovely, as always.

There was a group of big shots in the lobby discussing the state of things. The lady seemed to be the biggest big shot, and the others were taking notes on things that needed to be done and fixed.

Let's go outside.

The teacher/learner in me really enjoys reading the informational signs at parks and resorts.

Where am I standing right now?

IMG_7595.jpg

Right here.

IMG_7596.jpg

I still have not made it to hear the evening storyteller. I am hoping we can do that this summer.

That's it for right now. Next time, we get food, and Trent and Jarvis arrive. :goodvibes

Lovely AKL pictures :goodvibes - we've never stayed there but always visit because it's one of our favourite places to go to relax. The lobby is beautiful and I could spend a long time outside watching the animals. Plus on our last couple of trips we've been to Boma and had good meals both times.

AKL really does have an amazingly beautiful lobby. I love all of the details in it!

We haven't seen the evening storyteller either, but we have seen the fire on in that fire pit!

I really enjoy AKL. So beautiful and so many things to look at. Love the marketplace with so many unusual items. I havent heard the storytellers either nor tried the night vision goggle viewing but also hope to try them in the future.

Good luck to Jill today at the Dr. Can't wait to hear if it is a new pirate or princess destined for DIS town!

I would also love to hear the story teller at AKL in the evening. Some day...

Can't wait to hear Jill's news!

Sorry to hear you ran into some unpleasant people, uggghhhh... never fun! But at least you didn't have to stand around listening to him forever :) Love all the new 2012 merchandise you were looking at, hopefully it is still there when I go back, I'm lacking anything pertaining to 2012 and Disney :teeth: Great pictures of AKL! Oh I miss it there so much, it's such a beautiful resort! And I never knew they had a storyteller there at night. Will have to try to see if I can catch him/her if I stay there again :thumbsup2

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum

Loved the stroll around AKL! Such a beautiful place. I'd love to be rocking by that fire! :cloud9: I sure hope we can stay there some day.

You know, I think it is sad how rude people seem to be getting these days. Even if I was disgusted by people walking by me to move up the line, I would never in a million years open my mouth about it. It's just amazing how people seem to think that it is ok to say whatever you want whenever you want to. My mama taught me better than that, thank goodness!

I'm so excited to hear Jill's news!! So fun!!

Don't you hate hearing those kinds of people, like that guy in your line?? I also hate hearing people scream at the kids or their spouses. I always think, if they treat them like that in public, how do they treat them in private??

That would be nice to have a job at Disney Store for getting discounts. ::yes::

We'll know tomorrow. Jill has been so anxious to find out. If this baby doesn't cooperate, she will not be happy with him/her. Hopefully, it will not look so much like an alien this time.

I really would love to have a job there. But I have a feeling I would spend my paycheck as soon as I got it :rotfl:

I still haven't been to AKL. That's probably next on the list. In 2010 we saw the Grand Floridian for the first time, last year it was the Poly, and this year it was the Boardwalk.

Head on over to Jill's FB... I don't want to spill the beans on the DIS...

And, Congratulations Jill and family!!!!! So excited for you.:banana:

Great AKL pics!! I'm so excited to get back there in October!

Some people just have no filters and whatever they are thinking just spews forth - they think somehow that's going to get them somewhere. Nope, it will get you nothing but trouble.

I read an interesting article about how to be happier and one of the big things is to "let go" and not fret about small stuff. More people need to read it!!

Anyway, can't wait for Jill's baby news! I hope the little one cooperates!!
