Hi all

Landed at Manchester at about 8:15 this morning, after a 7:05 min flight from Orlando, quick eh, top speed was 678 mph, never seen it that high before.

Anyway, as expected a fabulous time, weather a bit mixed few storms, temp never dropped below about 75 at nightand on some days was over 100.

POR fantastic, everything was as magical as we remember and as I looked back over my shoulder at the Epcot ball on out last night I must admit to having a tear in my eye.

Any questions, feel free, heelys, crocs, weather etc.

Cheers

Steve

Welcome home stevechase,
How did you find the foodcourt at POR ? It has changed since we were there last, and I wondered if the choice was as good, as we're going back in October.

Hi there

It was ok, the usual Disney stuff, pancakes waffles breakfast platters etc for breakfasts.

They do a nice beef and blue cheese ciabatta for lunch and some of the salads were nice too.

I must admit, it is the one thing that does get you down a bit the food, not just at POR but Disney in general. Nothing wrong with it, the chips (and nuggets for the kids) were always hot, as were the burgers, but I could have killed for a roast beef dinner.

We had breakfast at Crystal palace (as I missed the date for Chef Mickey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, which went down like a pork chop at a jewish wedding I can tell you)

The breakfast there was excellent, although not having an America appetite could not take full advantage.

I brought our DD6 some last Xmas and she just loves them. If you wanted to buy them before you go and have them delivered to your hotel I recommend going on taylorshoes.com their price is $59.99 if you brought them over here that would cost you that in £££ (I will be ordering from them in the next few days for DD as its her bday when we are over there)

Just remember to buy a size bigger than what you actually need.

Sorry Steve I forgot to say welcome home. Maybe you can give us a more detailed version of you trip in a trip report???

I'm interested about learning more about POR as well - as we check in for 2 weeks in 2 weeks.

Thanks!

Hi all

Awake for the moment.

The heelys we got from a place called Journeys (I think) at the Florida mall, not far from Downtown Disney. They came out at 70$ per pair, approx £35 half UK price. In fact the shop was full of English with their kids trawling through boxes.

The crocs at various places were about half uk prices too.

Someone asked about a jumper at night. Bit of an unfair question to me really, I hardly ever wear anything other than shorts and t shirts on hols anyway, but my wife bless her, who is always cold, never wore a jumper (or the coats that they took!) the lows at night were about 75 deg.

POR, nice place, prefered the POR to FQ, the greenery is fantastic, feels very "deep south" and with the storms, very warm and humid. Pools nice too, very well lifeguarded.

Hope this helps, will start a report and have loads of pics if anyone interested.

Here is a point to close on!

Why, when people are swimming and playing around in the pool (or water park) and it starts to rain, do they run from the water seeking shelter????????

Cheers

Steve! yawn!

Welcome home steve sound like your still on a hight from your trip:banana:
