All AAA sold out for April???Come on!

Just got off the phone with Disney, ( do they know anything? Really?)

Wanted a rate for ROOM ONLY with AAA. She says they are all sold out for that week in April? No AAA rates left for ANY value for that week!!!???? She tells me there are only a certain number rooms for the AAA discount, and they are all gone.( for the Values)She tells me she can book a package, which she tells me is cheaper then AAA, if I add the counter service dining plan and one day base tickets.I would be getting a discount of 20% off the room.
I thought some DIS experts could tell me if that is correct.


April 22- 26 ( 4 nights )
2 standard rooms @ POP( did not want pop, but the other values only had prefered rooms left), ( apparently )
one day base tickets for 5 adults/1 child
with the counter service meal plan 5 adults/1child.....

for $2006.74.


This can't be right...AAA would be a better rate, wouldn't it?I think I need to call my AAA rep. She said the room only rate is $105 for Wed/Thursday and $115 for Friday/ Sat during that week.So for each room it would be $495 taxes in. I know AAA would be better, right?

you can't be telling me that they are saying all value resorts are booked for that week are you? thats the week we plan on going and i didn't plan on booking for quite awhile. thats insane! please tell me i missunderstood......

WEll I had rooms only held for April 3-11 for a non-guaranteed rate of $119. + tax = 134.47. I called today to apply the AAA rate, now with the AAA discount it is 121.50 + tax = 137.30 per night. Value's really went up!!

She said they are for AAA, not all rooms.

I called Disney on Tues. to book Pop for me & my sister in Dec. The CM said that AAA rates were not out yet for Dec. I'm actually hoping for AP rate but thought I'd try getting AAA. I don't think AAA is available anyway from their website but I know AAA rates for Dec. are out.

oh ok. i didnt realize there were a certain number of rooms where you could get the AAA rate. i was hoping to use my AAA but it looks like i might not be able to now

there is no way the AAA rates are all gone.
I don't usually book my March trip until Oct.
I'm going to wait until then and try again.
It just can't be right.

There are not very many AAA discounted rooms at each resort.Last Nov I called to book a room with my AAA discount for this Sept, and struck out at every single resort I wanted for my dates.I was finally able toget the GF for 2 weeks after the dates i wanted.I eventually changed everything completely...but that is a different story

We booked room only for our April 2009 trip with AAA 3 months ago. Staying at ASMu Fam Suite, but now that we have purchased DVC, will probably modify to only stay there Fri and Sat night.

Could it be that, since prices only went up yesterday, they're just not caught up?? Or could that possibly be Easter Week? (If so, then it's possible that all the AAA rooms are gone I suppose)

I say you call your AAA travel agent today and have him or her work on it.

My AAA agent just called me and told me that both the CSR (our first choice) and POFQ were all booked for the 5 days in January that we are going.

They told her that POR and CBR were available and suggested that we take one of these now and she will continue to try to get us into the CSR. She was even skeptical and the only explanation she could give was that because CSR was a convention hotel, it may be booked for groups. She has never seen this before, and has been doing our Disney trips since the early 90's. I told her to go with POR for now - don't want to stay at CBR.

I really hope we can get into CSR - we were all starting to get excited about staying there.................

Well, I made reservations this AM for Feb 8-12 and the CM who took the reservation told me AAA rates hadn't been released yet. Then I found this thread and called back and got my 20% AAA discount!

I think I'm going to wait until October. I find this really time consuming, and frustrating quite frankly.
I was on the phone for over 20 min with that agent ( taking all our info, yet again...shouldn't we be in the system..we've been to Disney 8 times!).

I think it's like Aliceacc said. It might take a while for them to get caught up.

That's why I say if you hear something from a CM that doesn't sound right, call back.

I was able to get the AAA discount to an existing reservation for May 09 at CR.
