I just cashed in some freq flyer miles, booked 4 nights in a WDW resort Jan 26 - Jan 30th, and reserved a full size rental car for $127 during my stay.

EE AP preview is a GO for me! I will be travelling SOLO and it will be my 4th trip to WDW within the past 10 months (2nd Solo). I've already spent a total of 29 days at WDW since last April but I'm still excited about this "special" trip.

I'm a guest host of the Trapped on Vacation podcast (I've been doing the Disneyland audio portions) and plan on recording some material for the show. Hopefully, I will be able to meet up with Mr. Trapped himself and do a ride thru recording with both of us.

Annnnnd the week after next, I will be going to Disneyland for 4 days. This will be my third trip to the Anaheim resort in the past 3 months. Man, this month of January is going to be full of Disney adventures. Very cool.

Sound off if you are going to be checking out Everest during the preview. This is gonna be fun. I don't even care if I have to stand in 60 to 90 minute lines for this sucker. I'll be there every morning for a ride.

Wheeee!

I'll be there in line right along with you! I've waited in line before with my husband for 4 hours for Top Thrill Dragster Im ready for anything!

Wish we were going. :guilty: Have a great time! :cheer2: :cheer2:

Yep we are staying the night of the 25th and hitting it first thing the 26th then heading back north to be at work by 3pm

CrazyJ - Looks like I've got some competition. We travel from upstate NY to WDW 4-6 times each year. (Got a bad Mickey jones.) Yeah, we'll be there for the EE preview!
Then, like Goofyfreak, we'll be heading north and back to work. Only 1000 miles further north! :cold:
Just wondering:
- Will it be crowded? :rotfl2:
- How's the weather gonna be on the EE preview days? :rotfl:
-Why are they refurbishing TT when I'm there? :confused3
-What ride will they have a preview of in 2008? :3dglasses

See you guys in line and HNY!!

Booked the weekend back when it was just a DVC preview. Will probably ride on the 29th.

I made my ressies last night for PC for a 3 day weekend... woo hoo!

Ahhh! You are SO lucky!! Pooh!! I won't be there until 2/10 ... do you think if I ask nicely they'll let me ride then?? :rotfl:

Yeah, looks like TT, Buzz, and Splash Mountain will be closed while I'm there. Splash will re-open on Saturday though and it should look great after some cleanup and fresh paint. I'm actually excited about that since, during my past trips this year, the attraction was in pretty awful shape in comparison to earlier years.

I'm also a little upset about them not fixing or replacing the inferno barge for Illuminations. That was always one of my favorite parts of the show.

I was there during September and the parks were pretty empty. I've also been there during Feb which wasn't a bother until President's day weekend rolled around. Crowds should be more than manageable with a little bit of a mess over at Animal Kingdom for the EE preview. However, lets think of the nasty crowds previewing EE as a party ;)

Joe Rhode claims that the standby queue is a fascinating place to be looked at as an attraction in itself so a wait in line won't bother me. Fastpass will be available according to the website posts I've seen but Joe Rhode also said in an interview that you couldn't pay him to use Fastpass for the first handful of rides on EE.

My plan is to skip the preview on the 26th since I will be arriving at the parks around 2:30 PM. I'll probably stick to tradition and spend my arrival half day out at EPCOT. The next morning I'll be standing in line at the gates of Animal Kingdom 45 minutes before the park opening time. There will be some gut wrenching anticipation and, I'm sure, a small parade of people making there way over to EE that morning. It will be nice to see the AK morning Safari Stampede come to a bit of an end when EE officially opens.

Man, I was excited about going out to Disneyland in a week and getting to preview the new Monster's Inc. dark ride but this "special trip" out to WDW has me really excited. It's gonna be a grand month!! Two different Disney trips and TWO NEW RIDES to experience!

We'll see you there, too - taking a friend of mine who has been working her butt off taking classes while holding down a demanding job - first flight down Friday, last flight home Saturday...

It was the most time she could spare, but it's getting her through the next month. And since DH doesn't do roller coasters...

Can't wait! :dog2:

I'm booked for the 26th-30th, too... Still not sure if I'm going to make that one...

Also booked for Feb. 9th-14th and will definitely be going then. Just hope I'll be able to ride EE..... although I'll probably have to wait in quite a line to do so. Which makes me hopeful that the Jan. trip will work out, since that one's limited to AP/DVC members the line should be a little shorter, right???

Me too! I talked my husband into going down for the weekend. I made our reservations Friday. We're flying down Friday afternoon and coming back Monday evening. We're staying at AKL for the first time. We usually stay at the Polynesian, but for this short trip I wanted to try something new.

I can't wait! See you all there!

We just got back from a mini Dec. trip (9-13th). Husband said "book it" lets go for the weekend ! See ya in line :cool1: So excited !

I told my wife while they were building in that I would be heading down when they offered an AP or a DVC preview. I check and saw that they were holding the DVC preview and booked a flight out of Philly and a room at POP from the 26th thru the 29th. Can't wait. We will probably head over to AK when we get there on the 26th and take a ride and we will be there each morning ahead of opening to give it a try again. Really excited about they quick trip. I always like to have a countdown to work towards. Makes getting out of bed and going to work worthwile.

See you all there!!!!
