I just read on a blog that our favorite All Hands on Deck platter is no longer available through room service. It is now a "premium" item sold as an in room gift.

Somebody, anybody, please tell me this isn't true. Tell me that emails and letters were sent to DCL after this announcement in Jan, and they listened to their loyal patrons and changed the menu back to it's original perfection.

Not true. They tried to take it away.

Here's the thread that move generated:

Ahhh. Thank you ladies. I honestly don't think I've ever, literally, breathed a sigh of relief until just now. I feel silly for caring this much about cheese, but it's one thing my husband and I enjoy together. Maybe there's something about sharing a plate, but nevertheless, I'm so happy they fixed the "error ".

And I did search All hands on deck before I began the thread. I was so discombobulated, maybe I spelled it wrong. Thank you Princess.

If you are a lover of cheese, then I highly recommend you take the time to read the thread PrincessShmoo linked. If I'm remembering correctly, there was some good humor in there.
