I am dying to go to XPLOR in mexico, but my children are too young to go DS 4 DD 2, my DS would be in the oceaneer club and my DD in the nursery. Has anyone ever done this before? It makes me very nervous ... More for the oceaneer club how good do they watch the 3yo, or do they just let them run free> Any advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

I think you may want to post this on the cruise boards...... but I did exactly what you are talking about 3 yrs ago and my kids are still alive and happy. They are excellent with the kids and it is impossible for them to get out of the club without proper ID from the person picking them up also I think there is some sort of lock on the bands and the only way they can physically get out is with a CM hitting the bypass button. My DD wasn't even 2 yet and she had a blast at the nursery as did my 3 yr old son in the club while DH and I went on an excursion in Mexico. they cried when we picked them up because they wanted to stay.

Oops, thanks i'm still new at this. That is good thank you for relieving my worries! I figure if I book through disney it would be the best way to go since they wouldn't leave us. Did they call you for anything throughout the excursion? I heard you have to order room service or bring food to the nursery.

Definetly book through Disney, more expensive but peace of mind, if your kids are onboard without you, is essential.

I am not sure if the policies have changed or not but when we went they fed the kids. When DD was in the nursery they just asked about allergies and what I thought she would eat. They told me they were having turkey sandwiches and fruit and something else . I guess if you need baby food or something you would have to bring it. They also asked about nap time and eating time etc. I raised my kids to just go with the flow for the most part so I told them to just do whatever they needed at the time. I couldn't believe the lists some of these mom's were spouting off about how Jr had to have the bottle warmed to exactly (blah blah) and it had to be given exactly at x time not a minute before or after and he could have a snack but it could only be 5 pieces of whatever. They were so nice to everyone and were totally shocked when I just said feed her whatever is on the menu at around lunch time, here is her sippy and diapers give her as much water as she wants and change her when she needs it. If she looks tired lay her down but she probably won't nap with all the kids playing. She was there all day and was mad when we came to get her. lol
Def don't do anything in Mexico without booking through Disney. I wouldn't feel comfortable with all the violence you here about. Also take money to give to the restroom attendants. All the stops we made had them and honestly I think that is probably the only money they get to feed their families. They don't speak much English but they kept a clean restroom for you and were very grateful for anything you dropped in heir buckets. Also your driver and tour guide could use some tips. :) When you stop in the village to shop remember that when buying you can and should negotiate the price. I got a hand painted plate that was marked for $50 for $30 but they actually offered it to me at $35 when handing it to me. I don't try to bargain too much but I think about the work that went into it and how much I would pay at a store in the USA if I bought it and then go from there.
Have a great trip and don't worry about your kids. Mine never wanted to see me because they were having too much fun. Hopefully we will be able to do another one soon because DD and DS will both be in the OC and that means DH and I can go to the adult area and chill for awhile.

Thanks for all the great tips! And yeah I'm rather laid back myself when it comes to structure! I will go ahead and set up all arrangements :)
