All I Want For Christmas Is an Okapi, a Dinosaur, a Herd of Elephants and ...

We don't get to ride Small World much; not one of Declan's favourites. In fact the last time we rode we had to force him on. :lmao:

I'm back! We finished school last week, and I'm going to TRY to get caught up in the next few days...or weeks! :)
Can't wait to hear more about your adventures!

Going to St. Pete tomorrow so I may have a chance to drop in at A of A for lunch!!!

I love the last room with all the dolls dressed in white.

Yes, it is very pretty.

Love that ride!! My brother is a music major and he hummed that song our whole trip. He kept trying to think of something else, but always came back to that one. :)

That song is my ringtone for Jill, so every time she calls, I get to hear it.

I love IASW! We somehow didn't get to go on it this past trip, and I really miss it. Definitely need to go on next time!

It's a classic. Believe it or not, I think there actually was one trip that we did not go on Small World, too!

Small world is just one of those rides that you HAVE to ride. It wouldn't be a Disney trip without it! Love all the pictures, especially the one of the tiger with the umbrella.

Small World is one of the themes Jill is thinking of doing Sophie's nursery in, so we'll be on the lookout for ideas while we are in WDW.

I love "Small World". In fact, I video'd a lot of it last time we were there.

I do videos sometimes, but we never seem to get them on here to show, so I have kind of backed off on doing them.

Enjoyed my boat ride through the small world. I agree-It's a classic, and doesn't seem like a trip unless you do IASW! :)

It is a happy boat ride. :goodvibes

If I weren't in a professional situation I would probably try to show her a picture of Jill and get one in return!:lmao: I did ask if she spelled it with a double "n" but she said no....I just mentioned that I knew of a little girl who spelled it that way!;) I actually have 2 regulars who have kids named Brooklyn! One is a boy though...but it is a super cute name! :)

All I can think of while looking at your IASW pictures is my niece Mia on the phone talking about WDW and her singing the song to me in her own styling. "It's a smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll world! Its a smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll world! It's a smaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaalll world.....world, world world! Smaaaall world, world, in the woooooooorrrrrrrlllllllldddddd!" I wish I had her on tape! :rotfl: I can't wait to ride it with her! It's fun riding vicariously through your pictures!

Sounds like she and Bella would have fun together. Bella is in the song-creating business these days, too. ;)

HM is not my favorite, either, but my princess loves it. I do really like the new queue. The backwards bit is a favorite part on Spaceship Earth, too.

Great IASW pictures, as usual. Mine are never that good. I love riding, but then I like to do something else right after, to get that song out of my head. Just looking at your pics started that ear worm again!

Well, our Cinderella (the youth musical) days are over, and the kids did an amazing job. Our lead had the most perfect Cinderella hands, always posed just like the original Disney princess. And she was inspiring to watch with all her sweet little fans. For the wrap party, I made tons (we fed 250) of savory & sweet treats. You can just imagine my kitchen! And you bet I double-checked that the kitchen door was closed whenever I went out, so no concerned neighbor would call Officer Friendly over to check on a flapping door. :rolleyes1

Yippee for teens!!!!!! :woohoo:

Video would probably be better in there than my blurry pictures. Plus, we could hear the music. :thumbsup2

Treats for 250 - wow!

Awww I love IASW!!! I can't choose a favorite room, they're all so cute!

I enjoy it, too, but some people consider it a form of torture.

We don't get to ride Small World much; not one of Declan's favourites. In fact the last time we rode we had to force him on. :lmao:

Our guys don't much like it, but we get them on it occasionally.

Thanks for that "ride" on IASW. Sure wish I was there right now!!

Your next ride will be a honeymoon ride. :)

I'm back! We finished school last week, and I'm going to TRY to get caught up in the next few days...or weeks! :)
Can't wait to hear more about your adventures!

Glad you are getting some DIS time. I have been in a workshop all day -lots of reading, so I don't know if I will be doing any more DISing tonight. I am tired of reading.

Going to St. Pete tomorrow so I may have a chance to drop in at A of A for lunch!!!

That would be fun! :goodvibes

Every time I go on IASW, I have to take an obnoxious amount of photos. It's like I'm compelled to.....must......take......pictures!!!

We may be two peas in a pod because I also love the blue hippo & monkey room in IASW and am not too crazy about Haunted Mansion. Although you lose me on the backwards part... I really don't like that. I always feel like we're going to tip over.

My goodness the family really did expand on that trip! :thumbsup2 I am still tempted to buy "stuffies" even at my advanced age... they are so cute!!

Now of course I have the song in my head. :sad2:

I kind of like it but if it keep me up tonight......

So close..... Can't believe it is this month. I don't get there until the very end of the month ( actually check in the 1 of the next month ) but Since I have Friday the 29th and 30 th off and may make pit stop on the way down at a friends, for me vacation starts this month. :cool1:

Hi! :wave2: I'm finally all caught up. I got reeeeally far behind during the last couple weeks of school(over three weeks ago :rolleyes1) and it took me forever to catch up.

I remember watching the fireworks from the webcame on NYE and texting you to say that I could hear you guys, and then I heard you say something like "Christine can hear us." :rotfl:

I was looking at all of the shopping pictures, thinking that I want to do some Disney shopping...then I remembered that I still have about $70 left on a Disney gift card that my mom got me for my birthday  I'll be doing some online shopping soon :thumbsup2

My summer plans have changed a lot. I was originally looking for a job, but then I noticed that a class I was signed up for in the fall was also offered in the summer. I took a class with that professor last semester and I really liked him, but his class was SO hard. I understood the material, but there was a LOT of material on each test. Since I was taking three other classes, I'd never have enough time to study everything. I've never studied that hard in my life, but I still didn't do very well on the tests. So, even though the summer class is at an accelerated pace(because it's only 6 weeks), if I'm just taking that one class I should be fine. The class starts July 2 and ends right before I leave for Vermont. Then my semester starts right after I get back at the end of August. So now my plan is to look for a job during my winter break, which I'll hopefully keep through the spring semester and the summer.

To occupy myself between now and July 2, I'm working on cleaning my room and cleaning out the basement. And it looks like I might start semi-regularly babysitting Caleb again! When I was babysitting in the fall, it was only about an hour a day so I was doing it for free. They've only payed me once since I usually won't let them  I feel bad taking money for helping out family. But if I babysit Caleb this summer it'll probably be for 5 or 6 hours at a time, so they want to pay me since they know I was originally looking for a job. So if I babysit a couple days a week it'll work out for everyone, I'll make a little money, and I'll get to hang out with one of my favorite little boys :goodvibes

Me, too. I don't get good pictures, though, so I am going to go back to at least a little video this time, I think.

We make fun of Brooklynn and her animals, but we think they're cute, too, of course. Bella has certain things she likes, but she doesn't buy as many as Brooklynn. Brooklynn would bring all of them home with her, if she could!

I looked on ebay, and did you know (I didn't) that there are some plush Small World animals?

Now of course I have the song in my head. :sad2:

I hope it didn't keep you awake. Sleep is a good thing. :)
I was trying to sleep in my workshop yesterday - especially after my delicious sub sandwich lunch. ;)

We are down to the home stretch. I have got to get my camp shopping done, do camp, then be ready to head to the magic! :wizard:

I'm not only tempted to buy the "stuffies" but I do!!!
At my advanced age....

And I buy the little packets of tiny 'mystery' figurines and am quite thrilled with them.

That babysitting job sounds like the perfect set-up for you - you get to go to school and have some money! :thumbsup2

We'll have to rely on other DISers for our NYE fun this year. I'll be watching on the webcam, too. :cool1:

Enjoy spending that Disney card money. Let us know if you get something fun! :goodvibes
