Yes, you read right, we've loaded up our stuff and are heading down Florida way by AMTRAK. This could be called the Bear Necessities Tour, because I have condensed the 'everything but the kitchen sink' list that goes with us when we take our van down to a very much smaller list of 'have to haves'. It is amazing what you don't need when you're going to be hauling it all over! I meant to post a list of what we're taking and how I've packed it in case anyone was interested in doing it in the future or if you just want to take a peek inside the madness
. If you'd like it, I can post it here when we get back.
We're doing everything differently this time, the train is the biggie. It's only going to take us 2 more hours than it would to drive and is only $50 more than what we would have used in gas. We didn't request our favorite loop, we've moved on up to the east side and reserved a full hook-up. I'm hoping for something in the 800 loop but we're so excited we'll love anywhere. We have a new tent that's huge, it's the mansion of tents; it has a huge screen front window that I'm going to love feeling the breeze through it as we sleep (hoping there will be a breeze!).
We aren't doing the parks, but don't cry for me Argentina. We weren't even supposed to be going to Florida this year but when I thought about where I wanted to be for my 40th birthday, there was no question that Fort Wilderness is where I wanted to lay my head. So, we'll have no choice but swim until we're pruny, play tetherball till we're dizzy and watch every single electric water parade while we're there. Oh the torture!!
And there's always rocking on the front porch in front of Crockett's for so long you forget there ever was a care in the world.
See you real soon!
