All golf carts taken

Well we arrived at the Fort on 10-26. After waiting all day having not heard from Kenny I called the next morning. To my dismay he said he didn't have anything in my name. I relayed our many conversations and said he had to research and call me back. When he called back he said it was all good and he was blind. He had my reservations and my cart was waiting on me.

So all was well or so I thought. The cart was fine until Halloween night. The kiddos went out Trick or Treating and returned soon saying the lights shut off. Kenny sent some one out the next two days and possibly got them fixed on the third day. But we were too tired to even cart. We returned the cart then next morning.

I consider it bad luck and it definitely changed our plans but I'm not angry. Now I'm waiting on the credit Kenny promised for our loss of use. Overall I was happy with Kenny and his communications.

We had an issue as well so maybe he is getting overwhelmed and can't keep up with demand. We never heard from him the day we were supposed to get a cart. I was trying to be patient. Called and left a message. He did finally return the call and I was told that he was short a cart but he would make it work. I almost think he was hoping I would back out... Which I didn't. I got the cart but there was something dragging and the brakes weren't working the best. I called and he said someone would be out to fix it but they never did. I agree the carts are worn and need some repair. Super nice guy and would do business again, but I think he needs to work on the carts. I didn't feel confident driving and only let my husband due to the brake issue.

Our cart had a brake noise too. He told me not to worry he would take the cart out of service soon and repair them. It stopped okay just made noise at full speed so I let it go. Not sure how many carts Kenny has but he needs extra so he can keep one or two off line for maintenance regardless of how good the money is. At least one to swap out if there is a problem.

Ok, I'm getting nervous about all this talk of Kenny's disorganization and carts needing to be updated. We are arriving this coming Monday and have a 6 seater reserved. My card has been charged already, so hopefully there won't be a mess up in the reservation. Has anyone had a really good experience recently with both Kenny and the cart? :confused3 Are pretty much all the carts in need of an update?

We rented a couple carts for a few weeks in May and never had a problem. Even if there are issues, Kenny is always quick to respond and any needs are met.

Relax and enjoy yourself! :goodvibes:flower3:

Well having another issue now. Our September trip (above) was a moved trip (from November to September). I called Kenny when I knew about the change and he took care of getting us carts (went with 2 - 4 seaters instead of one since more folks were going in September). Anyway. I told Kenny twice that this was a replacement for our November trip and to cancel the November reservation. He confirmed that to me both times on the phone (when I made the change and when I got the night before call in September). Well got a call this Saturday night asking when we would arrive Sunday. I told him we had switched the trip back in September. He said that my card had been charged and that he would look into it and call me back that night. Well since Saturday night I have texted, emailed and called (left voice mail) but nothing back. In the messages I said all I need is confirmation of a charge credit so I don't have to call my bank and dispute the charge. Well nothing! I'm going to call my bank tomorrow if he doesn't contact me (someway) or the credit doesn't show up on my card (I keep looking). I really hate this because Kenny has been such a great resource for all of us. Previously good carts at great prices, but this isn't good.

Update: Kenny called. He is taking car of the charge credit. Said he is very busy on weekends and only gets caught up on Mondays. He was looking at me email when he called. Kenny thought he told me Saturday that he would take care of the credit. I remember him saying he would check to see if the charge occurred and get back to me that night. It was probably a mix of the two. Either way, things are being taken care of.

Anyway, Kenny really needs some help / better organization. Even if he has to raise his rates (he would still be way under Disney).

Update 2: just got an email with a scan of the charge credit receipt from Kenny. Though he is very busy, Kenny's still pulling through. I wish him and his company well and hope he can find the time to improve his business. He's a good guy and has saved many of us a lot of money over the years.

The main thing with Kenny is he stands behind his product! I just got back from FW and had several issues with our golf cart using Central Florida Golf Carts... It was delivered on time and everyone was initially very nice. But first time driving it had a tire with a flat spot. That was annoying but not a deal breaker. Drove it that night and the lights were dim. Cart had plenty of power, though so not the battery. Next night? NO lights! So we called and we were told it was probably the switch. They also said they would not be able to come until Monday. So unable to take cart to marina or bus stops because it would be dark when we returned.

After I emailed them asking for some kind of rebate for our loss of use and all the trouble, the owner flatly refused and accused me of causing the problem by pulling wires, etc... and they would not rebate me anything. I was very nice in explaining why I thought we were owed something. It was even in the contract! But after emailing back and forth and the owner's progressively angry emails I realized I was not dealing with a reasonable business owner. His lack of customer service will be his undoing. :rolleyes2
