Hi, I just signed up for an all day scrapbooking day for next Saturday. This lady had one a year ago, and from 9:00am-6:00pm I can go scrap, lunch/snacks, provided, and prizes, all for $20.00.
Now I have a week to plan and make a to take list, and what to scrapbook/make birthday cards. Just to get my scrapbooking room all organized, pluss DD19 wants to scrapbook her Disney cruise on Tuesday.
How do yous all get ready for an all day crop/scrapbook day?

I really need help with this, too.
I end up lugging things I don't need.
I've heard folks say they create "kits" so they take only what they will be working on that day. Anyone have any tips on packing light for a Crop?

Many people here "kit" their pages before they go. in other words they put the pitures, paper and embellies all in a ziploc (2gal)or other envelope and then just pull those out.
Me I've pared down from the kitchen sink method. I now am pulling out the pictures from the year (way over what I need to bring, but it will be ready for the next one) The pics and albums will go in my messenger bag, paper and tools in my crop in style rolling bag then all the stamps and accessories will go in the other rolling tote. Paper I will have way more than I need but I can't stand to leave any of it at home. Our all day crops go 8 am till midnight I usually make it through 13 hours then get home check on the kids and scrap some more cause I'm in the groove. The other thing is that my all day crops I scrap past years only this time around it will be 2002 and each child has their own book. I usually manage to get 30-60 pages per kid done and then journal at home.

I love these all day crops!
After the first one I learned to pick out the photos, paper, embellishments, etc ahead of time
I bring about 1 for every hour Im planning on being there
For the next month I need about 22 pages for all the crops/workshops Im attending

I did a whole thread on this exact topic earlier this year and got some fabulous advice. Check it out here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1684261

For what it's worth, I've started kitting and my productivity has increased. I like it and find that it is less overwhelming. Let me know if you have questions.

Hi again. So much for the all day scrapbooking. There is a huge snow storm right now and everything was cancelled. My scrap bags were all organized and packed last night. So I was thinking about spending all day to in my jammies and scrapbook.:rotfl: We just got in from groceries but I had to shovel us into the house first. At least supper is done. Just have to pull the all ready cooked chicken out and grab the buns. How easy.
Well like they sa

That stinks. I hate having plans and changing them cause of weather. We had our monthy "class" yesterday and last night I was talking to the husband and he realized that my next all day crop is this month in the middle of "sugaring" season. He almost flipped his tree!!! I clamly looked at him and told him I'm sure they can survive with out me. Good lord the kids are almost 10 and 7 they can make their own lunches!!! he's got a stove in the sugarhouse they can cook hotdogs!!!! Hope you got some scrappin done.!!!!
