All FP machines to be removed from Animal Kingdom by next week and....

I noted that (just as Robo and others predicted): no FP return times listed on MDE app for AK.

I'm still wondering how you would actually do that since guests can book FP+ for any available time slot theoretically and its very dynamic. It doesn't seem worth the effort to try and show a single FP slot available when it could get booked before anyone can get their phone out. Seems like they could display something like "FP still available for today" vs. 1 FP for 10-11 and 2 for 11-12 and 3 for 1-2 etc.

I checked the Standby wait times several of the past days, so I could compare to today.

Here were the wait times at 12:00 noon EST:

Saturday, December 14
Everest: 35 minutes
Safari: 20 minutes

Monday, December 16
Everest: 25 minutes
Safari: 25 minutes

Tuesday, December 17
Everest: 20 minutes
Safari: 40 minutes

TODAY (Wednesday, December 18):
Everest: 25 minutes
Safari: 25 minutes

So, looks like no real impact yet.

Something that just occurs to me is that the app isn't going to show when FPs are no longer available for the day. So unless you're in the park, you won't really know when FPs run out for a particular ride?

So according to ptaylor from live report, guests who have FPs already booked are not able to edit them. Am I reading that right? It's hard to see the images posted on that site on my phone.

I believe they can see them in the app, but they can't edit them in the app. They have to go to a kiosk/CM with iPad to do that.

I didn't really think this test would effect ride waits. I was more concerned with the wait at the kiosks. And I'll give Disney props, they were well staffed for today's test.

Good point. Now is that a bug or a feature? :)

Changeable at a kiosk, but not via app for off-site guests. I would think that on site can still change via app.

If you are an offsite guest, you have to make/change the FP+ reservations at the kiosk. You can only view your reservations on MDE. They already changed one of the FP+ reservations they made at the kiosk.

If it is like what happened with us in the Swolphin test, offsite guests can see the FP+ in the app but cannot change it.

Onsite guests should still work as normal.

I can't seem to double quote but thanks for answers. I think I assumed that ptaylor was onsite. So offsite guests need to change FP+ times at kiosk and onsite (or any guest who has advanced bookings) can change using either kiosk or app?

1. Yes
2. Yes.

A moment of silence here...

I just keep visualizing those kiosk lines on a 10 day at MK. :-O

No kidding. I can't imagine WDW will continuing Kiosk staffing at this level indefinitely; perhaps pre-bookings by off site and AP's (if available) will keep demand reasonable??

I forget if it's on this thread or another thread...but with the iPads, they can boost kiosk capacity as needed just by sending out more CMs with iPads. Not that it will matter on a 10 day at MK though!
