Awwwww, Caroline is such a cutie!

Looks like you are going to have some awesome meals! Plus I love the Vera! You have me wishing for a new one, might have to venture over to ebay.....

Yes, and check their website as well. This pattern, the Meditteranean White, is one of the patterns on sale. The hipster is only $33! :thumbsup2

I just wondered over here to check out your PTR. I love, love, love your ADRs. What a nice long trip you have planned. Sounds like a blast. I need to do some serious catching up, but I want to wait until I can see your pics! I need the "full" effect!

Hi there! Thanks for joining me!

I am excited about our ADRs as well - I think we have a nice mix of things. We wanted to try places we've not been before, and there are quite a few of those on that list! :thumbsup2

:goodvibes Have a great week!

Hi there! Nice to see you!

The Triathlon went really well - this weekend I just crashed. I worked about 12 days straight leading up to and then including the Tri last weekend, so on Saturday I didn't even shower until about 5 pm. :thumbsup2 It was so nice to rest and take a rest. We're already planning for 2010, which is hard to believe, but I am the type of person that likes to plan as much as possible ahead of time so I am not overwhelmed as the date drawers nearer. :thumbsup2 Thanks for asking how it went, I appreciate it!

I really like your list of ADRs, there are some really good meals planned! :thumbsup2 I was just wondering, if you split up in adults and kids, are you a kid or an adult? Considering you are going with your aunt, I guess you would belong to the second generation.... ;)

Caroline is such a sweet baby, how wonderful that she did not mind travelling to meet you and your parents! :goodvibes

Thank you for the sweet words about Caroline! She is our joy in our family. There were a few baby meltdown moments, but all in all, she did a great job!

I am an adult, I'm 27. My sister and I (she is 18) are going with my aunt, uncle and their kids. My aunt and uncle are going to duck out for a few meals just the two of them, and so when they do that (like the night we go to Sci Fi) my sister and I will take the kids to eat. The kids are 3, 9, 14 and 16. :wizard:

Have a great night!
Katie

Oh, I knew that you were an adult in "normal life" I was just wondering wether you counted as an adult with regard to those split meals. Sounds like you and your sister will have a lot of fun with the other kids at SciFi and Ohana. :thumbsup2

Good eating! We are only making two table service plans for that trip, because we're going cheap. We booked Crystal Palace for the 28th and since none of us have ever tried Mama Melrose, I just booked us a lunch there for NYE. I know it doesn't get rave reviews, but we're easy to please, and we like to try all things for ourselves. We may or may not keep it as time gets closer, but since we'll be staying at Pop, I thought we might go over to Hollywood Studios to do some things early, eat lunch, and then that will leave all afternoon for rest and whatever before we go to the Poly for a late, late night.

Oh duh! :flower3: Silly me!

Well, on Sunday (the night before we leave) we have 2 reservations, once for6 at OHana and 2 for Jiko. So either my aunt and uncle will go just them, or my sister and I will go, etc. I am hungry just thinking about it!

Just precious!

Thank you! We sure think so. :goodvibes

Crystal Palace is one of my favorites - great choice! I just love that one. And I think trying Mama Melrose is a great idea; I sometimes think I pay too much attention to what other people think about places and should just try them before I make up my mind. You'll have to let me know what you think!

I LOVE POP...my goddaughter and I will go together next fall (hopefully for free dining!!) and I think we are going to stay there. Her parents have DVC points but then we couldn't do free dining - and honestly, I love POP. The theming is great, it's comfortable; and for the time you spend in the room, it's perfect. :thumbsup2

So last night, I made our reservations for the Keys to the Kingdom tour. :thumbsup2 Awesome!!

My original plan was to take the tour on Monday, the 28th. However, when I called, the Tour is closed from the 25th - Jan 2nd. Thankfully we are there the 3rd, so our tour is Sunday, January 3rd at 8:30AM. We then have lunch at Columbia Harbour House.

Just my sister and I are doing this tour. It's to commemorate her high school graduation, which was this past May. (Hey, better late than never, huh? :rotfl:)

Counting down the days now...getting closer and closer!!

How great you get to go on the tour!!

I really would love to do that. Maybe one day when it is just my husband and I :confused3

Also, we are eating at CHH for lunch at MK too!! Have you eaten there before for counter service?

Hey there Katie! How are things with you and your family?

I'll for sure let you know how the tour goes. I'll be updating Facebook while I am down there too. :thumbsup2 There are quite a few tours, and this is one of them where kids under 16 are not allowed. I think that's because you go beneath the MK into the tunnels and they don't want any little kids seeing Mickey without his head! :scared1: But it's a reasonable price, I thought; for 2 of us, it was $130 (including tax) and you each get a lunch voucher for Columbia Harbour House. There are all different price points; check em out! The next one I want to do is at Epcot, also a behind-the-scenes.

We have never eaten at CHH. Weird, I know. The theme of this trip is "do things you haven't done before." We always seem to go to the same places and do the same rides, which is fun and I always have a good time...but it's nice to spice it up and add some new things too. :woohoo:

Keys to the Kingdom is really great! But you don't get a lunch voucher (unless they have changed the tour), you actually get to eat at CHH with the whole group in a rope offed area. Very nice! When you check in for the tour at Guest Relations inside the MK, you are asked to order what you want for lunch (I think it was the full CHH menu to choose from) and then it will be served to you when your group arrives.

We did the 8:30 tour as well and that was a wonderful time slot (won't spoil why), but make sure to arrive with plenty of time to spare to check in, deal with your lunch order and then experience Main Street and the hub without anyone around. I think we arrived around 8 am for our 8:30 tour and that was perfect! :thumbsup2

Awesome - thank you SO MUCH for the great info!! :thumbsup2 That is so nice that your meal is ready for you when you get there, and you have a special place to eat it. Sweet!

I was thinking we would get there early, too. We'll be staying at Saratoga during that time (split stay), so I figured if we were at the bus stop at 7:15AM that would get us there in time. The busses are kind of a gamble, but they come to Saratoga quite often so we shouldn't have an issue.

Thank you again!!
Katie

I have only heard wonderful things about the Keys to the Kingdom Tour -- I know you will just love it, Katie!

Thank you, Jackie! I am very excited to do it. I'm just glad that we're staying long enough this time so we can go on it. I guess it makes sense that they don't want tours on what is possibly the biggest crowd week at WDW, but we're lucky we got in. :thumbsup2

So if you remember (and maybe you don't, and that's OK too :lmao:), I am putting together travel / fun kits for the kids. I have been STALKING the $1 section at Target - most times, they have some cute cheap things for kids, like pencils and pens, temporary tattoos, etc. The other day, I picked up a few $1 books for the 3-year old.

However...I am still on the fence if I should give them to them at the airport OR do I have them shipped to the resort so the kids can open them when we check in?? It would be nice to have them on the plane, but they could use them on the way back too. I was just thinking it would be neat to have some presents in our room for them to open up when we arrive. Also - I could give them to them on Christmas, but since we don't give gifts to all the cousins (there are 20 of us), I don't want the other kids to think they're being slighted. Make sense? :goodvibes

I just don't know what to do - help me decide! :yay: TIA!

:thumbsup2 Nice going. Perfect timing! You will love this tour. I took it a few years ago in early January and that was a perfect time. There is a lot of standing and I was really grateful that it wasn't hot out. I learned a lot and really enjoyed our tour guide. The lunch was also really good. It's a great way to spend the morning/early afternoon. Enjoy!
