Alice on the Tea Cups

We saw Cinderella ride the carousel at DL with a little girl when we were there in NOV of '07

We were on Cinderella's Carousel....it was about to begin when Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Pluto got on.

We saw Mickey and Minnie ride Dumbo about a month ago at the beginning of evening EMH. Im not sure if they do it all the time, but it was pretty cool.

We also saw Belle take a girl on the teacups once, I think it was a Make a Wish thing.

My dd was in line to meet Alice in 2008 when she had to go in for her break. The helper said Alice would be back in 15 minutes. We decided to wait there for her, but all the people behind us left. When Alice & the Mad Hatter got back she was the only one waiting for them there. They held out their hands to her and took her into the tea cups and rode it with her. DD was so excited! pixiedust: Sometimes it pays to be patient.

During freezing cold EMH's in January 2010, at about 11:30pm we rode the carousel with Chip, Dale, and Goofy.

Anyone know of riding with Tigger or Pooh on Pooh?

Any other rides? (besides the one's mentioned?)

When we were at the MK back in 2001, we were at the covered character spot across from the Pooh ride and we saw Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore each pick a child from the line and ride with them. It wasn't early morning, either.

In the MK in mid June I saw Chip and Dale riding Dumbo with children during evening EMH. And it was past 2:30 am in the morning. I was kinda confused that they were out that late. I though I was sooo tired I was just seeing things, but a friend confirmed I was not insane and they were really there haha!

When we were at DH 2 years ago, we saw Alice and the Mad Hatter riding the teacups with a little girl. She was a "special person of the day" or some such title.

It sure does happen! We were there on August 1st and DD was chosen by Alice and the White Rabbit to ride with them. It was very very fun!

A few years ago my niece and DD were just about to get in line to get an autograph with Alice. We heard her handler say to her "it's time for you to ride your ride". Alice went and got on the ride and my girls ended up being first in line, therefore being able to choose the teacup Alice was in. It was a great memory.

Back when they had the Little Ones magic hours (I don't think that's what it was called...when the characters were out playing games for an hour in Fantasyland before the park opened) they rode the carousel with Chip and Dale as well.

WOW! I had no idea that this happened so often and with so many different rides and characters! :thumbsup2

We've seen Alice and the Madhatter on the teacups many times. The best for this kind of thing was when they had the early emh for little ones a couple of years back. The characters were everywhere, interacting with the kids - very cute stuff!

I REALLY wish they'd bring that back. My friend went and told me all about it. Stitch rode Dumbo, Mary Poppins told stories, Peter Pan and Wendy played duck, duck, goose with the kids. It sounded SO magical! :wizard:

Seems to me that the "Magical Beginnings" Little Ones Travel Time went away when free dining came in. I think the "Magical Beginnings" was an early attempt to boost attendance in September, which had been slow -- but it didn't quite have the impact they were looking for. Free dining, on the other hand...

It really was great! I remember Pooh, Mary Poppins, Alice and others playing duck duck goose with kids in Pooh's playground! I have some pics somewhere of it... along with a game of "Mickey says..." (i.e. Simon Says) :goodvibes

I actually think she was on free dining that year too. It was one of the first years for it. It was an awesome trip for them. :goodvibes

But in general, they need to do a LOT more of this. People love it, and it's what sets Disney apart.

So where do we sign the petition to bring it back????? I would have scheduled an entire trip around doing this. :goodvibes

Anyone at Disney marketing listening?????

If you find the petition, let me know! :) We did schedule things around it to a great degree, and didn't regret it.

Right -- they phased one out and the other in right around the same time. I want to say 2007, but I could be wrong.

I have seen Alice in the teacups around mid day, and I saw the fab 5 riding Dumbo around closing one evening. Too fun!
