I'm sorry if there has already been a thread on this, but I've been gone for quite a while don'tcha know?

but....My brother said that the rumors have been confirmed and Disney IS making an Alice in Wonderland movie with Tim Burton, I for one am very exited to see it although I am a little disappointed that it's gonna be in 3D.

Thoughts anyone?

I frickin' love anything Tim Burton does. That man is a genius! And I'd love to see Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter. That would be awesome beyond awesome.

Tim Burton is AMAZING! Hes one of my idols. Anything he does is brilliant, :)

I Love Alice In Wonderland.

Oh Mah Gawdsh.
:o

I wonder if there will be any Songs :cool1:

Yeah i heard that Tim Burton is doing it, but with DISNEY?
Hadn't heard that!! And I don't believe it.
I don't think Disney would let Burton, well Burton-ify Alice.
(obviously I know Alice isn't a Disney original, but they have their version and I don't think they'd do a Tim Burton version)

OKay...and i just checked IMDB and apparently it is being produced partly by Disney...that is quite shocking.

Anyways, I sincerly hope Johnny Depp has nothing to do with this movie.

(as i'm sure some of you know my opinion on burton/depp collabs.--i'm not a fan...and im pretty sure i'm the only person in the world who isn't lol)

I like Tim Burton and his films and all.

But 3D?
Gah. I got such a headache watching Spy Kids 3D.
I'm ok with the rides at WDW that are 3D, like phillharmagic, but not movies, they're too long.
If it's not 3D then I'm all for it.
But if it is, I'm not sure how I'll feel about it, until I watch it. 3D movies give me headaches.

Tim Burton is amazing! I hope this is true.
But I'm not too excited about the 3D idea.

i hate them too.
both of them get way too much, in my opinion, undeserved attention.

THANK THE LORD (if he does exist ;) ) for you!!!!

We are literally one in a million people I think!!

If you go on the board on IMDB ever if anyone says ANYTHING negative about Tim Burton and/or Johnny Depp they get about 500 people jumping down their throat and telling them how ST00000PID they are for not seeing the
AM4ZZZZZING GEEEENIUS that is Burton and all of his amazzzzing darkness and dakr humour and dark colours and artistic campiness and blaaaahblaaahblaaah. :rolleyes1

Can you say TWISTED?!

Yayyy!!

As a kid, Alice in Wonderland was my FAVORITE movie. Tim Burton = awesome. I love Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride!! Didn't see Sweeney Todd (and I won't, it'll give me nightmares) but still. Oh, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, too!

Whoooo a new Tim Burton! :) :) :) :) :)

Sounds rather interesting. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favourite Disney movies :)

well... over the next 4 years, only 2 of the 10 animated movies being released by Disney aren't going to be in 3-D... Wall-E and the Princess & the Frog.

Yeah, I know. :headache:

I'll probably end up watching them anyways.
Maybe after I watch some of them I won't get headaches as often.

I hate how its the cool new thing to make off beat weird movies now, and people like them because its the cool new thing. Across the universe fit into that vein perfectly, as have 99% of Tim Burton's films. Tim burton thinks he can do anything because his fanbase would do no less than cheer him on even if he was stabbing their mothers. He's got it in his head that he's some amazing artistic dark creator, but really, he's just another blockbuster director.

And JD is famous because a bunch of 11-13 year olds think he's hot. I love almost everything he did before POTC, but now the thought of him makes me ill. It takes a lot for me to watch one of his recent movies.

:thumbsup2 correct!
it's all about hype and what's hip and cool and 'different', when really, it's not different at all.
I totally agree with you about Across the Universe---that movie was just TOOOOO much 'creativity' and 'art'...which basically defeated any chance of it actually being artistic and just made it a big, epic mess.
And ITA with you about Tim Burton & JD!!! I've been saying that forevaaaa but no one believes me!! lol!!

Srrry for hijacking this board lol!!
back to your discussion everyone.:goodvibes

Across the Universe was basically people who weren't artists wanting to be artists. They were trying to make it cool and off beat, but it just ended up like Big Fish. Random and weird.
