Congrats last1973.

Will you have a rental car while you are at the Fort/WDW? If you do you could go to Wal-Mart or someplace like that to get some lights maybe for the deck. You will probably bring the costumes from home? I'd suggest maybe keep it simple. Just bring the costumes for the kids and some bags for the candy they collect. And participate in the activities at the Fort, naturally.

You're coming a long way for Halloween so I hope the kids can wait 18 months. Best of luck.

You could also buy some things at Wal-Mart online and have it shipped free to The Fort.

Thanks I didn't know I could get stuff shipped to the fort.
How does that work .

Don't ship it through the Post Office... Here is why... The US Post Office does NOT recognize Disney streets, any and all mail being sent to Disney through the US Post Office will go to the PO Box (regardless of how you address it) as the post office does not deliver to Disney directly. From the PO Box it is sorted into sections and then specific locations before it is delivered out to property. This can take quite a bit of time.

UPs, Fed Ex, DHL, any kind of courier service will deliver directly to the hotel. My suggestion would be to get the package ready and send it out about 7 days prior to your arrival (you can send it further out if you like they will hold it). If you give yourself enough time you can ship it ground service which is the cheapest.

As for who to address it to you would want to address it like this:

The name of the person who is the LEAD name on the reservation (may not be you, but it is easier to find that way)
C/O the hotel you are staying at/ Front Desk
The address of the hotel
And put HOLD for guest check in and the date (you can put the res # too if you want, but it is not really needed).

So it would look something like this

John Smith, Guest
C/O Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground Front Desk

4510 N. Fort Wilderness Trail
Lake Buena Vista, FL, 32830-1000
USA

*Hold for Guest Arrival 10/31/2014

I personally have used the Post Office if I have enough time to let it be sorted through "Disney Central" and then delivered to the correct resort. I would also say to call Fort Wilderness directly to confirm the information I have given you... their number is 1-(407)-824-2900.

Good luck and have a great trip! That is a wonderful time to go!pixiedust:
