We rode it yesterday, but they still have it listed around the park as being closed. We took a guided tour and even the guide thought it was going to be January before it would reopen.

We went by today, albeit at 7:30 am during MM hour, and it was definitely closed. They were outside working on it, but we never went back to check so sounding from others it was open later. I will have to check back tomorrow.

I just got back from my first DLR trip late Saturday night and I got a chance to ride on it Friday. It was closed Wednesday and Thursday (the 11th and 12th), so I was excited to see it open on Friday. Who would have thought that Friday the 13th would have been a good luck day for me to get on the ride?

FYI, one CM told me on Wednesday that Alice was going down for an extended refurb and wouldn't open until 2011. I was bummed to say the least, but when I asked the ride operator on Friday when getting ready to board, she said she hadn't heard of that rumor. So be careful out there who you get info from.

It was open on the 13th and 14th (at least when I walked by). I understand that point of the railing, but what is the reason for the canvas coverings of the loading area underneath the outside track?
