All good things come to those who wait - July 2010

It would appear that I have taken way too many photos:rotfl: So it is taking time to get them loaded up think it would be better just to do a day at a time. We have ordered our photopass cd :thumbsup2 Hopefully that will come soon.

Well I need to go to work now but I will post this evening with our MK day. What at great day we had :goodvibes

Port Orleans Riverside looks lovely. We have never stayed onsite but plan to do at least a few days this year. Can't wait to see more.

It was so nice we are going to stay again on our next trip. Have no ticker for next year as we are going on the disney dream 2012 and doing a land stay too :cool1: Do you have a planned trip or are you planning just now?

Did you feel like you were ready for MK the next day? I would think you might still be "recovering"! ;)

I can imagine how, after all that time, waiting on ME to "get you there" would be a little frustrating. :upsidedow Was POR your first choice of resort? It sounds (and looks) peaceful. :)

No sadly not planning at the moment. Just after our last trip I gave up my job to do Primary Teaching at Jordanhill in Glasgow. Actually I have my very first day teaching tomorrow! I have a Primary 5 class in Falkirk. Very excited but nervous. Wanted to teach for so long and now it is finally here!

I get a job this year for my probation but after that I have to find another one. In the current climate that is going to be tough but when I do get one we will be starting to plan another trip. Was secretly hoping for 2012 but have a horrible feeling it might be 2013 :sad1:

Get my Disney fix by reading about others adventures!!!

The Disney Dream sounds lovely but will never happen for us - I hate boats!!!!

Definatley :thumbsup2 Our body clocks were still in UK timezone so we are always up mega early on the first day.

It was a little annoying with the kids overly tired but majorily excited at the same time to wait but once we were on the road it was lots of fun  POR was our first moderate choice as we liked the layout, walks and location on site. It was very nice and very relaxing when walking around the resort :goodvibes

Good luck for tomorrow with your class :goodvibes You will have dreamt of this moment for a while it's reality now. Our schools go back on Thursday so tomorrow is the last day of summer hols. Jordanhill is not too far from us. Your next trip will be here before you know it, planning is great fun :thumbsup2

We all were awake bright and breezy at 5:00am that was plenty time to get over to MK and make our ADR at 8:05am in CRT :cool1:. All dressed and ready to go we took this snap as we left room 9506 by this time is was 6:45am

It was time to head over to the bus stop and wait for a bus to MK. The main building was not far from our room. We did not wait too long for a bus to arrive. 7:10am and we were heading to MK :yay: This was a vision we had in our heads since Sept 2009 now it was actually happening :cloud9: After a short wait at the entrance we were heading towards that magical vision

The kids liked this board on our way to the entrance

The travelling was all worth it now

Breakfast was calling and DD1 was rather excited about meeting a certain princess

DSCF8824.jpg

Next up meeting the princesses and what did we have for breakfast ...................................

DD1 enjoyed her meet and greet with Cinderella :) We took this photo opportunity on our way to the top of the castle

DSCF8825.jpg

All seated and kids given their wands, sword and wishing stars it was time to have our breakfast and meet the rest of the princesses

DSCF8829.jpg

We decided to get a selection of both savoury and sweet breakfasts and the kids choose french toast

Our host was excellent and really attentive, that made our experience a really enjoyable one. One thing that sticks out was when she asked if there was anything more we would like and our request being for bacon, our host brought this and one phrase we recall “don’t tell piglet” :rotfl: the kids loved that it got them excited about going to fantasy land :dance3:

The princesses arrived at our table

Next update where did we go first, did DD2 fall asleep ..........................

What a gorgeous family! I'm really enjoying your TR. It's nice to see such a positive experience at CRT. I've only read the negative and it's kept me from bothering with it. I may have to think about it again. :confused3 Excited to see some more!

:wave2:Thanks for your lovely comments. We have been to CRT previously for breakfast and dinner and those experiences were not as positive that didn't put us off going again as we figure early entry, the experience for the kids, meeting the princesses and singing along with them weighs up the negative sections. Our host was really attentive and our seating location within the castle made it even better this visit :goodvibes

We left the castle at 9:00am and were so in commando mode, it certainly paid off that morning :thumbsup2 First up was dumbo, we walked right up and were at the front of the queue waiting to ride. We took a sneak peek at the fantasyland extension, you don’t half get a good view from dumbo. Here we are waiting and riding

Now we decided to go over and do winnie the pooh as there was no wait. DD1 certainly enjoyed bouncing with tigger

DSCF8855.jpg

DSCF8857.jpg

As we walked past snow white’s carriages they were empty so we hoppedon, this wasn’t DD2 favourite it was a bit dark for her

DSCF8858.jpg

DSCF8859.jpg

Peter Pan was next in our plan, again DD2 didn’t care too much for the dark but she loved moving around and looking down at the scenes of London

DSCF8864.jpg

IASW was one thing we knew DD2 would  or so we thought...............

DSCF8870.jpg

DD2 continued to nap through Philarmagic, DD1 and DS first exposure to 3d glasses this trip :rotfl2:

By the time we left to head for FPs it was getting rather hot and humid, kids wanted to go on cinderella’s golden carousel

DSCF8876.jpg

By now we all felt the heat quite a bit so we used snacks for fruit and water to set us up for getting FPs hitting SM and BTRRM ..............................

Maybe it was just first day happiness :confused3 We seemed to do lots on our first day and there is still more to come. Thought I would wet your appettite with what's still to come from our first day:-

Pirates, JC, Splash, Plaza restaurant, haircuts for the girls and did the kids keep going for our walmart dash :confused3

Such a sweet picture on IASW. Great sneaky pic of construction! Its hard to imagine that all that is behind the walls. They do such a good job of hiding it all.

The kids certainly look like they are enjoying themselves. I am glad you posted the pics of the Fantasyland expansion. I can't wait for it to be done. It looks like it will be a lot of fun, especially for little girls!:lovestruc

Love all the pics of CRT. We have yet to do it, but are going to do it on our next trip. I know my DD is going to love it. I showed her the pics that you posted and she got all excited. Did you do the BBB while on your trip?

They def do it is only when you are over it you can actually see the scale of what they are doing. IASW was so much fun she was so relaxed that she just nodded off :)

It will be great when it is complete :thumbsup2 I did hear a rumour that they were changing the plans again but haven't seen anything about that.

Your DD will love it. Oh yes we visited BBB got lots on that the only thing is that it was at the end our trip so lots to come before then :goodvibes

We left it at the part when we had came off cinderella’s golden carousel. We needed to gets some fluids and a rest for 5 mins so we used some snacks for fruit and drinks. It was getting really hot hot hot :scared1: now so we planned what we wanted to do before lunch and the girls getting haircuts on our way out of the park. The plans were that we would do POC, JC and Splash hopefully before our ADR at 1:50pm. Did we managed that all before lunch:confused3 Here goes first up was POC

DSCF8896.jpg

DD2 woke up right on queue before our food arrived so that mean’t we did not need to stop and get her something on way out. Out lunch was lovely, here is what we had;
