All I need is a Deluxe Pin for our trip....

SIIIIIIIIIIGGGGGGGGH!

So, we are heading down in Sept for our 5th Disney vacation.
I have always wanted to stay at the Polynesian..DREAMED of it actually. However, it just never seems to fit within our budget and TRUST ME we are on a strict budget with saving each month for our normal family savings for things around the house, emergencies, etc. I refuse to budge on that because it is important to be prepared as BEST as you can for life and its situations.

So, for our budget we always stay under $3,000 for our vacations, and that includes everything.

I have received pins this entire time, and even stayed at Value, Moderate and one time WL.

I am praying and desperatly wanting a 35% pin for the Poly at least ONCE so we can switch and have my dreams happen!!

Anyone see any pin codes for that around Sept? We are going the 21-29th!!

Not sure if this will make you feel better but I got a 35% off pin no blackkout for the rest of the year. I was so excited. I booked 1/2 my stay at poly with 35% off and the other half at BC CL with 30% off (summeer discount pin wouldn't work on CL).

So far soooo good! Well the more I read about the Poly the more hesitant I became that it wasn't the resort for me. I am not into nostalga there etc but I ttoally get that others are. Few friends came back who did not have a pin and really ripped the room they had. So even with the pin it was STILL expensive (1050 for 3 nights garden view, no club). So after SOME debate I switched resorts.

So the good news is the pin exists out there. But honestly once you even get it, there are a lot of restrictions on it in terms of resort availability. Worked out for me in the end but even WITH a pin I felt the poly to be overpriced and I am not afraid to spend money but I was concerned over the perceived value of it for me...

We're staying there this summer. However, we are using our AAA discount. My DH & I noticed that most times the Poly has the smaller discount than the other deluxe resorts. When we got the 40% off WL, the Poly was only 25%. The current summer discount is up to 25% off Deluxes. However, Poly is only 5%, but BC is 25%. Was thinking of switching to BC, but decided to stick with Poly & the AAA discount while our children are small since it seems Poly never gets the big discount. Although some do not like the dark rooms, we happen to enjoy the ambiance of the Poly. (It'll be the closest I will get to Hawaii. LOL) Once we're paying adult prices for our children, we'll need to stay someone else.
