Oh my!! Such fun. We took our babies to WDW in celebration of their 2nd birthdays and just returned last night. It was wonderful! Here is a quick recap...
Our party of four: (daddy, me, L and D)
Resort: Wyndham Bonnet Creek, 2 bedroom deluxe. Fab location (next to Caribbean Beach resort), lots of space, laundry room, 2 baths, balcony, great pools/slides/minigolf and playground, and good price (less than $700 for 6 nights)
Length: 6 nights, 7 day base tickets
Special events: MVMCP (wonderful, but a crowded night)
ADRs: Crystal Palace (breakfast - amazing!!), Hollywood and Vine (breakfast - very good), Chef Mickey's (dinner; it was nice but we liked breakfast much better), Les Chefs de France (lunch; yummy and great service), TRex (Downtown Disney, good food and wonderful ambiance). Counter service: Different countries in Epcot (yum), Pizzafari (okay, fun setting), ABC Commisary (fine), Pecos Bills (good and fabulous parade viewing), Japan kiosk (fine, quick).
Best fireworks viewing: Bridge between the Castle Hub and Tomorrowland. Find a spot under Tink's cable - she'll fly right overhead and the fireworks view is superb.
Parade viewing: great spot at Pecos Bill's, outdoor table nearest to the road. Also good spots along Town center at entrance/exit.
Move it/ Shake it/ Celebrate it party: lots of fun and good character interaction at Castle Hub.
Illuminations viewing: great spot on bridge between UK and France, away from trees. Also, good view near Test TracK in Future World.
Other tips: the GAC card saved us (autism, helped reduce waiting times, provided alternate entrances, stroller as a wheelchair); used the heck out of fastpasses (we collected them and had up to 5 at a time in the evening), loved Rider Switch passes (we combined them with FPs). Arrived at or around rope drop, left for 3+ hours after lunch, returned late afternoon/early evening. Rope Drop show at MK is totally worth it! Departure show at AK is great, too.
Best plan for our family: Go early. Go to 2 favorite adult rides and get 1 FP for each ride. Ride/FP any high demand adult rides in the am and/or collect 1 additional fastpass for that ride before boarding. We only needed 1 FP per ride because Rider Switch allows the other adult (plus 3 additional riders) access. Then, ride kids rides (for us, we used the GAC approx 80% of the time and had significantly reduced wait times). When we returned later in the day after a break, we had FPs if we wished to use them. Otherwise, we gave them away. Several character greets allowed us to use the GAC if D was really struggling, others we sucessfully waited in lines, and others, we had to skip.
There it is in a nutshell. Looking forward to the next trip... ;)

Oh...
Had to add the following -
We had Pixie Dust times 10!!
VIP seating at Fantasmic (included the ability to be seated 5 minutes before the ashow. Amazing!!)
Fabuolus birthday breakfast at Crystal palace, including birthday cards signed by Pooh and friends and 2 furry souvenirs.
Cinderella coming out to the alternate queue to meet our one tantruming toddler, dear D. She sang to him, calmed him and gave us unbelievable photo ops.
Wonderful cast members in Town Hall who rearranged our ADRs (last minute) to allow us to attend MVMCP.
Several sweet CMs who volunteered to park our stroller for us.
Disney, yet once again, went above and beyond.

Sounds like a good trip, glad I came over from Theme Parks board b/c I need info on Bonnet Creek. We are booked there in May for the first time. I am an on site all the time type of gal and am a little leary. Staying at CBR last month helped ease some of my fears since I could see WBC the whole time but I still have some questions.

What building were you in?
Did you have any views of Epcot and the fireworks frpm there?
Have you ever stayed on proprty before in a WDW hotel?
Did it feel like it was lacking Disney magic?

Did you drive to the parks or use the shuttle? How was the shuttle if you used it?

Were the kiddie pool areas good for the kids? How about grown up pools, where they too crowded to feel comfortable with the kiddos in with you? (I have a 6yr old who will not learn how to swim).

Sounds like a great trip. Wow! 2 yo twins...yikes :worship:
I'm joining in and interested to hear how the trip went :thumbsup2

We LOVED Bonnet Creek! Our unit was in Tower 5, floor 8, and we had a (very slightly obstructed) view of Epcot's fireworks from our balcony. The pools are wonderful and they have great areas for kids (splash zones, slides, zero entry, lazy rivers, etc). Large enough that crowds were not an issue. When we go again, I will choose a top floor of Tower 2, and request a fireworks and lake view. There is no Disney "feel", as far as Disney decor. But there are CMs onsite to help with Disney planning. There are also activities planned every day of the week - reptile show, movies, scavenger hunts, tiedying t shirts, ice cream sundae making, etc.
Recently, we stayed at the Poly and AKL (savannah view). They are fabulous, no doubt. But the extra bedroom and bathroom, plus a full kitchen and laundry room at WBC were invaluable. And the price cannot be beat.
The location is amazing. WBC parking lot to MK turnstile (after monorail from TTC) is 35 minutes (this is the longest trek because of the configuration of the parking lot there and the need to ride the boat or monorail to access the park); to AK turnstile, about 15 minutes; to DHS and Epcot turnstile, 5-10 minutes. Easy. Easy. Easy. You just can't beat the location for the cost, space and amenities.
remember, it's not a hotel, so you won't have housekeeping. Check out is a breeze, just a smiple phone call.
